Day 6

$9,000
Things are taking to take shape...very please with results, finally had a BM after taking Magnesium Citrate...one full bottle 8 oz and that did the trick. Can wait to be able to exercise. Had tube removed yesterday and Dr. Cortez didn't think my swelling had gone down enough. So told me he wanted me to switch girdles next week. I'm truly happy with the new results....Dr. Cortez is amazing....still have significant bruising. Also, can I start dieting now--not majorly but go back to a 1200 - 900 calories diet with 30 minute cardio by next week. I feel like I'm not getting enough exercise and that is what is causing me to bloat...any suggestions?

My husband and I went to my consult. I have to say Dr. Cortez was so up front and honest, and made both my husband and I feel very comfortable. His staff is so great as well. He answered our questions, and I felt very comfortable with him. I had my breasts done in 2001 and I with Dr. Caravino--who is a MASTER at breast implants, no bruising or drains, he is the best with breasts, however, don't expect the same nurturing caring approach that Dr. Cortez provides. I know Dr. Cortez has A LOT of patients, you can tell by the number of patients lined up in his office, albeit, the number of patients, he really tried to take his time with you, and I imagine, after reading the reviews, he does this with everyone. You don't feel like a number, as with Dr. Caravino, he makes you feel like a woman--and hopefully will help me look like the curvy dream I've always wanted to be. Any additional tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks for everyone's posts. It truly helped me in making the right decision as I was about to fly to the Dominican Republic to a wonderful doctor I saw online. No I saw in the United States understands the aesthetics of the female form, but Dr. Cortez "get's it". Now hopefully, I will get it! LOL :-) Talk to you guys soon....

oh, I forgot to add. Okay, for those people doing out of town visits to Dr. Cortez, PLEASE have plenty of family with you. I can't imagine having had gone through this alone. The garments (for me anyway) were absolutely killer to take on an off, and without some there to make certain you are not accidently pulling on drains etc, it is essential to have someone there with you. Going back to work or having to drive 4 hours back home after only being there for a week a two is just not enough time. Even getting back to work. To think I was going to do this in April while working OMG!!! This is a MAJOR SURGERY. I was whining from the Dr.'s office just sitting facedown in the passenger seat getting back to our house. The anestiaologic was telling me that some ladies were coming from TN and were going to drive back after a week---no way. I'm really considering opening my home to women who need a place to stay over the summer and someone to take care of them and drive them to the doctor. I might talk to Dr. Cortez about setting something up...but plllleeeeaasssseee ladies allow yourself at least two full weeks time to heal with someone else doing the driving--in a van or RV somewhere you can make a bed in the back and stretch completely out--the backseat--done and tried--is horrible...well that's it to post today...
I live 3 hrs from the hosp. My husband will be with me the whole time. We are planning on staying at a hotel for 5 pays post op. Then going home, I'll be riding laying face down in the back of our SUV. I'm worried about if that's enough time, but we do need to get home asap (we are 4 kids at home)
Not sure if you had your surgery yet...but please allow for more time...it just unbearable--it may not be for you, but it was grueling. No, perhaps because I had a lot of fat removed from my stomach...but it is so uncomfortable. My SUV has a tilt when you lie down and now way to put the hard seat belts away. So your SUV my be different. I wouldn't recommend driving like that after a week.
Any updated photos yet?
I will post them soon--promise!
How are your results? Are you happy? Do you have any advice for someone about to have surgery?
I LOVE my buttocks. What I'm not happy with is this FOLD I have in my area where he lipoed (stomach). Now mind you, I had NO butt! And a HUGE gut. He says it's hanging skin--but why is there a fold on one side and not the other. I read online that the garments you wear cause the folds, because when you sit, it "cuts" into the skin and can leave permanent "folds". I've also read that it can take up to a year before all of the "hardness" and "lumpies" go away. So, I don't want to prematurely say anything about the fold. I do love that I don't have a HUGE lopping over the panty line belly now. That is all gone--just the ugly fold. I wished I had been given some scar ointment like I received from my surgeon when I received my implants. I know they will heal in time, but they aren't too bad--definitely wouldn't be able to wear a bikini without it being noticed. There are other surgeons who inject from the "crack" of your buttocks so you don't notice it as much--but hey, maybe their augmentations don't last as long! I will send some more pictures. But everyone who knows me before the surgery rants on about how GREAT my waist and butt look. I feel beautiful for sure---and would do it all over again. I didn't lose much volume over the three months at all, like some people have stated. If the wrinkle doesn't go away, I'm going to sign up for a tummy tuck! ;-)
Im having sx with Dr.Cortes October 15. I hope and pray he gives me tge booty of my dreams. I want a sexy phat butt with wide hips and a tiny waist. Im sure he can do that for me cause im only 5'2" and weigh about 143lbs. I am also getting butt implants since I have trouble gaining weight.

Home now!

im trying to the best I can but my fingers are still swollen. Also va-jay looks like Mike Tyson's boxing glove.. My thoughts are foggy and my vision seems to be a little blurry. First, the next day, I had to get into the shower....I was horrified, but I expected that. Okay pain on a scale of one to 10 and 1 being lowest, I would say my pain isn't all that bad. I give myself between a six and seven---it's just very uncomfortable. I'm sorry if this doesn't make since, I mind feels really cloud and lightheaded. Did anyone have va-jay problems.? 'What did you guys do? I cut the crotch area but still that doesn't seem help...I believe the fluids are moving down. My drain never seems have any fluids--a wee bi this morning.
By the way I can't taste anything, forcing myself. Haven't had a bpel movement since Mondy morning. I'm taking laxatives but nohting is working....anyone else with this problem? Well I posted a pic of myself. soory no befores but I wish as a copy from Dr. Cortez. Well his staff and hopital staff are super nice. I heard doctor cortez talking about the number of out-of-state or country patients that he come to him for surgery. If possible give your self @ least 2 weeks before returning home. This is nothing you can do your own, you WILL need assistance.. Taking the garment off and on is just brutal. I still think mine are too tight. My aND I both broke a sweat putting the garments back. I VOWED to never take them off again...
