I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you. Thank you for sharing your story. It is unfortunate that lasers in under trained hands can have such poor outcomes.

Please keep us posted on what changes you see in your skin.

Oh imsorry2now, that's my exact skin at 33 when I finished my ips sessions and it hasn't gotten any better. I think almost 2 years later it has finally settled for now, but I know I can't go back. I pray that no one does any kind of lasers/ipls until more research is done and these companies are regulated.

I've got the exact same damage from full face cutera pearl. I am 5 months out. At first I could not see it because of the swelling. A week later, the swelling had gone down and he first really visible change was the area under my eyes- cross-hatch wrinkles and saggy skin. a month after that I noticed the vertical lines down my left check. For whatever strange reason, the right side of my face did not sustain as much damage as he left side (ecept under the eyes - it is equal damage on both sides). My upper lip has extremely pronounced vertical lip lines now. It honestly looks like major lipoatrophy big time - but it gets reflected in the skin tone and texture. I am about to try a peel to see if that will make the lines go away. My skin is paper dry still peeling small flakes- so I wanted to wait longer.

Word of advice. I understand the panic look at my pictures I know very depressing. Think about what a chemical peel does it removes more skin and it makes it even thinner. The damage areas appear to be on the surface but lasers thermal does the damage much deeper that is part of the theory involved. Do a test patch wait at 30 days I do everything on one side of my forehead so I can see if something makes it better, no change or ugh like with Retin A worse! Please take it slow and be cautious. Best to you

Yep, and my warning to everyone: NEVER HAVE ANY PROCEDURES DONE ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!!!!!! The reason why there are so many doctors in Florida is because it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to sue a doctor for malpractice in Florida. And, Malpractice insurance is so cheap for them because they are so legally protected.

Who was the doctor that you went to in Tampa? You can email me if you want.

Hi, I have the same damage as you from IPL. My skin looks the same. Have you seen any improvements?

You know it has been exactly 2 years ago. It is weird things will get better than all of sudden a week goes by and I see more damage. I hope it has stopped but it seems like one step forward, and two steps back. I hate doing a chemical peel but I have gone organic inside and out for two years with very little improvement. I will not have laser ever again but I will try dermrolling and a chemical peel. Slow and easy so afraid of further damage. I have found a natural skin brightner in an Arbonne skin brightner has really helped after about a month with the brown patches made worse by IPL. I will post back in two weeks to let you know about texture improvement
