well she took out 3850cc is this good?? my tummy was shaped like i was bout 5months prego....and its still kind of pokin out but i guess its swollen and still have fluid cause my pubic area is big and im in pain or jus very very sore i had my tummy and flanks done but i jus dnt knw wat to think....someone calm me dwn pls....i have to jus tip around i mean how long before anything start to happen.....ugh

Well now its been 8days and i am moving around a lot better...I seen my Dr. on Monday and she said dat my tummy is full of fluid and swollen and dat all dis will go down...(WILL IT YOU GUYS)
man my tummy is big bigger than it was and hard from the collagen but if the collagen is forming correctly like she say will my tummy go bk down even though the collagen is forming and my tummy is poking out big time!!!

well i put on a 2piece diz weekend and felt prtty gud....can't wait til all dis goes dwn...im still pretty swollen and hard but i guess it takes time~3weeks today

Soo if i would just stop eating maybe i would go ahead and lose my tummy...SMH...I need more lipo or just diet can't get motivated to do neither

reading some of the other posts, most people remain swollen. check other posts it may put you at ease. i'm having my procedure April 1st. Sorry i can't help. But just read it may calm you down some. :) feel better you will look fabulous after the swelling goes down.

good morning.I had my ower and upper abs done on the 24th. I feel the same. like you just runned over. I am still very swollen and also my mon (pubie) is also very swollen but drained for the past 4 days. It was purple. very scary looking. On my right side is very sensitive and hurts to turn over in bed and to get up from sitting to standing. the garmet kinda keeps things solid. but last night i also felt round..do you have problems with elimination? I feel like my bladder is still half asleep. my doc took out 2700. after it was all done they stood me up and lipod alittle mre. then I felt like i was gonna pass out. 80 over 40 was the b.p but i am only taking ex strenghth tylenal. I have to go back to work tomorrow. i work in a hospital and i cant still bend over,, but my surgery hurt even after i had the ativan, litocaine and everything else. it was mostly on the right side. and i have to go for a mini tuck next year cause i had damaged skin from babies that wont shrink back and my surg doesnt do that part. well lets see how everthing works out in the next 6 months so your not alone with the swelling. keep me posted ok?

See I didnt drain at all dat night and then the next morning i was done and it was blood when i was draining...if i knew to let this stuff drained out i would have now im sitin here with a belly full of fulid she "say" and all this hard collagen but its forming right but my tummy is still big even bigger man i dnt knw wat to do to get this stuff out of me im gettin scared thats my tummy will stay like this because of the collagen...but i dnt knw can they get this fluid out she told me to move around alot!!! and drink water some one please tell me sum good!

hey mine is hard and i feel pregnant also and they told me that it is normal and i think things are getting better. patients as they say. i had mine on the 24th. are you feeling better yet?

I had 4600 plus taken out of my upper/lower abds, love handles. You will be fine just wear the compression garment very tight and take the water pills your Dr gave you. I'm 3 weeks post procedure and I doing great my pubic area is finally going down and I just waiting for my 6 week check up to do before and after pictures.

My Dr. didn't give me water pills and also when i ask to take sum ova the counter she said it wouldn't do any good!

today is i week. I saw my doc the day after surg then again tomorrow. i have noticed last night my abs on lower are alot more firmer because of the garment. but my doc never gave me a water pill and i have some trouble urinating alot. we measure tomorrow. i didnt drain much only one spot on the mon for 4 days. thats the pub area. but still have a knot near my belly button. but i may have a good bruise inside there so.but wear the garmet as san said and it will ok yes my pubic is still swollen but at least the purple is fading. but the garmet actualy is good becasue it keeps things in place

what kind of lipo did you get? i got smart lipo 9 days ago and my tummy never got like that.

i had smart lipo upper/lower abs and "flanks" she said she did my flanks but idk cant tell~

i got smart lipo on the upper and lower abs. they took 2800 cc out.but i am swollen and the harness is the fluid and the abd wall he told me. and i would notice a big change from now till may. i do feel better plus i am 180 and it is mostly belly or was should i say//

I has lipo of abs and flanks done April 28. I wasn't given water pills either, it is my understanding that it is dangerous to take them after this surgery. I was up 8lbs after from swelling and it was back down after day 3 post op. I still have some swelling and doctor said it will get worse before it gets better. I could see a big improvement at my doctors visit 3 days later. See my post and pics. Best of luck to you, hope all goes well! If you post a question for one of the docs on this site they will answer if for you.

I was given maxide it's a Blood Pressure plus HCTZ which is a diuretic I don't really think it works too well so I use a lasix 40mg every other day when I feel like i'm bloating. Hope this helps

OMG yes things are a lot better...im sooo happy finally...my tummy is down a lot almost flat still swollen and fluid but i see the change,,,im now 15dayz out! well ill post my pics soon...

Well I am not trying to scare you but my Dr told me that some peoples bodies just swell a whole lot. I had smartlipo done Oct 27 2010, had my upper/lower ab, flanks and what I call bra fat done. Six months later no results. I swelled up so bad after surgery, and actually haven't even gotten back down to pre-op size. My Dr offered to do a re-touch but im scared I will just get bigger. So I hope you have good results with your surgery. Im getting a refund for mine.

OMG Jennty, you look amazing. I think it's only going to get better from here on for you. I am truly considering having this surgery done as I too cannot get rid of this old stubborn fat. I actually live down in Montgomery so I may actually try to get a consult with your doctor. Thanks for showing us all of your updates and sharing your thoughts. I think you helped me make up my mind to go for it.

Thanks for posting your story and pics your review is very encouraging. My stomach looks similar to how yours did and i had been thinking about smartlipo...so I had my consultation 4/6 and i plan to have my upper and lower abs done 5/5 and Im hoping and praying for great results! Are you still happy about your decision and results?

Thanks! my stomach has always been "too big" for my body..so im gettn excited just to think that i wont always look pregnant in my clothes...i can camouflage if its just a lil bit..u know? lol.I wanted to get my sides done too at the same time but my dr said she wants to do abs first to see if im happy with the outcome. Im gonna post my pics too when the time comes.
