34 Yr Old Small Uneven Breasts - Guilford, CT

I started a small a cup, but right side was smaller than left. Donor sites were abs, flanks, small spot inner upper thighs. One month post op, I was a b cup and looking wonderful. I'm now 3 mos post op, but have lost some retention. Breasts are much more even in size. Incisions are small and healing well. Although I found procedure incredibly painful and expensive for me, I'd consider a touch up if I could achieve results like how I looked 1 mos post op. Small unevenness on lower ab which I may want corrected.

Sounds like your procedure went well and was worth it. Where was most of your pain? At the donor sites or your breasts? How long was your recovery? Did one breast get additional fat to give you the symmetry you were seeking? Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf!

Yes, the right side got about 30 extra cc,s of fat. I had a tough recovery bc after 13 days I came down with shingles. I had pain everywhere. So, my recovery was longer than expected. I even went back in 6 mos and added 100cc,s more to each side. That recovery was much smoother.

Oh I can't believe you got shingles during your recovery. I'm so sorry! Did your doctors think that perhaps the stress of surgery triggered the shingles? Glad you were able to go back and get another transfer. Would you estimate you lost about 30% or more fat from your initial transfer? So you went from an A cup to a solid B cup now? Thank you for sharing all your helpful procedure details!

Hi. I am wondering if you had to do anything prior to your operation to "prime" your breasts for surgery. Some physicians make patients use a system called Brava, which is supposed to increase size before fat transfer - and they have to use is post-op as well. Others don't. What was your experience?
November 2, 2014
Nope, no brava used it my case. There certainly was room to put fat in. Right now I'm 4mos post op procedure #2. Lost a little, but still happy with results

Hi Frog0816- Your results are beautiful! I had a random detail question: What kind of compression garment did you have to wear after the procedure (if any) and for how long? It seems that it would be hard to take it on and off when you have all these sore incisions- did you just end up leaving it on for a few days?! Thanks for sharing!

sorry it took me so long to reply. My dr does not use brava, so I did nothing to prep. For compression, I wore a sports bra (no wires) that opens in back. On abdomen, they gave me a compression wrap. I started a small a, and moved up to a small b. I'd say I maintained 70% of the fat transferred, but it's hard to tell exactly be of initial swelling.

I'm a highly sensitive individual (esp to pain, stress, etc), so it is very possible I just did too much at one procedure. This (shingles) isn't a common post op effect, it was just what happened in my particular case. Didn't happen with any of following procedures.

Looks great. Did the dr. Give you a discount for a 2nd round of fat transfer?
November 3, 2014
Yes, he discounted it by 1k. The area was smaller so it was less expensive the second round. Just wish they had a little more fat to transfer the second time.

Ive noticed most woman go a 2nd round of fat transfer. I guess i need to prepare for that. Im still debating. So hard to decide if a lift will be enough.

I think, depending where you start at, size wise, how much fat you remove, how much can fit when transferred, what you want out of your result, and how much you retain all factors in. It really is different for everyone, but when I saw a before/after of a previous patient of his who went back for a second, she looked so good, I wanted that look too. I've done it more than twice (I retain more that way, since each transfer builds on the previous, and allows more to be added, and less lips each time makes a shorter recovery)

Hi. Really good results. Could you tell me how many cc you had put in each breast?

3rd times the charm

so, I decided I wanted one last procedure, of upper abdomen, and a little on putter thighs. I figured why not transfer the fat, so the dr did. About 120cc in each side. Will post photos once swelling goes down.

Did you pay ~$8k every transfer? How is this lipo on the stomach?
August 13, 2015
The second time was around 7k, the third around 6k.

My stomach has a natural roundness to it, so it never really gets flat, just debulks a bit. Still, very happy with results

Looking forward to your updated pictures. There isn't much out there on multiple fat transfers (experience and results) even tho it seems most pts go back 2 or 3 times

So you had three fat transfers? Would LOVE updates
