Breast Augmentation: Stories

My breasts have always been droopy. I'm 29 yrs old a small B cup. I want over the top sexy full round high profile breast Goal: DD silicone. I've considered the surgery for a year. I'm a little nervous because it's surgery but i'm excited for a new and improved me!

I'm hoping I can go as big as I like safely. Since i'm having a lift done as well..The Dr. said I may not be able to go that big right away. I hope to discuss it more at my pre op. It was suggested to me that a smaller implant would be better with the lift. I just don't want to feel disapointed with the size but I also want to be safe.

Went in for my pre-op today. Staff was lovely answered all my questions. They provided me with a gift bag which included a sports bra to be worn for 2 weeks, a free chemical peel service, scar gel, special soap to bathe with tonight and tomorrow morning, and a $50.00 gift card to use for whatever future service I choose. I brought some photo's in to show Dr. Ciaravino which I found to be very in showing him the look I want. His assistant Ashley made a few notes as instructed by the Dr. The good news is where I was originally told I would have 325 CC he said I could go 375CC safely and possibly 400 CC depending on if I have enough tissue. He is going to try it and if it won't fit he will use 375 CC. Little nervous but very excited at the prospect of being able to go a little bigger than I thought would be allowed. Check In tomorrow will be 5:30am..No food or drink for the rest of tonight. Bought lots of Magazines to keep busy as I may be at the surgical center for several hours before the actual surgery may begin. Also, have the company of my supportive boyfriend who will be by my side ( :

Today was surgery. I checked in at 5:30am. My doctor was able to fit the 400 CC Silicone implant. The size is PERFECT. I'm so happy with it.

After filling out all the paper work, I got changed and met with the doctor. I was worried about being cold in the surgical center but they had a lovely heated blanket system with a remote so I was very comfortable and warm. They started an IV and injected me with something to calm me (standard procedure). I did take a prescribed Valum the night before and it was instructed I could do so to help me sleep and stay calm..I did find it helpful. I hardly ever take drugs of any kind even for cramps or headaches in my normal life but I felt in this case it was very helpful. Last thing I remember is saying goodbye to my boyfriend. Next thing I knew I was being woken up and the surgery was over. I don't even remember entering the surgery room or the doctor. Upon waking up I felt totally fine..just groggy. Five minutes later severe pain and burning set in..I was giving pain medication through the IV..it took about 4 doses to get me feeling more comfortable. I was asked to eurinate to make sure I was able to..However, after drinking 5 bottles of water I was not able to eurinate. I tried so hard to but just couldn't. I was extreamly nautious and the pain was setting back in. I was feeling very overwhelmed. Thankfully I had my very supportive boyfriend right behind me. The cathader was no fun (first time for me) but it needed to be done. They said my case was uncommon and that most are able to eurinate with no problems. I was wheeled out in a wheel chair and sent home. Walking into the large hotel I was very nautious and threw up in the lobby..luckily the hospital gave me a bag to get sick in..which came in handy. I have been sleeping most of the day. I ate half a bowl of soup but not much of an appetite. Ice Chips are wonderful when you are nautious. I have taken all my meds including antibiotics, & pain med's..however I did not take the rectal suppository for nausea..Don't like the idea of putting anything in there..I'm hoping the nausea will go away on its own. However, it seems that one of the meds causes nausea as a side effect so...we'll see. Getting plenty of rest..I find that I can't move too much or too fast because of the nausa. My chest is very very soar but managable. I have to say I think the lift and breast augmentation is far more invasive and complex than a standard augementation and therefor more painful. Tomorrow is my post op with Dr. Ciaravino, he will check on me and then I fly home Saturday night. I cannot imagine getting on a plane today and am really glad I allowed an extra 2 days before going home.

Okay, today I went in for my post op. They said everything looked great. No bruising and no bleeding. I was surprised to learn that not much of a lift was done..just the nipple was repositioned and the I have 400 CC's. Good news is no vertical scar, breasts still appear elevated because of the repositioned nipple..looks very good considering it's been a day since surgery. Will post pictures when I get back home. Of course my breasts feel very high..almost back in my arm pits but he really did a beautiful job and i'm very happy with them. I know they will look better as time goes on and they heal and drop etc. I really think this is the perfect size and my body looks so much more propotional. My Dr. said in the future there could be room to go up a tiny but more but not much..75-100 CC's but I think i'll stick with this size. I really feel its just right for me. Just really looking forward to losing the pain at this point. The girls in the office did tell me the first few days are the toughest. Surgery is definitly no small thing. It's painful. I'm hoping the hardest days will be over soon. For those of you wondering about cost since a lift was not done I was still charged for the masteoplexy because apparently the nipple repositioning is basically considered under the lift category...I'm thinking because the implant was bigger that filled out the extra skin I had. I'll post pics soon.

Got back to South Padre tonight..flying was okay..felt very tired. A little nausea is setting back in..Time to rest again. Here's some pictures we took yesterday. I will post more soon xo

I wish he personally came to see me after the surgery.

He had his staff do my post op check up. I would strongly have preferred he do his own follow up with me. My Post op was the day after because I was flying out the day after..I believe he was in surgery that day.

Also, we discussed a lift as plan of action he moved the nipple but no lift..I never recieved an explanation of this but I believe he may have passed up the lift to accomodate a bigger implant.

I am very happy with my new breasts, he did a beautiful job, staff was very supportive and kind.

Hi all, it's been a week since surgery. Few things I want to mention..

Backpain, I forgot to mention how soar my back has been after surgery..I thought maybe it was from the trauma to my body..but I'm really hoping that its not the weight of the implant. The imlplants do not seem heavy to me but i'm not sure whats caused the back pain. It has definitly gotten better but its still there.

Secondly, I think I may now be fighting a yeast infection down there? I'm wondering if it was caused by the antibiotics. I've also been under a LOT of stress in my love life this week..break up to be honest. So, I'm sure that didn't help matters.

Finally got measured! Proudly, a 34 DD at Victoria's Secret. YES!! :)

Starting to drop a bit, been applying scar fade gel..I get little shooting pain here and there but feeling and looking better.

It's been a little over a month and a half..today I experienced some irritation that caused me to remove my bra at work..it burns in one small area around the areola. Called the dr.'s office and was told this is normal. Tonight I'm sleeping topless because it actually feels better with nothing against the skin. Everything seemed to be healing i'm not sure why this sudden irritation. Has anyone experienced this? : /

It's been about 4 months..breast are still sensitive. I am finally getting some feeling back in my left nipple..thank god..I was scared it wasn't coming back ever. I have some shooting pains in the breast here and there..nothing too bad or too frequent. I'm happy with the size and am glad I went as big as they would let me. When I get them done again at some point I will probably increase another 200 CC'S.

Feeling good. Not liking the scar on left. Hoping it might look better over time. No problems otherwise. Feeling in left nipple is coming back.
