5 weeks post-op tomorrow. Pain is getting better, scars are healed and starting to lighten up nicely. Still seem to be a different size and/or shape every day. I'm sure if I'd just had an explant I would be back to normal everything by now, but the lift is making the healing process really drag out. But I'm still glad all the surgery is behind me - I'm sure I'd have had the lift done at some point, now I don't have to wonder or regret or plan for a future surgery. Good luck to all who are also healing and to those with upcoming surgeries!!

Okay, I'm feeling a bit more positive today.... 3 days since my last post and things are feeling and looking a bit better. However, I am now on Prednisone to reduce the inflammation and only wearing a bra about 6 hours per day. If I was still cooped up in that bra 24/7 with it pressing on my incisions I think I would be crazy by now. I still wish, however, that I'd waited to get the lift as so many ladies here have decided to do. But what is done is done, so no need to dwell on that! But I do not appreciate my doctor's cavalier attitude and would like to have a frank discussion about that at some point (like he would allow that!). Good luck to everyone considering an explant..... the one piece of advice I can offer is "do not rush things!!" There are a few ladies that have breezed thru this and been back to normal after a few days, but they are in the minority. In case your doctor (like mine!) hasn't told you, the full recovery time will be 6 months to a year because there are so many variables and everyone is different. xo

It has been 4 weeks today and I'm still having a considerable amount of pain. I saw my PS a week ago about a persistent and very intense pain in and under my right breast, and a potential allergic reaction around both nipples to either stitches or a scar gel he recommended. On both counts he wasn't much help. He said the pain is from the last stitch that was tied off and has hardened, so massage it and it will eventually dissolve. The inflamed area that appears to be an allergic reaction....he says he's never seen this before and doesn't know what it is so doesn't know how to resolve it. He said I can try anti-inflammatories and pain medications and see if that helps. End of session and out the door he went. He's an arrogant ass. I sure wish someone would figure out how we can get a "do-over" on decisions we make in life.....if so I would go back, have the explant without the lift and definitely go to another doctor! I'm not sorry I had the explant but I am sorry about everything else.

He seems to just not care about his patient. He will answer questions if you know what to ask, but doesn't offer any information. He is very cocky and I feel like I'm bothering him. His office staff is young and with the exception of two girls, all are unfriendly. I chose him because he seemed knowledgeable and very sure of himself, giving me a false sense of security. He's really just arrogant.
