22 Days After Procedure

Still having some numbness in lower belly and deep itching. Feels like deep, internal bruising. I make it a point to massage the area to try to bring back the feeling. Seems to be beneficial. You are not really given much in the way of after-instructions except to come back and pay more money to do it all over again. My color has returned to normal except for a spot on my back. Results? Who cares at this point. I'm just praying that I have not done any permanent damage to my body by taking this foolish chance with coolsculpting. People, I cannot stress enough that the downside to this procedure is not something you want to risk having to go through for the possiblity of losing a bit of body fat. Still looking forward to the day when all the ill effects of coolsculpting have left my body and I can put this nightmare behind me.

The Magic Number 13

Hallelujiah! The horrible stabbing pains finally went away completely on the 13th day following the procedure. That's 13 days people of being pretty much in constant pain and being absolutely miserable and losing out on 2 perfectly good weekends because I was in such bad shape. Still having a bit of swelling and tenderness but even that is started to subside. I'm just so relieved that the stabbing pains are gone. As far as results? I'm thinking that maybe I can see some improvement in the areas but after what I went through, that is secondary to just getting my life back on track for which I am extremely greatful for.

I work out and watch my calories but some stubborn...

I work out and watch my calories but some stubborn fat in my lower belly and back led me to CoolSculpting. Pure vanity. I allowed myself to be sucked in by the simply-stated procedure in the brochure and buzz words of "non-surgical, " "FDA Approved, " and "patients return to their normal routine." I signed the release form outlining the possible ill side effects that occur in a certain percentage of patients thinking that these things would never happen to me. I am now in my 7th day after having the procedure done and, unfortunately, have found myself in that certain percentage of patients who suffer mercilessly after the procedure. The pain began the moment they removed the machine and massaged down the frozen bulge of fat. At least the nurse warned me that the massage was going to hurt. She was not kidding. Three days after the procedure, as others have described, I began feeling like a bunch of little sharp knives were stabbing me deep in my stomach. I also came home from the procedure with deep red and black bruises on the spots where I had the procedure done. It looks like someone took a baseball bat to me and they are so bad, I don't expect them to disappear any time soon. One word I can use to honestly sum up my CoolSculpting experience-HORRIFIC. This will be my third day of taking Neurontin for the nerve pain. Can't say it helps much with the pain but at least for the last 2 nights I have been able to sleep more at night. To anyone thinking of having this done, think long and hard about the why's and how's and what if's. Yes, this is a non-surgical procedure but the possibility is real that, like me, you will be feeling as if you had had real surgery but without the benefit of anesthesia or pain meds. CoolSculpting is a messy (due to the gel pads they place on you to protect your skin - the gel runs all over you and your paper gown), uncomfortable (there is no way you can lay still comfortably for one hour with the machine clamped down on you and the huge pillow they place around the machine to keep it steady) and painful (the massaging down of the frozen fat) procedure. I hope eventually to be able to put all this behind me. I'm hopeful that when the pain and swelling finally subside, I will one day see some nice results. Whatever happens, I will never put my body through anything like this again for the sake of vanity. I hope this gives you all some food for thought.
