Natural Looking, Newly-symmetrical Breasts - Langley, BC

ORIGINAL POST

Having been small-breasted all my life, I always...

WORTH IT$8,000
Having been small-breasted all my life, I always dreamed of having a little more, but did not want the obvious 'fake' look. One of my breasts was also noticeably smaller than the other one, which made finding a good-fitting bra very frustrating.

During my consultation, I expressed my desire to "go as big as I could go while still looking natural". Being 30 and never having had children, my breast skin was very tight (i.e. would not stretch very much, and there was not a lot to work with). Because I have very little body fat in my torso, highly-cohesive silicone gel implants in a teardrop profile (also known as anatomical shape), implanted sub-pectorally through a crease incision were suggested. I had arrived at the same conclusion through my own independent research, but it was very comforting to have my conclusion corroborated in person by the surgeon.

To correct the breast asymmetry, my smaller breast received a 375mL high-profile implant, while the larger breast received a 320mL moderate-profile implant. This 55mL implant size difference has evened out my breasts perfectly; both bra cups fit the same now. I used to wear a 36A/B, and now I wear anywhere from 36C to 36/34D, depending on the brand of bra. I consider my breasts to be an honest C-cup. The scars are just under two inches long, and hidden perfectly in the breast crease. Immediately after surgery, I had hyper-sensitive nipples, but this disappeared completely by the one month post-surgery mark. This was about the time I was able to wear underwire bras with no irritation to either the nipples or the healing incision.

My implants are also known as gummy bear implants. While they are firmer than natural breasts, I absolutely LOVE them and haven't looked back! Nobody can tell my breasts are augmented because the final outcome looks so natural and in proportion with my 5’11”, 160lb figure. Three months post-surgery, the implants have settled nicely, my breasts feel great, and I have resumed my moderate workout routine.

Dr. Mosher and his staff have a very comprehensive, easy-to-follow pre-op and post-op plan. My surgery was complication-free. Personally I did not require painkillers beyond the day after surgery because I experienced minimal pain during recovery. I only experienced discomfort due to skin stretching, and this was easily resolved with ice-packs, which were only necessary for the first week.

Every step of the way, from the initial phone call and assessments, to the surgery day where they wheeled me right to my car, through all the post-op follow-up appointments, the common thread has been professionalism and friendliness on the part of Dr. Mosher and every member of his staff. I am more than satisfied with my new girls and highly recommend anyone contemplating breast augmentation visit Dr. Mosher’s office for an informative consultation.

glad your happy! you do look very natural!
Thank you! One of the best decisions I ever made :)

Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf! You look great! I agree, you look very natural and the size suits your frame perfectly. Did you tell any of your friends or family about your procedure? Congratulations!

I told EVERYBODY about my surgery! Before, for data and opinions, and afterward for the same reasons as well as to help anyone considering the procedure. For me there are no secrets. Eagerly sharing my story has made a lot of people open up about theirs and discussion is always good!

Good for you...I couldn't agree more! Did you encounter any negative reactions?

I don't think any reactions were truly negative, as I try to limit my contact with negative people anyway. (lol). My friends who had had medically necessary reductions and horrible surgery experiences were understandably cautionary. Even if they sort of used scare tactics, I appreciated their concern because they took the time to fill me in on their side. By far, most reactions were along the lines of: "You're beautiful as you are, why undergo medically unnecessary surgery", and "I never thought you'd do that", more surprised reactions than negative, I'd say.

I also had two friends that had reductions...one of them got terrible results. Then I came along and got implants. Fortunately we were able to joke around about it but it's nice to have a few understand friends. You look great!!

They look great ! Very natural ! Your results are very nice .
Your new breasts look great, I am kind of in the same boat as you (small breasted, but wanting larger natural looking that fit my frame) Do you find that the firmness has settled into a bit of a softer feel after a few months? Also, do you mind if I asked how much you paid? Just because that is the same implant I am considering, but would prefer to have the areola incision. Thanks so much!
Thank you! I paid just under $8,000 CAD and they are worth every penny. They were much softer about three months post-op. I had very tight skin, and having never had children my breasts had never changed size until the implants so it's possible the 'dropping and fluffing' took a little longer for me compared to someone else. The magic point for me was 6-9 months post op - no visual difference from 3 months, but ever so much softer. Nobody knows they're implants until I tell them - subpectoral implantation did me good for a natural-looking décolletage. I was happy for the infra mammary incision though because I personally didn't want my nipples touched. My scars are about 1.5 inches long, healed great, and are hidden by every bikini top and bra. A girlfriend got aeroelar incisions and her nipples are beautiful post-op so just confirm with your plastic surgeon what will work for you. Good luck and happy implant researching!
Thank you so much for the reply! I also have never had children (never will), did you not want your nipples touched for reasons to do with the procedure (sensation loss risks) or you just didn't want scaring or..? Thanks again!
I was worried about possible impacts on breastfeeding, as well as scarring. I like how my scars are hidden in the crease. If I were a performer or model who did a lot of nude shoots I may have opted for the aeroelar incision, but I'm more than happy with my results. My surgeons recommendation upon examining me (and hearing me beg for an extra 50cc) was for the infra mammary incision too, and deferred to his judgement as his results were consistently good.
Did you pay 8000 with tax
Yes, it was just under $8,000 including taxes.
