I have always wanted to get a large scar on my chin removed. I have had it since I was 5 years old from a car accident. I can't believe 40 years later, i finally have the courage to get it removed. Tomorrow is my appointment and I am excited and scared, could this really be it? I am writing to document the process and HOPEFULLY to encourage others to take the plunge after a successful procedure. I am not one of 'those' women who get cosmetic surgery.... - I am one of 'those' women' who finally have time for themselves and this is my reward. After the procedure, I was really tired and my face was on fire, as expected. The nurse and assistant were great and very attentive to me through the process.
Day 1 - my face is really puffy and red, but nothing unususal. I am trying to keep my expectations low. Afternoon now and I am not seeing any change in my scar, I'm starting to get depressed. Did I do the right thing, more to come on day 2

too depressed on Day 2 to write anything. Now Day 3, took a shower and still not convinced I did the right thing. My face is showing improvements, but my scar area has little change. I am starting to peel and still red. I really need to get out of the house today, getting a little stir-crazy, maybe a walk in the park. I have a followup tomorrow morning.

6 days, and I can now say that it was worth it. I have two more treatments for my scar area, but I am seeing improvements everyday. My skin looks is still lightly peeling, but other than that my skin is smoother. my next appointment is schedule in 4 weeks, it will focus on my chin and a few other problem areas - i will post a photo in a few days, and send updates after my 2nd procedure.

I just received my second treatment, a little over 4 week since the 1st. This laser focused on my target ares, acne scars and my chin area. It was easier this time since I knew more what to expect. I had ok results with my first round, so I am hoping to see more improvements in the areas I feel need it the most. So far so good, day 2, red and puffy, i am anxious, but hopeful. I will have a 3rd and final treatment in 14-16 weeks from now. I will post pictures in a few days

Thanks, I hope you are right. I have waited a long time for this, really want it to work. Gotta love my 15 yr old son who said 'your face looks weird'. He didn't mean to hurt my feelings, I guess I should be happy he noticed.... Lol
