After breastfeeding both my children I was...

After breastfeeding both my children I was extremely unhappy with the my saggy breasts and enlarged nipples, so I set out in search for a surgeon to perform a breast lift and implant procedure. After months of online research, I came across Dr. Howard Webster on this very website and after reading through all the positive reviews I booked in for a free consultation and couldn't wait to meet him. During that first consultation I went it with so many questions and thought because I hadn't written them all down surely I was going to leave forgetting to ask so many of them, however Dr. Webster spent so much time with me just going through and explaining in detail and easy to understand terms, everything I needed to know from my implant options (under/over muscle, size, shape, profile, etc) to the surgery itself and recovery period. I walked out knowing right away that he was going to be my surgeon, not only was I totally informed about every aspect of having a breast lift and augmentation, but I felt so comfortable and at ease in his presence. I could see straight away that I wasn't just another 'patient' to Dr. Webster, I was a patient with feelings, emotions and concerns which he fully understood and generally cared about.
That very night I went home and performed the rice test to determine the implant size I would be most comfortable with. I then booked a second consultation with Dr.Webster to confirm my implant size and book in my surgery date which was the 11th of February 2014. A few weeks before the op I started to get a little anxious but I knew I was in very good hands, so I was also excited at the same time. The staff at both ARC and Linley Clinic kept me update with everything I needed to know and do to prepare for my lift. The morning of the surgery came around and I found myself being settled into my room by the friendly staff at the clinic, Dr.Webster then came to see me and made his markings on where he was going to be making the incisions, all the time explaining everything along the way, which again made me feel completely at ease and confident in his abilities.
My surgery all went to plan and I was expecting that once the anaesthetic wore off that I was going to be in extreme pain but I was very pleasantly surprised to find the pain to be quite mild, it was actually more of a pressure type of pain than a stabbing or radiating pain (I rated it a 3 out of 10). After my overnight stay I was able to go home on some decent pain meds, I'm a single mum so I went and stayed with my mum for a week as I was unable to drive and I needed her to help take care of myself and my children (aged 5&9). After a week I was off pain medication so I was able to go home and resume driving, however I still needed some support in getting housework done as I was unable to lift anything or really stretch and reach for things for a few more weeks.
I did have a couple of concerns after my surgery the first being a minor bleed that actually occurred the day I went home (my daughter tugged on my arm), I called ARC immediately and they put me straight through to one of the nurses, who after I had described everything assured me that most likely everything was ok but told me to come in the next day to see Dr. Webster just to be sure. Turned out all was fine!
My second concern occurred 3 weeks post op, when because I was feeling so good I decided to go on a 2 hour walk, however I pushed myself too soon without the proper supportive bra and I caused quite a large purple red bruise to develop under my right breast. I instantly panicked thinking it was a haematoma or infection, once again I got into contact with Dr. Webster who immediately got me to send him images, he instantly put me at ease again as he said it was just bruising but that I was to monitor it and send him images daily. The support I received from Dr. Webster was above and beyond my expectations, he would reply everyday after I would send through the images and even said that if I still didn't feel confident that all was ok that I could come in to see him. the bruising took a few weeks to go away but it has in no way affected the results of my surgery. It has now been 3 months since my bilateral breast lift with implants and I have to say Dr. Webster did an absolutely amazing job and I'm so over the moon with the results, I would definitely do it all over again in a heartbeat. I went from a very saggy (in my son's words flat pancakes!) size C to a very perky and beautifully shaped DD, I have the lollipop scar and my nipples were also reduced in size.
To any of you ladies thinking of having this surgery done I would highly recommend Dr. Webster, not only is he brilliant in his abilities, his bedside manner and very friendly demeanor made my whole experience stressfree. So I would like to say a very big THANKYOU to Dr. Webster, the staff at ARC and Linley Clinic :)
