I worked out today for the first time since my surgery. I do circuit training and started freaking out on the abs machine. I DID IT! I was so afraid something would pop and so glad it didn't. It was really refreshing being back in there. Going back tomorrow. I'll keep u posted.

i had to take 3rd week off too. i have an office job.happy healing your looking great
Hey Caligrl just wanted to check in with my fellow Texas gal. How are things??
Hey Chica... 8 weeks is a great place to be. I am still dealing with the evening swelling, so I do wear my cg during the day at work. I am used to wearing it, so its like a piece of clothing now..LOL.. the swelling is tolerable at this point. Its not as painful as it was before. I just started working out again and I actually think its helping with the swelling. Getting on the ab machine was scary. I still haven't gone hard on it yet because I am so nervous and also my body is saying take it slow..take it slow.. My belly button has a slight red ring around it and the doc said he would have to inject steroid into it, to help with the healing. He said to massage the area as well as massage the incision. Last week I had several sutures sticking out but they are gone this week and the incision healing on the right side is getting much better.. How are you??
Doing pretty well! Got one of my drains out yesterday and hopefully the other tomorrow or Friday!! I want to be free!!! I will be 2 weeks tomorrow! Even went to my daughters soccer game last night! Sounds like youre doing great! Cant wait to get back to the gym. PS said i could do light cardio at 3 weeks. Then back to my fave yoga workouts at 6 weeks. So are u going to do the steroid injections around your bb?? Is that a common thing??
Just be careful with exercising. I waited for almost 8 weeks, cause I have read on this board where women felt like they popped something. I couldn't imagine doing this ALL OVER. I am not sure how common the steroid injection is, maybe I will look it up on here. Hope it doesn't hurt, but then again what NEEDLE doesn't..lol
Thanks for the heads up! I don't want to pop anything either! I will take it easy for sure. Yeah look up info on the steroid injections first. Good idea. Glad that all is good otherwise! :-)

Meant to say plenty of belly in before photos. Lol
Hi Caligirl! I can totally relate! I usually bounce back quick too, my reg dr told me this recovery would be a breeze compared to my hysterectomy, which to me was a pretty easy recovery, well as far as surgery can go, lol! Helpless is a great word to describe it, even getting stuff out of the fridge, reaching for bowls, any kind of house work, a shower??? Goodness!!! Not sure when you had your tt or what kind of work you do. Mine was on 4/22, so today is day 9 po. I have a job where I NEVER sit down, running around my whole 8 hour shift, lots of bending, lifting, many things 30-40lbs. I am planning to take 6 weeks of medical leave. I am scared that I will pull something and be in some kind of ungodly pain if I go back any sooner. Everthing is so tight, I cannot miss a dose of the muscle relaxers or I pay for it.
I have to say that 1 week has made a tremendous difference though so hopefully each week is that much better! Just want to walk upright with no back pain and a super cute-flat belly, which I have Never had! Good luck, and I would love to hear your story :)
I typed a long response and it disappeared. geesh. Ok, I had my TT on Mar 8th. I was just like you on pain meds every four hours. I was able to stand up straight after two weeks. It just magically happened that I was standing up straight. I have a desk job that requires some walking. Even when you don't walk that much you will still experience the swelling in the early evenings. Thats what I am dealing with now being 8 weeks po. Also, my sutures on the right side aren't dissolving as fast as the incision had healed, so yesterday the nurse clipped the ends which is the part that hurts because the suture hardens in the air and then doesn't dissolve. It hurt for her to pull it up, so she suggested I use a HOT towel on the incision and massage it to loosen the suture up. Hope it works. Get some rest it is very important. Happy healing, keep us posted.

Ok. 4 weeks post op, wearing garment 24/7 otherwise I swell up as soon as it comes off. Oh well, one battle at a time. I think the best thing to do at this time in recovery is take it easy, move around, take it easy... listen to your body. Day 23 is better than day 15, day 15 was better than day 10..posting a few photos. Will post before photos later didn't take any gotta get them from nurse.
