I always had small boobs but was never unhappy with them. I had always been a 36B and able to manage to get the look I wanted with light padding in my bras and swimwear. When I was pregnant, my boobs grew to a 38E but my stomach was so huge with the twins that they didn't look big in comparison! I didn't nurse the twins for very long because I was exhausted all the time, but nonetheless after I lost all the baby weight, my boobies looked deflated. I was still a 36B but they were no longer perky. I had been thinking about BA for at least 5 yrs before I got up the nerve to do it. I am very athletic and was never willing to take the time off from working out to recover, but I finally decided this winter to just go ahead and do it! I had my initial consult in Feb, fell in love with my PS who did several friends' BA's, and booked it on the spot for 3/30! I have been lurking on this website since my PS suggested I go on it to put a collection of wish boobs together for him. All of the information everyone has shared has been so amazing so I thought I should share my experience as well!

I had my pre-op 10 days before my procedure and I showed my PS my wish boobs. He said he could definitely achieve it and thought 350cc mod plus silicone unders would do it but he would have a whole range in the operating room up to 400cc because he won't know for sure until he puts them in. I made 350cc rice sizers at home using the instructional video on this website and wore them around the house and to work one day to see how I liked the look. At first they felt too big, but I got used to the size and when i wore them to work, no one even noticed anything was different which I was happy about! I've been wearing padded bras for so long, people probably don't really know how small I really am!

The night before my procedure I was so excited/nervous, I could barely sleep! At the hospital all the nurses were so nice they made me feel right at ease. The nurse who prepped me told me she had it done and no one knew, but it was the best thing she had ever done for herself! I chatted with the anesthesiologist while we were waiting for my PS and he was great too, telling me jokes. When my PS came in, he had me stand up and he marked my chest and body with a marker. The way he would stand back to take a look while he was drawing, I felt like he was an artist, planning how to create his "sculpture". As he was drawing, I jokingly asked him if he was drawing a cartoon character on my chest! lol. We talked again about size and I told him I loved the 350cc rice sizers but I had been reading on this site that women are often unhappy they didn't go bigger so maybe we should go with 375. He said he had a range of sizes but that going bigger isn't always better and because my nipples are already low, they could just end up looking lower with a bigger implant. He said if he has a choice between a smaller and bigger implant, he always goes with the bigger one but only if he thinks it will work. I loved all his before/after pics and figured he's the expert and I'm paying him a lot of money for his expertise, so I told him I trusted his judgment. Afterwards, they wheeled me into the operating room, hooked me up to the monitors and a nurse said she was giving me oxygen in a mask, I then smelled something else which I assume was anesthesia and was out like a light.

Next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery room and my SO came in to see how I was. I was surprised by the amount of pain I was in! It felt like I had rocks strapped to my chest and I could barely move. No nausea though which was good. I had general anesthesia before and didn't get nauseous then either so I was hoping I wouldn't this time either. The nurse gave me water in a cup with a straw and I just lay in the bed feeling groggy. She gave me an antibiotic pill and a pain killer and after about an hour, I finally felt up to getting dressed and going home.

My SO drove me home and took care of me the rest of the day which was great. I got into bed and looked at my boobies in the post surgical bra and thought they looked much smaller than I expected them to. I was sad and asked my SO what he thought and he assured me they looked great and would end up being what I wanted. I was surprisingly not as sore as I thought I would be...I don't think all the anesthesia had worn off that day! My PS told me not to take my bra off but I had to take a peek before I went to bed. They looked huge! Much bigger without the post surgical bra on!! My nipples looked huge too! I slept that night on an incline pillow. I'm a back sleeper so I didn't have much trouble except for when I had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I used my abs to sit up, but I got stuck and needed to wrap my foot around a small bench next to my bed to anchor my lower body so I could sit up all the way! Good thing I had been doing a lot of ab exercises before my procedure because I have been using my abs and legs for everything!

When I woke up in the morning I took another peek and was more swollen. I took it easy that day, 1 day post op, just working on my computer and watching TV. Since my SO had to go to work, I asked him to put everything I needed down low in the fridge or on the kitchen counters because I couldn't reach up. Another tip... if you're going to be alone, get someone to open all your prescription bottles for you!! That was one tip I had never seen anywhere that I wish someone had mentioned. I also should have requested the non-child proof bottles because my kids are old enough now for that not to be an issue. Now ,I put all my pills in a 7 day pill box and left all the bottles on my dresser slightly open. The evening of day 1 post op was the worst! Although I didn't do that much that day, by the end of the day my boobs felt ginormous! I felt like they were up at my neck and when I peeked in my bra again, they looked so huge and taut, I started worrying they would keep swelling and I would get stretch marks which I am prone to! I don't like the way the pain meds make me feel and was fine just taking tylenol during the day but I definitely needed to take the pain meds at night. My whole body was just exhausted and I felt like I had a small heavy backpack strapped to the front of my chest that I just wanted to take off!! I was also soon itchy from the post op bra! I decided to put Traumeel which has arnica and calendula on my boobies to make them feel better. It felt cool and definitely helped.

I didn't have a great night sleep that night and woke up yesterday, 2 days post op with the worst morning boob! I felt so stiff and so much pressure, I wanted to cry. My SO was driving me to my post op appt at 9am so I took 2 tylenol and felt so much better after moving around a little bit. At my post op appt, my PS removed the dressing tape over my steri strips. I have a lot of bruising in the area where the bottom of the bra band was. He said it was much less bruising than typical which I was happy about because I hadn't seen any pics on this website of women with post op bruising. Maybe because they aren't pretty? My SO thinks the bruising is scary looking but it doesn't really hurt. I think it's just where the blood collected, kind of like when you sometimes get a black eye if you get hit in the nose. My PS told me not to wear the bra anymore and that I should just wear t shirts or camis with absolutely no support, not even a shelf bra. He said my implants need to drop and he doesn't want anything holding them up. He said some PS's use a strap on the top, but he found that it doesn't really work any better than just letting gravity do it's job.

Today I'm 3 days post op and feeling good! Woke up with a little morning boob but not terrible. I'm only taking tylenol and arnica and putting Traumeel on my boobies to help the bruising go away faster. Naked, my boobies still look a little weird and like torpedoes because they are up high, but in a tank they look AMAZING already! I am absolutely thrilled with how I think they are going to settle. It's a gorgeous day out so I took the dog for a walk around the block which was not a good idea because she pulled the whole time and it was frustrating trying to control her without pulling the leash hard. I was yanking the leash with my left arm and when I got home my left boob ached! I iced it though and it feels better. Now I'm back in the chaise lounge on my computer, watching the food channel and waiting for my SO to come home.

I hope everyone who is going through recovery is healing well! Take it easy even if you feel like you can do more! I will post some pics if I can figure out how to do it.

Thanks for sharing your story! We have similar body types. I also have broad shoulders, am about 5'4-5'5 and 145 pounds (you're skinnier ;)). I am 26, though, no kids. I really like yours.... I think you look great. And they look natural. So what size are you wearing right now?

Thank you! I'm still a 36D although bra sizing seems to vary so much! I bought a very supportive running bra the other day because the girls are bouncing way to much when I tried running for the first time and the band was right so I sized up to a 38 and down to a C cup. From what I've learned on this site, 36D and 38C are sister sizes.

I love Blake Lively's look. She looks so natural, everyone still speculates about whether she had a boob job but when you look at her old and recent pictures, there is no doubt! She looks so beautiful and can change her look as she wants to,
which is what I would like...versatility!! I want people to wonder if I was naturally blessed too!!

I have an athletic build with broad shoulders and a wide chest. My PS recommended 350cc mod plus silicone but said I had enough room to go as high as 400cc and still look natural. I ended up with 350 and am very happy so far!

Thank you so much!! Yes my SO is pampering me, he's such a sweetheart! I'm going to try to get our and pamper myself with a mani/pedi today too!! Laying in bed recovering is tough for me because I'm always so active. Trying to be patient, not one of my virtues. Lol. Loving all of the support from everyone on RS too. It has made this whole process so much easier!

I'm SO glad I found your review. I'm EXACTLY your stats - height, weight, chest, bra size....everything. Even your concerns about working out are the same. I'm concerned about taking so much time off from working out. I'm going for the exact same look. My surgery isn't until November (too much going on until then...that will be the first time I can pull myself away from work and my 3 kids busy schedules!), but I'm planning on getting the same size/style implant. I've already selected a surgeon and had a few pre-op appts. She suggested 375 but I'm worried that's too big. Obviously lots of time to decide. And, your wish pictures are the exact look I'm going for. I've come across so many reviews where they go with larger implants, so it's nice to find a review of someone that is hoping to achieve the exact same look as me. Please keep updating us - can't wait to see your final results!!

Happy to help! I also had a hard time finding reviews from women who wanted a modest increase which is why I decided to go ahead and write a review. I'm only 5 days out but by the time you need to decide on size I should be pretty settled. I did find one review that really helped me. She had similar stats and only got 310cc and achieved where I would like I end up but her before pic looks slightly bigger than me. I'll post some new pics soon!
