After years of smoking and tanning I went to the doctor to have botox and filler for the severe wrinkles around my mouth. I was informed it wouldn't help and that I should have a deep chemical peel. The experience was incredible.

The first week it was hard to imagine that beauty was beneath all the dead skin waiting to fall off. Now 5 weeks later I look like I did in my thirties. I just turned 63 and it's amazing to turn a year older and look thirty years younger. People again are telling me I'm so pretty, it's been at least 10 years since I've heard that. I would do it again with out a doubt. It's well worth the time and money. To remain indoors for 4 weeks for possibly 20 years of the fountain of youth is worth every minute. Go for it!

Hello,
You look great;)
I also went two weeks ago & had a chemical peel. With the facial. It was wonderful, the only draw back is the peeling.... But that's part of the process. I really thought something was wrong the week or so after I was soo dry FYI if any body is thinking of doing the chemical peel. I stayed out of the sunlight as much as possible & moisturizer like crazy. But I also wanted to get Botox. My skin for now looks great & Bright natural glow.

Hello Prettyagain,
What a transformation! You look wonderful! This really worked well for you. I will be attending school at the end of this month where I will be learning about chemical peels as well as many other areas of spa treatments. So exciting. I can't wait to be able to help people feel young and beautiful again. You go girl! You are truly an inspiration!

You look great prettyagain. Please give us a 1 month update. What type of chemical peel did you have. I am 50 and VERY interested on the procedures you had. I too am a former smoker and sun worshiper.

Again, you are very beautiful!!!

I will be going in on Tuesday for the final touch up (milder solution around the lips) will go through the peeling again but I'm looking forward to it because I know the final outcome will be terrific. I had lip injections last week and I can't believe what I see in the mirror... why didn't I do this earlier in life. Thanks for your gracious comments. PS I wear sunscreen everyday to protect my skin from exposure that could promote wrinkles.

Can you please share what KIND of peel did you have? Was ir the blue peel or TCA?
eea 28 Jul 2011
what type of peel did you have?
Prettyagain 29 Jul 2011
I had the TCA peel. The type of peel one would decide on depends on the doctor and how severe the skin damage is. Mine was severe. My doctor prefered the chemical over lazar because he felt he could control the procedure more with the chemical. I hope this is helpful.

Did you go to a dermatologist?

Prettyagain 2 Aug 2011
No, I went to a plastic surgeon. My initial visit was for botox at that time he informed me I was not a canidate for botox. My skin was to damaged so he recommended a peel.

So ...in the last picture....did you have Botox or Collagen injections or is that just from the peel?? You do look great! I had the Blue Peel a few years ago...and I thought I would die! The pain was almost unbearable..PLUS...I looked like Smurfette when I left the office. Very embarassing...and it stayed that way for 3 days. It helped a little..but not the effect I was told I'd get. PLUS...she didn't put enough on my neck so that it would peel. It actually looked worse because the chemicals burned my skin but never peeled. I'm going to have to check into the type you got. Were you put to sleep?

Prettyagain 16 Aug 2011
I had fill in my lips.. the rest of the look is strickly from the peel. I had a slight amount of pain the first evening and nothing after... I couldn't believe the recovery time... 1 week and I was back wearing makeup... don't get me wrong the redness didn't completely go away for about the first month. However makeup covered it. So I was extremely happy with the whole procedure and the recovery. Thanks for sharing about the blue peel. Glad my doctor opted for the one he used.

Thank you it is amazing to hear the comments I receive when I'm out in public. I'm in Florida at the moment and I had to take my pup to the vet. I was asked to fill a form out that asked your employer and I wrote retired. The recptionist came over and asked was it correct and was I retirement age.... I replied yes and she stated... omg you look incredible.. my procedure was so worth it... your mom won't be sorry... good luck

You look fantastic!! I guess it worth take a flight, and meet Dr. Kash for the same procedure... Hard to find a good doctor.
Prettyagain 9 Nov 2011
He is amazing, very personable and is a perfectionist. Truely a nice man. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else. I have a friend that works for another doctor and could get discounts but there is no way I would change doctors after my procedure. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment...
