I Am About Two Weeks Away from my BBL! - Houston, TX

So im enjoying my last day sittin on my butt. lol My surgery is tomorrow at 7am but i gotta be there by 5..yay. I was able to get all my prescriptions filled as generic versions. There are 7 total but 3 are over the counter.. like advil, iron, and colace. The total amount for all came to about $40. I cant wait!! Im excited but also worried about how much pain I'll be in that first day. I have a follow up appt with dr. cortes on the 10th to get the drainage removed. So i booked a hotel for 8 days thats not far from the hospital. I guess theres not much else to say. Ill try to update you on my condition tomorrow but dont think ill be up to doing it! Day 2 will probably be better ;)

Thanks everyone for your kind words!! So I went in for my preop with Dr. Cortes a week early to check if I had gained too much weight. He took one sec to look at me and said I was fine. So theres that. I took my before pics and the nurse proceeded to give me a list of things to do and prescriptions I needed to fill!!! There are about 6 different medications I need to fill and none are covered by the money ive already spent on the procedure. So I will be going to walmart tomorrow to let everyone know exactly how much it costs to get these pills. What baffles me is that I was initially supposed to have my preop the day before my surgery. So I would have had to fill all 6 prescriptions the night before my surgery (which I was unaware would come out of my pocket). Plus the nurse says I have to take two of them 2 days before the surgery. So make sure you talk about your medications with them and when would be best to schedule the preop with Dr. Cortes so that you can have time to get and take your medications when needed. ALSO, Dr. Cortes said that he would do lipo everywhere but if for some reason he gets enough fat from my thighs back and stomach.. he wouldn't do my arms!! (there is a maximum amount of fat he can harvest from the body before it becomes dangerous). I really hope he gets my arms. They are horribly big and will look odd if everything else is lipo'ed. Im exercising to loose a little more weight b/c I want a higher chance for him to get my arms. That's all the info I have for now.. the appt was about 10 mins long but I waited 3 hours to be seen so be prepared to wait! Phones Charged!!

I am about two weeks away from my BBL. Ive actually had to reschedule twice so this procedure is long over due. Im hispanic, 5'2 and was initally 160lbs when i first went in to see Dr. Cortes in Houston TX. (Which I chose btw after MUCH research) He seemed to have no complaints, lots of before and after pics, and he is a board certified plastic surgeon which is VERY important when choosing a PS. During the consultation he told me i could gain 10+ more lbs but i think thats b/c im big boned or have a lot of muscle. Anyway im 185 lbs now and worried that ive gained too much. Dr. Cortes wont do the procedure if you have too much viseral fat (fat that surrounds your organs). So i called to schedule an appt before the preop. Just incase i need to loose 5lbs before the surgery date. The total cost of the procedure was $9600, which includes the overnight stay in the hospital, anesthesia, and lipo throughout (not divided into seperate costs like flanks and thighs) Right now I am just following his preop intructions like taking multivitamins and using lever2000 soap. Im wondering how my stomach will turn out because its a mess due to having a nearly 10lb baby five years ago! I am leaving some before pics. Ill be back in a week!
