6-weeks post laser lipo outer thights

As far as recovery...

PROS: There's no pain. I never had any pain from this at all, and I didn't take any meds. The feeling is just starting to return to the skin, so that's probably why.

Small improvement, but it did what I was hoping.

CONS: This procedure is not pretty to look at because there's lots of bruising, and it takes weeks for it to resolve.
The puncture spots are still red, but they've never been infected or had any issues. They're small, about the size of a pimple, but they're located at the same location on either size, so it's obvious that it's not natural, so summer isn't the best time to have this done.

Photos

Here are the photos from day 1 and I included a close up of today, day 2. The bruising isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but the fluid is still slowly leaking and there's swelling. The pain started today about 24 hours post-op. Not bad. Taking Tylenol.

I lost 40 pounds about 8 years ago and weigh about 95 lbs now. I told myself that if I kept it off, I would reward myself, though at the time I didn't know what that would be. I've had such a hard time sculpting my outer thighs, although the rest of my body is firm and I am extremely happy (though I've done lots of weight lifting besides the weight loss).
I decided to do something about my outer thighs to make my transition complete, although the weight has been gone for years now.
Had cool sculpting and regular lipo consults, but neither seemed right, though the price for both was less than the laser lipo (I was able to get $1000 off by asking for it on the laser lipo, so don't be afraid to ask).
I'll upload pix later tonight, since today is day 1. BTW: I didn't take before pictures but the swelling today is probably indicative of before.
PREPARATION: no wine, vitamins, salt or sweets for 1-2 weeks prior; I also am carb- and wheat-free; dr also suggested 1000mg vit C, 50mg zinc, and 500mg bromelain daily, and I acquiesced.
Also had to get blood work to confirm no drugs or other problems. My co-pay was $50 for that.
Wore old black yoga pants that wouldn't show blood if leaked on. No food the morning of, but I think that's for the patients who will take some pain meds, which I did not. I refused the Valium, and they had no problem with that. I had breakfast and arrived at 9am. Facility is about 15 miles from my house. They wanted someone to drive me, but I declined since I refused Valium. Not a problem.
MISC: The underwear used are ridiculously revealing; they have no elastic at all, so leave your modesty at home!
PROCEDURE: I have a high tolerance for pain, so I knew I didn't need it.Dr. marks areas, go to "OR" and cleaned with iodine solution; quick local anes to allow the very thin, long needles (maybe ultra small cannulas) that inject a saline solution with anes. This doesn't take long.
Inserts laser device, which also looks like long, thin cannula. Moves it gently around area to cause fat cells to burst. I didn't feel anything except a little pressure. It's messy though because the saline solution expands the skin. This all takes about 45 minutes so far. Then I turn over and he does the other side.
I was out by 12:40pm.
I am wearing a girdle-like garment with gauze-type pads on both outer thighs because the fluid/zapped fat is oozing out. No, it's not gross, just a light pink watery fluid that I should expect to continue through tomorrow.
It's about 5 hours since I left, and I have no pain. The areas are still mostly numb though. They did not offer any post-procedure meds, and I'm fine with that. I have stuff anyway if I need it. I'll take pix the next time I pull off this girdle. It's a pain: has zippers on both sides and latches.
