I went and bought a Spanx to wear instead of my compression garment. I got the one where it goes over your shoulders but you wear your own bra- SO COMFORTABLE! It's tight enough that I feel like I'm being held in, but not bulky. The seams in my compression garment wear bothering me too, but obviously that's better with the seamless Spanx. I tried a couple other brands while I was at the store, and if I was just looking for shape wear to wear under a dress, they would have been fine, but for our purposes here, it's worth the extra $20 to buy Spanx brand in my opinion. Have any of you really liked any compression garments I should try?

Dr. Ethridge did my BA in Spetember. He and his staff are wonderful and it was a no-brainer that I would come back to him for any other procedure. I found him initially while researching DFW plastic surgeons- he's been voted the best in Fort Worth many times over (and deserves it!)

Did you get the butt out spanks? So not pressure is on your butt?
No, I thought I might need to find some like that but my doctor said I just needed to make sure my waist was compressed and these don't put much pressure on the butt area. I didn't get much put in though, so if you're getting a big booty you may need the butt out ones.
Ahhh I see!!
Hey girl just stopping by to see how u are doing? Hope all is well keep in touch...
Hey girl! You're so sweet to think of me! I'm doing better, haven't needed pain meds for a few days now. I'm starting to see the results of the lipo around my upper stomach area and my waistline is looking nicer every day. It's subtle and doesn't really show in pics so I haven't added new ones. My butt still looks the same as before, just lumpier at the injection sites. Looking forward to it softening up!
Hey Jen, how have you been sleeping? I ve been trying to sleep on my belly but its so unconfortable!!!
Lol, are you just practicing for the big day? I've been sleeping pretty well. Keep in mind you'll have pain killers to help knock you out at night! Also, ask your doctor about if it will be okay for you to be on your back if you're lying on really thick foam with a hole cut out for your butt. My doctor said it was fine, so my fiancé got a thick twin size memory foam pad from Target. I have no idea how much it was but it was worth it- we cut a rectangle out, just enough for te top of my butt (the only place I had injections) to fall through. It made recovery much easier. Also, you'll be so sore on your back and butt that you won't want to lie on them. Not in the beginning, anyways. At 3 weeks post op, I'm still a little sore and uncomfortable if I'm on my back.
Sounds like a good idea.. I was thinking of buying a massage table on amazon n using that to sleep on my belly (someone mentioned that here) but I'm not sure where I would fit that thing in my house! Lol I'm going to chk with my doc about that foam matress, hey as long as I don't have any pressure on my butt it should be fine! How bout not being able to sit? How s that going for u? I'm taking off work the whole month of May... wondering if I ll be able to do anything besides stay home...
I only had fat injected to the top of my butt, so sitting has always been fine. My doctor said that when you sit, the pressure is on your thighs, not your butt, so I didn't have to worry about it. I don't know where all your doc is going to be injecting though, so it may be different for you. I'm doing really well now, the first week was rough, second wasn't too bad, and now I feel almost all better. I'd say I'm at 90%. It's good you got so much time off, it will be good for you to take it easy!!!
How are you?!!!!!!! I ran across your page again!!! Lol Any new updates:)
Hey girl! Feeling great and results are starting to show a little bit. Still very swollen but will post pics soon. How's your search going? You should go see Dr. Ethridge in Ft. Worth. His prices are reasonable and he and his staff are amazing.
Hi jen!! How r u, hope all is going well for u :)
I'm doing well- saw my surgeon today and he said I look good. I'm taking his word for it because I don't think I look any different. Do you like the vadette garment? I'm thinking about getting one- you look so good! I'm so happy your results are showin already!!!
Hey girl! Thks so much, yes I am very happy with results... my doc office gives me lots of after care; with draining, ultrasounds and carboxy treatments it has really helped to transform my body... I'm not sure about that vadette garment... I tightens the top of my waist but not the bottom so I kept it on for like 3 hours then I had to take it off, not to mention it was soooo thight. I got a new garmet today size small from the doc office, very tight but more comfortable. I will ask them the name of the garment for you so you can get one. I m suppose to wear it for 3 months 24hrs and then for 3 more months 12hrs... Gonna be a hot summer!!! lol Awww im sorry to hear about not seeing results sometimes it takes longer without the aftercare (that what my doc said..)
Hey Jen! Ok so the garmet I'm using is called M & D fajas colombianas, they have a website www.fajasmyd.com.co but that's in columbia but I googles it and I saw they have u.s places u can purchase from... Girl I just got a medium black n they are soooo body forming you ll love it. I didn't even get my butt done n it looks huge in the garmet! Lol Hope u try it!
Thanks girl! I'll have to order one!

One week post op! The bruising has gotten much better (I totally give credit to arnica montana- use the oral pellets and the gel!), but I'm still very swollen. I have noticed a small change in my abdomen area as a result from the lipo, but because of the swelling I haven't noticed any other difference in my body shape. I had my post-op appointment yesterday and my doctor told me that he harvested as much fat as he safely could (approximately 500cc's) and that my abdomen area was empty. He said he took a lot from my hips and lower back area too but that until the swelling went down, I probably wouldn't notice much difference. He did assure me that while I was on the operating table, before I started to swell, I looked great and that I'll be happy with the results. Looking forward to that day!
I'm still feeling quite a bit of pain. Mostly in my hips and sides, especially when I stand up. Also, it sometimes feels like my skin is tearing from the inside if I move a certain way or if I move suddenly. Dr. Ethridge says that's due to my tissues reconnecting and that even though it hurts and feels like something is splitting, it's fine and I'm not actually hurting myself.

That's the wrist part I bet! Waiting for the results! Lol
Yes!!!! The lipo is starting to show but I'm excited about my booty!!!
Hi hun, can't wait to see ur pics! My doc told me I can't have any salt or suger after my sx so the swelling would go down faster. .. R u planning on getting any massages? Do you have drains?
Yeah, eating healthy is important but I didn't have an appetite for the first few days after sx and when it came back all I want is salty foods! Trying to be good though, lol. I don't have drains (thankfully) and I haven't looked into massage but I'm thinking about it.

Day one- I'm so swollen I think I actually look bigger than I did before! Lots of bruising on my butt, not as much on my sides and stomach as I thought there would be. Can't wait for the swelling to go down so I can see a difference. It hurts to get up and I can't stand straight, but lying down and sitting up in a chair is comfortable.

Glad to hear your surgery went well. The past two days have been pretty rough for me. I just finished my first massage though, and now feel like a new person! I know what you mean about being swollen. I feel like I look like I'm 4 months pregnant again! Looking forward to seeing your after pics. Talk soon!
Eek! The idea of a massage is so scary to me right now! I could barely stand rubbing the arnica gel on my bruised and swollen areas! I'm glad it gave you some relief though. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have instant results! I'll be checking in on you to see how you're doing :-)
Yay!!!! Can't wait for some post op pics!!!!!!!! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
