Hardest Decision- Beyond Happy I Chose Dr. G - La Jolla, CA

I had been thinking about the procedure for years. After competing in boxing and increasing my training, I lost most of my breast tissue, along with two cup sizes. No matter what I did (even gaining weight), I never regained the size. I wanted my natural full breasts back! Couldn't be happier with Dr. G.

Most women seem to go off of word-of-mouth when selecting a surgeon. Worse yet, they limit their options to the surgeons their friends used. I have a big problem with this. Of course if I ask my girlfriend if she liked her surgeon, she's going to say "yes," unless something went horribly wrong. Then, I ask my girlfriends how THEY selected a surgeon and they say "well so-and-so used him." That's not good enough for me.

So I took it upon myself to do an exuberant amount of research. My goal was to find a surgeon who knew everything about cohesive implants, the types, sizes, surgical techniques. I wanted a surgeon knowledgeable enough to be able to lay out my options and provide a great recommendation for my goals and my body. So I studied..a lot, not about the surgeons, but about the products. I studied the manufacturers, the warranties, the stability of the companies, the sizes available in Europe and the US, the different shapes, the different gels, etc. That way, when I attend my consults, I knew whether the surgeon actually had experience with all three types of cohesive implants by asking some pointed questions.

I selected four surgeons based on the reviews and before/after photos. I went to four consults total. Two surgeons were easily out of the running because they gave me wrong information about the implants, couldn't explain the differences very well and/or only had experience with one or two of the three cohesive implants available. I narrowed it down between Dr. Teitlebaum and Dr. G. Dr. Teitlebaum was highly qualified, came highly recommended and had extensive experience and knowledge with each of the implants. Dr. G was equally knowledgeable and experienced. Both doctors had the same aesthetic goals as me and preferred creating natural looking breasts. I also wanted breasts that FELT like breasts and not bags of water or hard round stones. Again, both surgeons had great recommendations and understood my goals completely. It was one of the toughest decisions I made in a long time. However, Dr. G's attention to his clients is beyond compare. I never felt rushed during my consults and whenever I sent follow up questions (which there were a lot of), I got a response the same day FROM Dr. G. None of the other surgeons were nearly as attentive. Ultimately, I went with my gut. Dr. G is warm, inviting, and does an excellent job of treating you as more than a mere potential patient.

The entire experience with Dr. G and his office was incredible. Eva is very sweet, patient, and gives great advice and recommendations. She was also very responsive to any questions or concerns. I brought my boyfriend in on my second consult and he was treated with just as much respect. I truly felt cared for in this office. Everything was flawless. Even the after-care was exceptional. I was in a significant amount of pain as my pecs were very tight after the surgery. This was a result of my boxing and training regime. Dr. G was very responsive to my concerns and did not hesitate to provide additional pain management after he saw how much pain I was experiencing. It was a huge relief as some doctors are skeptical when a female patient comes in complaining about pain. Dr. G, as always, listened to my concerns and was more than willing to help.

I can't say enough about my experience and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I love my results. Dr. G gave me exactly what I asked for and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and schedule a consult. You won't regret it.
