WORTH IT
Today is the beginning of my journey. I had my consultation and the wait begins. Hoping that insurance will cover my BR. I am 5'2, 48 years old and about 170. My breast are size 36 G/H. I have always had large breast and just tired of the size and weight and having constant headaches, neck and back pain.

Dear Had. It took about 3 months for me to get approval. Our stats are similar. And we are the same age. I am one week post op and it's a truly life changing experience. I am sore and still leaky, but I am so looking forward to living a much more active life than I had been previously. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way!

I have an appointment on the August 29, and my surgery is scheduled for September 4. I'm still waiting on insurance, when I called today they said I should know something by the end of the week. That was given to a nurse for review on Monday. I'm excited but scared.

I had a pre-op and per-registration this morning. I am scheduled to be at the hospital at 8:30 AM on Sept. 4. Doctor said surgery should take 2-3 hours. Was a little disappointed when he pointed out that I might not be able to have a C cup but he would do everything he can to get to a C. He was really pushing a D. Oh well, I was hoping for a C, but anything will be better that what I deal with on a daily basis. So now it is time, to start getting everything together and try and calm my nerves.

You are going to do great and be so happy you did this. I was an H-cup and wasn't able to hit that C-cup size, but I can tell you that even though I'm not as small as I had dreamt of being, I am still so much more comfortable, mobile, and happy than I was a year ago. Good luck and keep us posted!
