Hello ladies! I had my BA Monday afternoon. All went very well, except the nurse having a hard time starting an IV. I had to wait until I got into the OR for the anesthesiologist to place my IV. Pretty much as soon as he got the IV in I was out. Next thing I remember is waking up in the recovery room. Dr ended up putting 375cc in. Thanks for all of your stories! I can't post pics on here right now, so I'll post them later. :)

Thank you for your story! I have struggled about this decision for a long time! I have also felt guilt and wanted to accept the body God had given me! I am glad that you were able to go through and do this for yourself! I hope you are doing well! Let us know how you are feeling!
Hey there! I was a basket case (on the inside) all the way into the surgicenter! I appeared very calm but was scared out of my mind! Everything seemed to have gone so quickly! So far, I'm loving the size. I know they're going to drop and fluff (hopefully soon), but right now they're just so tight/hard. Feels like your overly engorged with breast milk. I'm trying to post pics, but for some reason my phone won't allow it?!?!
I guess you can't post pictures from your phone. I'm not sure why, but I've read that on here.
So glad you are on the other side. Can't wait to see your after pics. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Glad you are doing well!! Can't wait to see :)
I hope you recovery is been easy I cant wait to see ur new pics with ur new look! Congrats!!!! I will be getting mines finally on friday! I will be getting 375cc silicone too I hope thats not to big for me cuz Im smaller then u

So, I had my pre op appt yesterday!! I left feeling calm and excited...until I got home and read the booklet (Natrelle) I was given about my implant type!! It contained case studies that freaked me out!!! Anyone else's dr give them this book to read, and did it freak you out?! LOL!

I took in my wish pics. I'm hoping for a natural look, mid-full C (but not D) with a nice slope. I have very little breast tissue and am quite fair and thin. My PS is thinking high profile (BWD is 12), crease incision. I will be getting Natrelle silicone. I've read that high profile can appear fake a lot. Anybody else get high profiles with similar stats/starting point as me?!?! He said he'll take a range in sizes into OR 375-400cc. I emailed him this morning to ask if he'd be taking moderate+ in too. Waiting to hear back.

I'm FREAKING OUT, so any advice/words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks ladies!!! :)

I also have the Natrelle implants but I did not read the booklet. I'm not sure what it says that's causing you stress. Obviously I can't speak on long term effects as I've had mine for just over 4 weeks but I'm very happy with them and my PS is very well respected with a ton of experience. I felt great about her right from the very first consult and that's why I'm confident that she would use only the best type of implant. Not sure if that helps at all.
Thank you Sillysassy1432! Your photos look GREAT! :) I'm so happy for you! I'm praying my surgery goes well and have no complications! I'm just soooo nervous!! I left my dr's office yesterday feeling so good then that darn book got the best of me! I know I REALLY want to go through with my BA, but I can't get past the "what ifs" and thinking of my babies and husband. Does that make sense? Anyway, thank you so much for commenting! Take care!! :)
Thank you so much! Yes it makes perfect sense. I don't think there is a single woman preparing for this who doesn't go through a similar experience. We second guess our decision, especially because it isn't a necessary procedure. Those were my thoughts at the time, am I too vain? Am I doing this for the wrong reasons and endangering my health in the process. There is plenty of negative info out there about having implants and I don't think it's a bad idea to read at least some to be prepared for any possible complications as of course there is always that possibility. However, I think that with all the years of experience out there now and all the new techniques they have been able to significantly reduce the risks. The decision has to be yours and it has to be right for you. I do know that there are plenty of long term success stories and for me, it was worth the possible risks. Having said that, I do admit that I will continue to worry about Capsular Contracture as it can happen at any stage, even years down the road. I love my result and I'm going the enjoy having boobs. We're all here for you to lend any moral support we can. Good luck and keep us updated. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I am so grateful to have found this site and someone like you who is willing to listen and take the time to comment!!! I truly appreciate you!! Your words actually calmed me a bit! I even read your response to my husband, whom I'm sure I'm driving bonkers with my pendulum of emotions regarding this whole ordeal!!! LOL! I'm all over the place. One minute I'm smiling ear to ear about getting my BA, then the next I'm back to freaking out! Almost need a paper bag over here!!! LOL! I'm sure it's just nerves as my surgery is a week away...I just pray that all of this worry/anxiety goes away once it's done!!! Thanks again for your kind words!!! Take care!!! :)
Once I woke up from surgery, I felt a lot better about my decision. I knew that I didn't die getting boobs (yes I know it might have been a silly worry, but it was definitely one I had). Oh and in regards to your husband getting driven crazy-if he is kind and listens, then you know he's awesome, because that's what he should do right now in my opinion. Afterall, even if you are doing it for you, they will also benefit when it's done! ;-)
I got Allergan high profile silicone put in a few days ago. I received the same type of booklet and read it from front to back. There is definitely information that is concerning, which is why you have to weigh the pros and cons and decide if it's worth the risk to you and your health. I waited an entire year after my first consult before deciding to go ahead with the procedure. Good luck with whatever you choose!
Hey 8675309!!! How are you feeling?! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that was "concerned" after reading that booklet! How did you get past all of the "what ifs" and your babies and husband?? If that makes sense?! I'm hoping that my current freaked out state is normal... Thanks for commenting! :)
I am feeling fantastic! Like I said, I didn't take it lightly-I literally waited an entire year because of the things I read in that book. For me, I also felt I had nothing up top. It's hard to fake nothing in a swimsuit. My husband, kids and I went to a waterpark a couple months back. I put on my usual 2 piece tankini and once again was disgusted with what I saw up top or didn't see and felt terrible the entire time I was wearing my suit. I had a previous surgery and I feel it was the best thing I've ever done for myself. So fast forward and I decided to take the chance. Think about it-we take chances every single day-even something as simple as getting in your vehicle and driving somewhere. I think it's great that you are really thinking it through. Someone else or myself being happy we did this isn't going to mean you'll be happy or that it will be worth it for you. I will tell you, I had reservations even as I walked to the waiting room. I hope you feel confident as you go ahead. :D
That was suppose to say operating room, not waiting room. ;-)
I'm sure it's just my nerves, but my stomach is getting upset from stressing and thinking relentlessly about everything and everyone! One minute I'm smiling ear to ear thinking about my surgery, then the next I'm back to freaking out! Did all of your worries and stress go away as soon as you were awakened from surgery? I completely understand about the whole swimsuit thing!!! We are currently stationed in Hawaii, so you can imagine my dilemma when feeling confident in a suit!! LOL! You are also right in your scenario of driving a car. I'm just praying that all of my worrying stops once I finally have my BA bc I'd hate to do all of this only to not enjoy them!!! I'm so grateful for this site and people like you who are willing to help! I truly appreciate your taking the time to comment! Take care!!!
Hi! Good luck tomorrow! Just had my surgery today at 12:00. So far so good! I'm about to update my review if you want to take a look.

I finally set my surgery date! The big day is April 26!! I would love to go through this journey with motivation and support of someone else!! If you're surgery date is around mine, I would love to hear your story and go through this huge ordeal with you!! :)

Congrats on setting a date!! That's exciting!!
Oh I'm getting 425 silicone which in the end will be 400cc :)
I am so glad to hear you chose silicone, due to limited breast tissue and being skinny, you are much more likely to get rippling with the saline, which I am sure your PS discussed :) Go girl!
I really need to quit reading all the negative things on here...makes me second guess myself! Ahhhh! Yes, all 3 surgeons I consulted with suggested silicone. So, I'm trusting their expertise! ;) Cannot wait til my preop to get specific details regarding size, profile, incision! Unknown is making me crazy! Lol!
My surgery date is 4/11, so I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you. I'm getting 300cc silicone unders and a mini TT. Congrats on setting the date AND picking your size (If you are sticking with 400) . Two huge obstacles.
I'm thinking 400 is too big for me, so probably gonna be in mid-large 300 range. Can't wait to see your results and support you through recovery!!! :)
We definitely have similar stats. I hate to insult you since I hate mine, but our before boobs are very similar, don't you think? I also went in thinking I wanted saline for sure, but was soon persuaded to do the silicone because of not having much and having thin skin. I think I'm ok with the silicone decision now, but most likely won't be doing the mri's as recommended as bad as that is!
Hey 8675309! We do look similar, but I believe you're starting with a little more than I am! ;) I'm absolutely not insulted! I don't plan on getting an MRI every two years either! I've been told by a patient of my doctor that he recommends getting one before warranty of implants expires. When is your surgery again? Mine is next week!!! CRAZY! I bought my bed wedge pillow this morning and the Arnica tablets. :) Also got a couple sports bras yesterday. I bought medium, but have no clue if they'll fit?!?! LOL!
That is a really good suggestion about getting the MRI before the warranty expires! My surgery is tomorrow morning, hence the reason I am still awake-because I'M FREAKING NERVOUS! I don't have a wedge pillow, but did get Arnica gel. I also bought some sports bras in a size medium-I hope they work!
Hey girl! I hope your surgery went well!!! I'm thinking of ya! Take care and I look forward to seeing your results and hearing your final ccs!! :)
