Help! Terrified for Another Revision! Needing It! - Fort Lauderdale, FL

ORIGINAL POST

So, I have been reading everyone's reviews and...

asjsks
So, I have been reading everyone's reviews and figured I should write my own. I am 37 years old and had breast aug In 2004 at 26 years old, and after having my 2 children. I have 370cc sub muscular moderate profile implants. I am only 5'2" and 114lbs.
After my 1st surgery, I had immediate bottoming out within 3 weeks. At my 6 month post op date my ps decided to try and lift the crease with stronger sutures and his repair wasn't successful. I should have known better than to continue with him especially since he told me he had only done this procedure 3 times. BUT I was dumb and it didn't have to pay anything so I allowed him to try a repair. Now 11 years later and dealing with this awful bottomed out breast all these years, I am finally ready to bite the bullet and have another revision.
At this point, I have severe rippling and my breasts look and feel awful, plus the bottomed out breast has been pulling a lot lately.

After doing some research, I emailed Dr. Revis and scheduled a revision surgery for June 19th. I have decided I might as well do outer thigh lipo too while I'm under anesthesia so I will also need to comment on that as well.
I have scheduled all my flights, hotel, etc. and I will also be flying down next Tuesday April 21st to do an in person consult. I am switching to silicone implants, getting an internal bra, and using strattice to help with rippling and thin skin. I am hoping for more cleavage and more projection. I'm thinking 500cc high profile (not sure yet, that # sounds really big on my small frame)

Here's where I need everyone's help! I am terrified of choosing the wrong surgeon again and needing another revision. Has anyone else had this fear? Even after scheduling and paying $1000 down payment, I have decided to continue my research and now I am even more fearful. I have been completely obsessed with researching every review and every plastic surgeon. I have found a few negative reviews about Dr. revis and now my anxiety is taking over. I am hoping once I meet him in person, I will get some clarity.

BUT recently after seeing such raving reviews on Dr. Ary Krau I have just decided to email him for a consult too. Now I am so confused what I should do because I didn't find any negative reviews on Dr. Krau and it seems that he really stands behind his work. I would like to also meet him in person but trying to schedule a consult for next week will probably be impossible. I am willing to give up my down payment if needed but I just want clarity and something to ease my mind.
I want beautiful perky breasts. Is that too much to ask? Lol

You may find Violet1234's review helpful as she used strattice I believe. Shellysmall is also seeking a revision and Mrs 500cc...800cc had a recent revision. Their specific stories may be different but there might be parts of their reviews that are helpful. Good luck and keep us posted!

Girl you know more about your PS than I did mine, and yes I was scared too of what I might end up looking like from my revision.I had mine in Jan.this year and so far I am well pleased.....I have heard of dr.Revis on here and I believe he's good so my only advice is stick with him I guess .I wish you well and good luck I will follow you and see how yours are after.

I saw Dr Krau for a consult on a revision a couple of weeks ago. He had a great manner and seemed very authentic. He offered three potential solutions to the problems I am having with pros and cons of each. The only challenge is that the decision for choosing is mine. I left a little more confused since his recommendations differed from the four PS in the DC area that I have seen. i would also need drains and have to stay in Miami for 2 weeks. Practically it would be difficult and more expensive, but I am seriously considering it. Good luck with your final decision, and the surgery!

Good luck deciding which Dr. will he best for you. I fly to meet Dr. Revis in 2 days. I'm finally starting to get excited! In my email consult with Dr. Krau, he had said I would need to stay therefor 10-14 days which seems like a long time. I have young kids, and my mom won't want to watch them for that long.

Dr revis fixed my synmastia 4 yrs ago which is a difficult revision to do, he is truly an artist!!! I wouldn't trust anyone else if I ever want to re do mine! I'm 5'5 105 went with 425"s and WISH I had gone bigger at least 550 -650 cc's
April 20, 2015
I'm glad he was able to repair your synmatasi, were your permanent sutures palpable through your skin? Were you able to see them? I am nervous about them being visible because my skin is so thin.
April 20, 2015
I had pretty bad puckering for about 5-6 months... i think a rare case. i can still feel the permanent sutures in between my breasts but u really can't see them. i had a pretty bad case of synmastia, bottoming out and double bubble.... :(
April 20, 2015
Wow- sounds like he had his work cut out for him with all of your fixes.lol I also have a slight double bubble on my bottomed out breast . Do you feel the sutures pull at all or do you only feel them if your touching the area? I feel the permanent sutures seem like they will hold things for a long period but I'm nervous about the pain.
April 22, 2015
ya i can feel them pull when i bend down when i don't have a bra on, I've become OCD and wear sleep bra to bed and pretty much 24 7......... I've heard many say they pain wasn't that bad but for me i was in pain for a while

It is always hard to decide to have surgery again but you seem educated about it. One thing I would say is go bigger than you think you want because I haven't ever heard someone say wow I wish I had gone smaller. It's usually wishing they had gone bigger. Also I am 5'3" and weigh about 118 and I went from 475cc to 800cc. That sounds huge but they really aren't. And as for bad reviews, even the best surgeon out there is going to have some bad reviews. People may not have like him personally, not done what they were supposed to do or had unrealistic expectations. I would say if most of the reviews were good then that's good. Good luck with your surgery.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking the 500cc will be good for me because my 370cc look like a large B on me. (Atleast I think so, maybe it's just booby greed though) lol

Meeting Dr. Revis today!

asjsks
So we're on our way to the airport, to fly to Ft. Lauderdale and meet Dr. Revis. I haven't had any sleep because our flight leaves Detroit at 6:45am. Ugh! I packed my pre BA photos and a bunch of pics of wish boobs, along with waaaay to many clothes for a 2 day trip.
I'm hoping that meeting him will give me some clarity today.

I am looking into both of those doctors too. Please let us know what you decide. Thank you

Dr Revis will be my dr, but I didn't have an in person consult with Dr Krau. I'm sure he is a great surgeon too. It's all a gamble because everyone heels differently.

Consultation went well

I saw Dr. revis yesterday and he is very cheerful and kind like everyone says. While I was in the waiting room, there was a lady there from California that I was able to talk to and she just loves him (even though she was clearly in pain from just having Tummy tuck and breast revision) I figured that had to be a good sign.lol He walked in the room and made me feel very comfortable immediately.
I asked about 20-30 questions some were addressed in previous emails and some weren't. He sat and answered every question, and he never acted rushed. He said my bottoming out is not a severely difficult case but a medium case. He says with the amount of rippling I have, using strattice will give me the best result. I totally agree especially with my OCD. He also pointed out other flaws with my current implants which I was already aware of, but I never mentioned them to him.

After measuring me, it got to the fun part and we started talking implants. He literally has every size implant in office to look at. He ended up recommending 550cc Hp to give me more projection, cleavage, and side boob that currently isn't existent. At first I was talking 450-500. Then he pulled out his chart and looked at my current implants dimensions, and said the 500cc hp has the same diameter as my current implant.

After the implant conversation, I asked if I should have inverted nipple surgery and he said he doesn't feel it's necessary. Which I am glad because my nipples really don't bother me much and they stick out when necessary;).

We talked about my outer thigh liposuction and I asked if I should have my flanks done. He said he doesn't feel it will make a huge difference. I agree with him completely and was glad he didn't try to sell more procedures.

He was in my room about 30 minutes? I would say I am impressed. I also asked about his personal life, and how he has so much time to respond to emails. He responded that he does it before work, In between surgeries, etc. he even commented about an email I had sent him very late the evening before my appointment.
He joked a few times so I joked back by telling him if he's on a golf league (which he's not) the night before my surgery, he's not allowed to drink that night. Or if he has one of those big yachts then he needs to stay on land, because I don't want him tired. I found out I am his 3rd surgery scheduled for June 19.

While we were walking out of the office, he had 3 girls in the waiting room waiting that clearly just had large breast implants placed.

Overall, he spent a lot of time with me and he will be my surgeon. I will update soon.
