Tummy Tuck: Stories

First off thank you so much ladies for sharing your experiences. This website has truly educated, motivated and has encouraged me to move forward.
I live in Atlanta and I am scheduled to get my TT/lipo of abs and flanks done tomorrow by Doctor Jimerson (Dr. J) and I am so very nervous and excited!!!

Well... TODAY is the day. I am beyond excited and nervous. It's about 4:30 am and I can't sleep. I guess I should take the Zantac pill now. Yesterday, I went out and purchased everything on my list. I think I spent way to much money. However, I needed everything. It's hard to put into words how I feel. It's been a dream to have this done. I did have pure lipo done about three years ago. But that was a waste of time and money. My stomach is bigger now than it was before I had that done. I do remember the pain well. With this proceedure, from reading, the pain seems to be much greater, The difference is I no longer smoke. Yayyyy!! So I'm praying the healing process will be better. Well, I will post pictures of before and after sometime this week. I have a great support system so I believe and know thatv I will come out victorious! I have to be there at 11:30. I will update soon!!

Well I had my proceedure done by Doctor Jimerson on yesterday. I do see a change but I will have to remove the garment to really see the big difference. So my right side seems to be draining more, not sure why but I do everything by the instructions. I am surprised that I am not in that much pain. I take my meds like clock work So maybe that is why.I am walkimg up straight. without bending/ hunched over like some of the ladies talked about in their post. I'm drinking lots of water and still have this nasty taste in my mouth, I know I'm going to buy the redliner chair today. It was very hard for me to slep last night. Just trying to find a comfortable position was a chore. So...today, I must rent or buy one. Other than that, just taking it easy. I am walking around and moving so that is a good thing .I will post a few pictures sometime today.

Day 3 Post -Op.
Well...the pain is kicking in. So its best to take your medicine like clockwork. The drain balls arent as bad as I thought. I have yet to have a bowel movement, It is the 3rd day and I thought that was suppose to happen. I will give it one more day then if nothing has happend I will get something over the counter. I am walking with a hunch in my back, I am unable to walk straight up all the time. Can anyone suggest a better garment. OMG this one hurst so bad. The wires under or inside the sides of the garment has me in so much pain. It's like the wires are bending into my skin. I now have a few scars and bruises.. I took off the garment they gave me and put one on that I already had.I could bare the pain better now. Let me know what other garment works best.

Well I went to my post op on this past Wednesday. The nurse told me that I will have to leave the drains in another week because I may have a hematoma. She said the good thing is that it's draining correctly. They will check it again when I come back next week. One of my drains had a hole in it, so she had to cut the cord and place it back on the ball. I'm am trying to remain positive. I don't think my stomach is flat at all. I can see a little difference. But when I look at all the pictures of the ladies on here, they really look flat. I was told that it will get flatter as the weeks go on. I sure hope so. I had a breakdown at Dr. J's office when I went to the post op. Dr. J told me that it will go down, and that I am still swollen. I am praying this to be true. It's like you wait 21 years to get this done and when you do, you can barley see any results, it makes you a little depressed. But, I am going to keep wearing my garment. I purchased one from Lipoexpress. It is the short body with the butt cheeks out. I payed $110 for it. I also wear the waist quincher it says Golds Gym but I think I got it from Walmart. I just pray my tummy goes down more. As of now, it is still swollen,

Hello. Well I finally got my drains out today after 16days. I was told I have a hematoma and I have to go back for surger ( lipo) on Monday to have it removed. I am positive and I have faith that it will all work out. I do see a huge difference my stomach has gotten flatter even though there is still lots of swelling. I have yet to post pictures, I will after Monday. Say a payer for me and I wish you all happy healing. God is in control!

I am still bleeding after the hematoma. I am back at work because I had to. Im disappointed with the way I have been treated. I go see my primary doctor tomorrow and Dr. J in the evening "when it's NOT SO BUSY" So i was told. This has been the worst experience ever!! You really need to be mindful and careful how you treat people on your way to the top. You will see those same people on the way back down. Dr. J does NOT know whose child I am! You get back what you put into the universe!"
