I am very hesitant to post but I have enjoyed reading the reviews of others and hope that someone will read this review and it will help them. I lost 100lbs about 10 years ago through exercise and eating right. I have wanted this surgery since then but have not been in a space that I could afford it. Well i finished grad school in 2010 and have been working a full time job since. I consulted with a PS in Dec of 2012 and had a pretty bad experience so i put the surgery off choosing instead to spend money on a personal trainer who really helped a lot but of course no amount of exercise can cure this loose skin.
I found Dr. Bidros through a friend and when I saw him in office I knew it was right. He was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable. He answered my questions willingly and his staff was super friendly. My surgery is about 8 days away and I am VERY excited but also scared. There is a great amount of grieving I am doing in regards to my body as it is. This body that I have disliked for so long I am now kinda sad to see it go. Not sad enough to cancel the operation though :)

Welcome to the community tony9978.   Only a few more days and you will have the "New You".  This is a very emotional process but one worth taking.

I am happy to hear that you are finally able to so this for yourself.  Looking forward to reading about your journey.   Make sure to take the before and after pictures!

So less than 36 hours away from the big event! I have the scripts filled, bandages bought, support people set up and I am ready to go. I have really been obsessing about the surgery, worrying about what will happen and how much it will hurt, etc. Its becoming difficult to sleep because i am so ready for this to be over! I will work to update this posting after the surgery and am excited to post after pictures.

I am 48 hours post-op and feeling okay. The drains are pretty gross but not horrible. Yesterday at my follow up they had to put a foley catheder in because I couldn't pee. Ill probably be wearing it until Friday. I will get some pics up ASAP bu trust me you do t want to see anything right now. Also, after surgery Tuesday when I was home an tried gettin to the restroom I fainted on the way back. My mom caught most of my fall but I still landed on the ground. Luckily I didn't ruin anything during the fall. Sleeping hasn't been too bad thanks to the Xanax prescription.

u should try sleep with Lots of pillows in front and a pillow under the knees will help you fall asleep, I slept like that in the first 10 days
