I had my initial consultation and sizing earlier this month, and I'm very excited for my new boobs!

The initial consultation was very short- Mr Richards and Aggie basically just took some measurements, asked me about my goals, and made sure I was a good candidate for the augmentation. They were both very friendly and welcoming.

The sizing was very fun! Aggie gave me different sized implants to try in the bra she provided, and recommended either 330cc or 360cc moderate. When she asked me which implants I'd been considering, I asked about anatomical/gummy bear implants, Aggie was under the impression I wanted very natural, modest results. I had also forgotten to put my wish boob pictures on my phone to show her! When I got home, I realised that I actually preferred the look of higher profile implants. Aggie was SO helpful over email with helping me choose the right size high profile implants. Don't forget to bring your wish-boob photos to the sizing like I did!! :)

As Mr Richards always takes 3 sizes of implant into theatre, I've decided on 360cc moderate profile, 390cc and 420cc high profile implant. As the bases of high profile implants are smaller, I'll need more volume to suit my rib cage width.

My surgery is booked for the 23rd of July, and I'm counting down the days! My mother is away on a trip where I can't get hold of her to let her know, and she gets back on the 7th of July. She's very anti-plastic surgery, so I hope she won't give me a hard time about it. I booked the surgery for after she got back, so she won't feel as though I'm going behind her back, which I think she'll appreciate.

Hi! My surgery is also booked for July 23. I haven't had my preop appointment yet but that's when we'll discuss sizing and such. I did try on 375cc rice sizers, they're on my profile if you want to look. I hope they're at least somewhat accurate to actual size!

I think you picked a great size for you!

Oh thank you! :) It's cool to think we'll be doing it at the same time! I'll definitely be following your progress and hoping it goes well!

Considering hiring a carer to look after me for the first few days.

I'm wondering if it would be worth hiring a carer from an agency to help me until I have a little movement in my arms. Maybe the first 3 days or so? According to Kare Plus, their carers do cleaning, cooking and shopping as well as personal care. At less than £20 an hour, a few hours a day for a few days will cost nothing compared to the surgery costs. If it can help me heal faster and de-stress me, I think it'll be worth it! :)

I wouldn't feel comfortable asking any of my friends to sacrifice that much of their time to help me out, and would feel terrible bossing them around! Has anyone else either thought about, or hired any help post-surgery?

I think it's a great idea if you don't have a particular oerson you'd be happy to call on. Before I even went further ahead with deciding to have surgery, I asked my mum and huband if they were willing to committ to helping me, as I knew otherwise 'd ot be able to have it done. Obviously my husband will hep as much as he can, but I'll be doing it in summer hols when my 6 yr old if off school and my husband is at work all day, so need my mum to help with me and childcare!!
Defo look into it further, if you can afford it, I'd say go for it xx

I decided not to get a carer in the end, as my mum's offered to help out instead! I'm kind of relieved she offered because I think it might have felt weird having a stranger helping me out.

:-) Good choice!

I was worried about post op help as well, but it turned out that I ended up not needing it! I kept all my food and drinks on a low shelf in the fridge, and didn't need assistance with anything except showering. After the second day I was on my own for the rest of recovery and was fine.

Good luck with your surgery! I'm excited to see how everything turns out!

It's starting to feel more real now, and I'm getting a little nervous about if I've picked the right size. They're bringing 360cc MP, and 390/420cc HP into theatre. They sound huge, but I need to remember that I'm tall so they won't look monstrous.

After seeing a lot of ladies get great results with the areola incisions, I emailed Aggie about possibly having that as my incision site instead of the inframmatory fold. Apparently Adrian doesn't like to do them though. T_T After seeing that ladies with small nipples could still go through the nipple, I was really hopeful. My breasts are high and don't have a crease, so I think the areola incision would hide the incision better. I guess I'll have time to ask him myself on the day?

Here are my prep pics! I may be worried about a couple of things, but I'm incredibly excited to have my inverted nipples sorted, and to finally be getting some volume! :)

Tomorrow for us! You are going to look amazing! Let me know if you go with the areola incision. That's what I'm doing.

I totally missed this, sorry! They ended up doing an inframammary fold incision because my PS preferred the control it gave him when placing unders. I wish I could have had aureola but I ended up feeling pretty secure that my PS will place my scar well.
