Starting to Get Nervous! - Guilford, CT

Went to my first postop visit today after 48 hours. I guess the meds had gotten to me because I threw up as soon as I got there! Seriously! He said everything looked great and drains can come out on Monday. Up and walking much better and feeling a little better everyday. Stopped the meds and just on Tylenol now. Cannot wait to feel like myself again!
One day at a time!!

Well I did it and so far so good I must say. The key is definitely staying ahead of those meds and I may never eat saltines ever again after this experience!! I am draining very minimally which I am hoping is a good thing. I absolutely loved my lady staff--they were just amazing in making me feel at ease and kept me laughing right up to the point where I zonked out. My surgeon, Dr. Chicarilli is just the best. Great to work with and I can't wait to see my results! It is definitely like my first c section with that burning feeling when walking and I miss taking a deep breath. My husband is just awesome and is going above and beyond to help me out with everything. Not only is it my first preop day but the kids have a SNOW DAY! God bless them so far---I can't hear them yet but the day is long and I'm sure someone will be torturing the other real soon!
Very aware of my incision this morning. Let the healing begin!
