Worth It
Spent: $1,500 in Seattle, WA
I had only four treatments as I have experienced some fat loss in my face due to being HIV+. Overall I am satisfied and would recommend having this done if and only if you have experienced fat loss due to being HIV+. I had a doctor in Seattle give the injections that had already done some 20-25 patients so I felt comfortable with his knowledge and level of expertise in injecting this "newer" product. As you read other reviews of this product (on this page) that do not give favorable results you need to be aware of why they used this product. According to the manufacturer’s site, "Sculptra is approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV.) It is an informative web site and the manufacturer also offers reduced rates for this product based on your income. Contact them directly to find out more. Lastly, be informed before you chose to try anything (i.e., do your own research.)
