I am married, 36 years old and 180 pounds. I have gained and lost weight over the years but did not become serious about keeping it offer until a hypertension diagnosis last year. May doctor said I need to get my diet and exercise under control or possibly have a stroke. At that time I was at 210 pounds, the heaviest I had ever been. So I jumped into action and have got down to my current 180. I have always been proud of my breasts 38 DDD, but with the weight gain and loss over the years the girls have started to sag. I want them to have their natural lift back. So I will be having a lift only with no implants. My doctor says that I have plenty of volume so implants are not necessary. I’m a little worried about having a scar but I heard it fades over time. I have also been looking for a post op Bra. Everyone says Wal-Mart or Target but I have not seen any front clasping sports bras in a DDD! If anyone has any suggestions please share. I am also super excited about the liposuction on my abdominal and flanks. I have always been kind of square shaped so I’m hoping for a curvier end result.

Dr. Heistein and his staff have been great so far. They are all very nice and organized. Several of my friends have had successful procedures by him so I am confident I will have a positive result also.

Congrats on your weightloss! I had a lift with implants on April 17 of this year. I was a 38DD before surgery. I was like you,had children & my boobs where never the same. My boobs have always been large and sagged bad after my first child. My doctor said I had plenty of breast tissue to only have a lift. I chose implants for the curves & fullness. I'm now a 38DDD. I'm a little larger than I was but I'm fine with that. I've had a hard time finding bra's since surgery. I've still not found the "right one"! Hope you don't mind me asking, what kind of bra do you wear now? I love my new girls & I know you will too! If you have any questions just ask! Good Luck

Wow, sounds like you're on an amazing journey to get control of your life and feel good about yourself! Will you have someone to help you during your recovery? It's nice you won't even need implants. I wouldn't worry about some small scars....it will be totally worth it. ;) Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf!
