Bad Timing for me!!!!

$9,483
1st it was not I who post the comments!! It was my husband, when he 1st got wind of what happen he started snooping and found RS page and wrote what he was feeling at the time. Were not blaming nobody, but you still have the emotions and they going to come out along with the pain. If Dr. Cortez would have read what he post after that 1st post he would have seen he said ( By All means necessary ) Dr. Cortez is a superb P.S. it "s just got to be a better way to protect the patients at a high cost of ( Acts of God ) His intent was not bash any P.S. but he's a man and his job is to protect to me and his anger got and the way of his judgment. We send our greatest apologize to the #Cortez Team and that they continue to Bless Heart!!!!

Hope your feeling better
Hi, I just read ur profile and I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope that you are doing well and keep us posted on ur recovery and healing! God bless you!
My prayers are with you. As for Dr. Cortes, I appreciate his comment at the least. Money hungry doctors will ignore your calls, emails etc as I have read. I think that says something dearing about his prospective of his patients and philosphy In most cases in life outside of RS policies backfire but you are in my heart and prayers.
I truly appreciate that Dr Cortes clarifies publicly what happened.i m so sorry for our sister but at least we can all see that Dr Cortes is a great doctor and person. He did not ignore his patients and really show compassion and care.we appreciate it.
Hi, I just read your profile.. Sorry that you had to go through that.. I am praying that you heal quickly. How are you feeling these days??

Please don't leave!!! We're to support each other to make the best decisions. I would like to know more. U said Dr cortes had to cut out the fat...so does that mean thereis no more augmentation and u left with no results?! Im sorry this crazy to me. Is there anything he could have done to prevent it?

Yes he will fix it! discounted rate!
To have a discussion, instead of speculation, in regard to unfounded comments, everybody needs to hear the second side of the story and the facts. TopCat underwent a successful BBL but, approximately 10 – 14 days after the surgery, she developed an infection on her left hip. Let me explain the following comment: “Got an infection, The whole thing was handled real bad! So Dr. Cortez had to reverse/ cut all the fat out of my Butt. Now I'm left with scar all over my body plus a hole the size of a golf ball and out of 10K i'm leaving RS do to the fact it's to hard for me to continue believing you pay up front, so that means if you don't get the result you want, YOU ARE SREWED!!! Good Luck to all my BBL sista but keep in mind it's all a gamble!! “ One important fact that this patient failed to mention is that I called her 4–5 days before she developed the infection on a Saturday and prescribed her clindamycin for prophylaxis because she thought she was having a fever but there were no signs of infection nor symptoms. I followed her very closely and, when she called us on Tuesday and sent us a picture of the area, I immediately told her to come to the hospital where she was placed on IV antibiotics and then I discharged her when there was no fever and she was feeling better. I also made an incision to drain the infection. Ten days later she called and said that she was not feeling well. That is when I again admitted her to the hospital and scheduled for a drainage. I explained her everything that was occurring and the steps to be taken to manage the problem. And it happened the way I anticipated. Let me remind her that that the day she was waiting in the ER and came to the reception area, I walked her myself to admit her directly to the hospital so she did not even have to wait. The nurses in the OR were wonderful and they took good care of her in the best way they could. I visited her twice a day while at the hospital and saw her Saturday and Sunday. As a matter of fact, I cancelled my trip to Las Vegas to take care of her in case she had a problem I would be there for her. The notion that I made a mistake is completely false. She was receiving superb care and I was constantly in communication with the nurses that are currently taking care of my patients. I understand that her husband missed work but I even told him to drop you at the hospital so he could go back to work and we would take her of the situation. Even if she would have been discharged from the hospital, my wife was going to take her to the hotel and my staff and me would visit her on a daily basis. I am not sure why she says there was a mistake or that I have a money-making business. The reason why we have hundreds of satisfied customers is that I always concentrate on patient care and on getting the best surgical results possible and money is not my priority. This philosophy keeps me focused on what is really important: my patients. Whenever there is a surgery, there are risks. She signed a consent for the procedure and was well educated about the risks and benefits. In addition, she signed a consent about the possible complications and revision. ALL of this is not new and we will be more than glad to offer her a copy, if requested, that states that one of the risks is to develop an infection after surgery. If you were in disagreement on the revision consent and the possible need for additional surgeries, I would not have performed any surgery to a patient because risks are always a possibility. I disagree with the comment that a surgery is a gamble because she was informed about everything before the surgery and any service needs to be paid beforehand. The fact that she got an infection 10 -14 after surgery with an uncommon bacteria (I’ve never seen it) while you were on antibiotics prove the fact that there are things beyond human control and it is God’s will. The fact that the buttock gets hard is not by itself a sign of infection. Every patient after surgery will have a hard buttock. I do everything that I can to prevent infections in all of my BBL patients as follows: 1. Preoperative antibiotics iv with gentamcycin, unasyn, and ancef 2. The fat is irrigated with the same antibiotics prior to injection. 3. 24 hr of IV antibiotics while at the hospital 4. 7 days of postoperative Bactrim 5. Betadine irrigation of the injection cannulas prior to injection 6. In her case, clindamycin 4 days before you got the infection To all of those that are following, people need to understand that, in any profession, there are always risks involved and surgery is not an exception. One way to protect the patients is that we offer an insurance that covers complications during the first 30 days after surgery. I am sure that she is glad to have been covered. To those who are wondering about the second surgery, there will be a cost incurred at a discounted rate. This is also explained prior to surgery and every patient signs this agreement. Again, if they don’t want to sign, then, I won’t be able to do the procedure because there is always a possibility of risk. My job is to take care of every patient and that is what I will continue doing. Have I expressed any empathy like MzPhatbooty suggested? Well, I hope that this response answers her questions.

OMG TopCat!!!!! I'm really sorry to hear this news. I was wondering how you were getting along. In a million years and my wildest dreams could i have never imagined this had occured. I'm going to keep you in my prayers that you will have a God speed recovery. Is your release date even in sight? Thank you for sharing your story. I can only imagine how painful this must be for you psychologically. God bless you and I'm claiming healing for you. If you want to get ANYTHING off your chest, you can always send me a private message.
Thank you sister for asking me to read her story.that makes me feel less angry and sad.her case is worse than mine.i only lose money.its nothing compare to health.i m so sorry for her....I will pray for her . God bless you . You are a wonderful person.
BTW, Thanks for keeping it real. I appreciate your honesty. Sending prayers for healing.
Girl I hope you will get better real soon. You are right, we all are taking risk when doing these type of procedures. We all have to prepared ourselves for the best and worst that comes with it. The more and more I read these stories I be ready to say the hell with a fat azz, just give me a flat tummy and I'm good!! I'm praying for myself and all the ladies that we get what we want with no complications.
I am starting to read a negative review everyday :( I really appreciate how they are not just quitting about updating their blog and giving it to us raw. it's really serious out there. topcat we are all here and will be your mental support all the way. you will come out of this on top...releasing prosperity in your life girl
AMEN my sistah.
Yes. She is very courageous. So many of our sistahs fall into a deep state of depression and go underground. I thank God for the spirit of boldness for the victims to come forth and speak on it because this is very REAL. A lot of ladies here don't have family to support them as it is when it comes to receiving p/s, less alone when something goes wrong... The first thing to fly out of their mouths is, "I TOLD YOU SO!" Ain't nobody got time to be hearing that [RS bleep]! Matter of fact that's the very last thing they are trying to hear. This is why so many of or sistahs suffer in the dark in silence. I hate that about us as a race of people. The fact that we don't undergird one another and encourage, support and lift up one another. I'm glad her husband is in her corner. He truly knows all she is experiencing and has stood by her side. Thank God for good husbands!
OMG hope all works out. Sry to hear I've been in hospital for a month now! Will dr Cortes give u a full revision bbl once you've recovered free of charge or discounted rate? You'll be fine praying 4 you..
discounted rate!!
WTF:-0???? I presume the fee for the anesthesiologist? Has he expressed any empathy? What exactly is he saying if anything?
