“Full MM - TT BA Lipo to Hips Flanks Thighs - Houston, TX”
Spent: $16,000 in Houston TX
I have the same reasons many do here... 2 children both born over 9 lbs each. I am 5'3 and this was a huge strain on me. I love them to death but because they were so large, C-section was my best option. fast forward through bad eating and some "mommy tired" i let myself slowly go until one day, I weighed as much as I did when I was pregnant. So to reward myself when i lose the other half of my 40lb goal (I am halfway now) I will have this done.
My stomach was stretched as you can imagine.... and what is left is floppy and ugly. As I lose weight the "flop" as I call it, over the csection scar gets worse.
I am a little scared and nervous. This is a huge undertaking and I usually dont do much for me. As many here.
I am ok with the recovery I think as I have an absurd tolerance for pain ( I say that now and tempt fate) but just the fear of what will I look like and will it help?
I have already picked the day and scheduled the required mammogram (breast cancer in the family)

Ok Mammogram done and all clear ( whew) but now I will have to reset my date. I started a new job and will have to get some Vaca time. I am attending an information seminar on Thursday at the PS office and will reschedule then. I refuse to go past April or I will lose my nerve or the will to fork over this type of cash.
I already cancelled the tubal and will have to reschedule that as well. no big deal on that though. My ob only needs about 2 weeks notice.
I am still working up the nerve to post the before photos. Hopefully they will change anyway as I lose the rest of this pesky weight.

ok thats it...... date set vacation approved and tubal scheduled. May 10 it is!

Ok deposit paid..... no going back now. I keep asking DH how he feels about all this and he says.... if it will make you feel better. Not sure what kind of answer that is.
Tubal scheduled for March 30.
Pre op for April 25
Wow... still a bit surreal but I know time will fly.

ok... tubal done... not too bad really. Just wish i could remember what goofy things I said after i sort of woke up. Only a small bruise and nothing pain wise. I was cleaning the pond on Sunday 2 days later. taking it easy doesnt come easy for me. I think that will most likely be the biggest challenge i have after the big surgery.
I find myself working on small details to keep my mind off of the main topic. Otherwise, I just get too nervous and question my decision night and day.

crazy update from yesterday.... doing some work and get a call from the hospital where my MM is scheduled saying they are looking forward to seeing me this Friday? I say " no there must be some mistake I am scheduled May 10...... she keeps saying no and then suddenly..." i see it never mind Good bye?
OMG so this causes a minor freak out because I wonder if they have all the dates fouled up. There is a bit of transition with PS and his patient consultant moved back home.... he gave me a number if something came up so i did the only thing i could figure and called.... he called the hospital himself and they called right back assuring me it was all taken care of.
I thought it was AWESOME that he took a moment for something ( in the end) so trivial. Certainly confirmed my choice for a PS!!!!
I am working up the nerve to post pictures... have to get DH to take them. I am too short to show up in the mirror.

Well I am now at one week PO..... Pain is basically gone. I hope to get my drains out tomorrow as they are putting out less than 5 a day each. I am walking around. A few pings here and there. Bruising is starting to fade. I am still swollen all over and have to remind myself that it wasnt ever going away in a day ....

The visit so far was great.... his co-ordinator is easy to work with ... more to come Dr. Boynton has been fabulous through it all..... returning calls quickly... answering questions. Even stayed an extra hour in surgery because he was being a perfectionist ( GOOD THING!!!!) Absolutely consider him if you live in and around Houston.

See that 98% worth it rating up there? I think you'll be super happy with how you look afterward. I haven't seen photos of you (but would love it if you'd post them!) but it sounds like you're a great candidate for this procedure. Having babies really does a number on our bodies.
Please let us know how you're feeling as the big day nears. Hugs!
