April 18th - TT and BA!!! Just in Time for Summer - Illinois

I'm a 35 year old mother of 3. The twins are 10 and the youngest is 4. My body is shot from pregnancy and nursing. I only went to see the PS for a BA, but he tugged at my loose skin and said he could do something about that too. My husband and I decided to go for it.

I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs. Ive decided on 425 and 475 ccs. I have some asymmetry. He is also going to reduce the size of my areola which will help give me a lift too.

I'm so scared that I think I have broken out in hives. I already have issues with anxiety so this is making it so much worse :( I just wish it was sooner so I didn't have to think about it so much. I've had 2 c-sections so im wondering if the TT pain is similar. I'm sure it's worse, but wondering if it's anything close. I've scheduled two weeks off from work. I hope that gives me plenty of time.

Just found out I can stay the night in the hospital and get the pain meds via IV. Anyone do this?

Is anyone approx my height and weight? I just want...

Is anyone approx my height and weight? I just want an idea of how many ccs they went with on their BA. I'm 5'2" and 130. Most of you peeps on here are skinny minnies!!! lol

It's two weeks away and I'm still covered in hives! I can't take Benadryl during the day because it knocks me out. This is just awful. I know I will be fine, but I'm so scared that the boobs will feel too heavy on my chest. I know I will get used to them so I'm worrying about nothing. I just wished the surgery was tomorrow so i could just get it done with! I decided on silicone. I changed my mind from saline. I guess the ccs will stay the same, just silicone now. Can anyone tell me any differences they have realized between saline and silicone? I hope two weeks off of work is enough....

Now my surgery time has been moved up from 9 am to 7:15 am. I have to be at hospital at 5:45. Now i'm stuck on what to do with the kids. I was going to be able to drop them off at school that morning, but now that's not going to work. Guess I'm going to have to find someone spend the night the night before and bring them to school in the morning. Since I'm spending the night in the hospital, what do I bring??? Toothbrush and toothpaste and I guess clothes to wear home? I probably won't shower there so i don't need any toiletries. Now I'm having second thoughts on the tummy tuck. I need lipo really bad too because I have saddle bags and horrible cellulite on my front and back thighs and my giggly butt. What's more important? A flat tummy or no more unsightly cellulite. Can lipo get rid of cellulite? Just last minute jitters I think. 5 days and 15 more hours!!!!

Just got done with my preop appointment. Since...

Just got done with my preop appointment. Since i'm doing silicone, the ones we are using only come in 400 and 450 ccs. Since my boobs are "a little off" im doing 400 in the right and 450 in the left. I hope to get a full D cup with that. I have to be at hospital now at 6:45 am on Monday. I took tomorrow off from work to get last minute things done. This is a silly question, but surgery is on Monday, do you think I will be up for Easter mass on Sunday???

Heading to hospital at 645 tomorrow morning. Kinda...

Heading to hospital at 645 tomorrow morning. Kinda not too nervous, but that may be the xanax. I hope I have everything I need. The doctor is giving me a bra to wear home, but should I have bought another one? What kind do I get or should have gotten. Got my vicodin and antibiotics and colace. Still not sure what to bring to hospital. I guess just a change of clothes and a toothbrush. No contact lenses, guess I'll just wear my glasses. I am doing 400 and 450 ccs silicone. i hope they look symmetrical. I'm gonna try to snap some pics tomorrow. I'll stay overnight in hospital and come home sometime on Tuesday. My girls want to come up and visit me when they get out of school tomorrow, but i don't know what kind of shape i will be in. Well, i hope to get some sleep and waiting for the xanax to kick in.

So i checked in at 645 and went into surgery at 9....

So i checked in at 645 and went into surgery at 9. Next thing i remember was waking up at 3. Since I was staying the night, I remember them wheeling me to my room. Apparently, no one knew I was supposed to get a pain pump so I sat in my room for 2 hours without any meds. Needless to say, I was pissed off! I was in so much pain. Once the pain pump was started it took me about an hour to get comfortable. About 7 pm i ordered some mashed potatoes and green beans. The worst part was getting up every hour to go pee. The IVs they were pumping into me were making me go soooo much. Fortunately, I had no problem peeing. My bladder was still a little off from the anesthesia so I felt like I had to pee when I really only could go a little. Thank God for my hubby who didn't sleep all night because he was up with me taking me to the bathroom. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep, but at least I was getting morphine every 10 minutes :) The next morning was fine. I was not hungry at all, but I could tell I was getting an upset tummy from all the meds and no food so I tried to eat some crackers. It was impossible to eat crackers because my mouth was sooooo dry. I'd take a bite and then take a drink of water to make it go down. I was released from hospital around 315 pm. I was walking pretty well and getting along just fine. I got home and got into my recliner. My tummy still hurt so I tried eating some toast, but my mouth was sooooo dry that it was almost impossible. So I just drank a lot of water. My husband went and picked up our girls and got home about 6. He brought me a sandwich from Subway. I think I was hydrated better because i was actually able to eat half of the sandwich. Sleeping last night was ok. Woke up a couple times to take meds. Got up at 630 to help my husband get the girls ready for school. I drank a couple cups of coffee, took all my meds and sipping on water while I'm in my recliner watching tv. I get up just fine to go pee and I'm doing very well! My boobs are really binded down. I hope they are as big as I want. 400 and 450 silicone above the muscle. I thought they were going behind the muscle but because of the shape of my boobs before hand, they went over the muscle. Anyone else go over the muscle??? Did anyone else's boobs look small because they were all binded down??? I really want a D/DD!!! Ok, well guess I'm gonna sit in my recliner all day. I have great energy and want to do something!!!! I go back to Doctor on thursday so I get to see what he did! So far it's been a great and easy experience!!!! However, this is only the first day out...lol.

so im 3 days post op and i feel fantastic! Went to the PS today and he removed my drains and all my dressings and covered incisions with steri strips. I go back in a week. He was thrilled with results, as was I. I went to the store to get some more sports bras. I bought a 34D and it fits perfect. I wouldn't have minded a little bigger, but I do like what I have. Will they get bigger or smaller? I went with my husband pick up the kids from school, went to the mall to get new bras and was picking up around the house. I had to make myself get into my recliner because I don't want to over do it. I've been drinking water all day b/c I heard someone say it might help with the swelling. My belly is still very swollen. I wonder what the final result will look like. I'll try to post pics soon!

Day 5 Postop and everything is going perfectly!!!...

Day 5 Postop and everything is going perfectly!!! Last night we went to my sister in laws for dinner and had a great time. I slept in my bed for the first time and was sore when I woke up this morning. I think it's because when I was in my recliner, I would take a pain pill around 3 in the morning, but i slept all through the night. I took a pain pill when I woke up in the morning and I feel great. I even cleaned and vacuumed my house yesterday. I'm afraid I am going to do too much so I'm going to take it easy today and just color easter eggs with my 3 girls :) I have a question about what bras to wear. I have the surgical bra I got from my PS but can I wear another type of bra? I forgot to ask my PS. If anything, I'll call on Monday. I bought a sports bra (34D) and it is filled out great!!!! but it fastens in back and has soft cups in it. Is that ok or should I just wear the surgical bra? I love my boobs. I keep playing with them! lol Belly is still swollen, but I know that's going to take awhile to go down. I can't help but look in the mirror and love my tummy and boobs, but I cannot stand my legs! I wish I would have lipoed them when I had the chance. There is so much cellulite on them and i have saddle bags!! I hate that I pic myself apart. Wish I could just be happy for what looks good. I'll just have to work on those legs when I start feeling better!

It's been 3 1/2 weeks and I love my new boobies and my belly! Wish I really would have opted for the lipo b/c I have extra fat in my flanks and thighs I want to get rid of :( Oh well, nothing exercise and eating right can't help! I'm so lucky that I felt this was so easy for me. Hardly never in pain except an aching back from walking hunched over. I've been off pain meds for about 2 weeks now. I'm using mederma on my scars and my belly button is almost healed. Doing the exercises for my implants. My doctor is as thrilled with my results as I am and he has me on his website as "Patient of the Month"!!! I'm Ms. May...hahaha. Really just need to start working out...I would love to drop 15 pounds :(

Hey there, I'm in illinois too and was wondering if you could tell me where at ( the doctor) in illinois you had this done? I am a 34 year old mother of 4 who is badly wanting this MM done! I am trying to convince my fiance that it will help my slef esteem EXTREMELY! He thinks its a mental issue but i know the mental issue is because of how i look physically. I got turned down for financing because of my credit and I really need him to be on board with me so we can use his credit. I looked into Dr. Koo, she is in St. Louis. Your photos look good and I wanna make sure I dont leave the hospital looking worse than when i went in!! Any info on docs you have I would appreciate. Still real new to all this. :)

I got this done in Springfield IL and my doctor was Dr. Robert Russell. He's been a plastic surgeon for over 20 years. I feel sooooo great after I got this done and I think any woman, if able to, should get this done! Dr. Russell uses Care Credit. Theres a website and you can apply online for it. Good luck!!!!

Did you have a benelli lift? How did you like it?
  • Reply
What's a beneli lift??? I guess I didn't have that then. Lol.
  • Reply
Haha, it's also called a donut lift. It's where the scar is only around the areola (no vertical scar).
  • Reply
Actually no lift was really necessary. They removed some of my areola which kinda lifted my breast and then placed the implant over muscle which helped lift too.

Yes, I think that is what a benelli is. How do you like the results? I might have to do that as a revision surgery.

it's great to hear you are doing great. Thanks for the updates!! Also, glad to hear your drains came out so quickly. Ive seen so many people have to wait atleast a week to get them out. Even my PS said that it will most likely be a week. Can't wait to see after pics. Kudos to you that everything is going smoothly :)

I figured it would be a lot longer for the drains too but I was only draining about 20ccs every 24 hours!

good luck today!...I'm exactly one weeek today and I wouldn't be able to go to mass. Not because of any pain but because ot the drain and walking hunched over..just relax and enjoy a quiet Easter Sunday..Let us know how you do

I am exactly 6 days Post op (like you will be on that Sunday) and I would be able to go to do something like Mass today. I have been out and about several times since surgery. I don't, however, have any drains. I had the progressive suture technique. I don't know if that will make a difference. Good luck with your surgery.

I do not think you will be up for mass....but you never know. I wouldn't really want people to see me hunched over walking with drains coming out of me. Plus, you will get tired easily and swollen. Take it easy to have the best recovery. Also, I can't imagine you would be comfortable sitting in the chairs/benches at church for that long.

Oops sbk.... Im sorry!

spk I wanted silicone but my PS said bc of my asymmetry I'd be better with the saline bc she could play with the cc amount till she made them even. Thats the only reason I had to go with saline. Silicone felt nicer when I was looking at the samples but I think they both look nice either way when all is said and done :) your going to be so happy with your MM!

i went silicone...feel more natural and real and you dont get the as much wrinkling on the sides like saline. but i agree with bridg, either will be fine...

I just wanted a full C so I had some volume already so I went with 290. Same with Redhead94, I did not want that kind of attention and I work in a male dominated environment. Plus, I want to be able to go to the beach with my family and wear a bikini and feel comfortable, not worried about my ta-ta's hanging out. You also have to remember that with your small frame, if you get big breasts, you'll have difficulty buying dresses and shirts that fit - you'll have to do a lot of altering. Just some food for thought.
