So I have been saving and wanting to get this fat transferred from my stomach and love handles into my bottom. I don't really know where to go around here. I have read a lot of reviews from people and I am stuck on getting this done. I just don't know where to go. So far it seems people who are unsatisfied didn't get enough cc's put in or didn't go to a good doctor or half of the butt they paid for disappeared. How do I know I wont have that happen? What are some good questions to ask a doctor?

Someone recommended a doctor named Rick Smith in Lansing. I called and they gave me a quote of $4500.00. At first I thought that was a little cheap and we get what we pay for but when I look at everyone's price and how they felt after, that doesn't seem to be the case. I have less than a month to find someone. I want this done in between quarters at school. Even if I don't hear from anyone I do plan to get consultations from a few doctors and hopefully I find someone. When I get this done, I will post pics. Thanks!

He was really nice and actually did more than he quoted me for. He was only going to do my upper and lower abdomen, hips, and flanks. He did all that and my back and thighs. Very nice and professional.

I'd suggest you look for a board certified plastic surgeon in your area, and if they don't offer the procedure, ask them for suggested experts in the procedure in Michigan -- you may have to travel for this one.

So I went for my consultation today and was quoted $6,700. He suggested a horseshoe tummy tuck which is supposed to be a thicker scar but not as big across, lipo, and the fat transfer to my butt. Excited. I'm going to go for it! I went and talked to Dr. Colony in Lansing. Tuesday I fill out the paperwork for the cost. I'm financing it. The day I go in is December 14th which sucks because I'm going to be really sore for Christmas but the 7th was full. Wish me luck!

I don't know if your doctor told you this but my doctor said that usually only 40% of the fat they inject retains. Good luck !!!

He didn't say that but I read about it. Thanks! I hate that it wont because he already said that I didn't have enough fat to get the butt I want already.

good luck to you!! i read your post because i am badly wanting a tummy tuck, just wondering price wise was he in the high or lower range in mi? please keep posted how your surgery goes!

I think his price was reasonable. Since I'm going to get liposuction and fat transfer I got it for a GREAT price. The breakdown of my costs;

Liposuction Three areas $2,800.00
Fat Transfer to Buttocks $1,000.00
Abdominoplasty $1,000.00
Opertating Room $1,050.00
Anesthesia $1,050.00

The mini tummy tuck is supposed to be the size of a c-section scar, which I've had 2 c-sections already so going in the same spot is like having the same scar.

He has a website if you want to check it out and see some of his work. He seems really nice and down to earth. He stayed and talked to me to answer ALL of my questions, which were a lot. I hope I get some great results. I'll post pictures a couple days after so you can see before and after and then post some later when I heal more.

wow I think that is very reasonable, i have asked around and heard great things about dr. colony, I have an apt with him on dec 13th for consult! i have had 4 c sections and got my tubes tied after my last, Now its time for me, i have lost all my weight, and i want this xtra skin OFF,:)well I wish you the best of luck, how exciting!! keep me posted on how it goes.

Also what is a horseshoe t.t.? is that a mimi? and if so do you keep your belly button?

From what they told me I have a C-section scar from my kids and they will cut in that spot about the same size and then imagine a upside down 'U' or as they call it 'horseshoe' that is connected. They cut that skin off and connect the rest. It is considered a mini. They don't reposition my belly button. Which is a good thing because I didn't want that. I have to admit that I'm getting really scared! What if I don't wake up??? I know I sound crazy lmao.

OMG! you sound JUST like me! i am not scared of the surgery,pain after, or recovory, just of being "put under" it scares the hell out of me to cause i think i wont wake up, soooo. i looked up stories and advice about being afraid of general anest. and i feel better, from what i hear it is very relaxing and all the parts of it that u think will scare u you wont even be awake for, i read that just before you go under they give you something in your i.v. to relax you and people say it feels great and makes you no longer scared or nervous about the general anest., also that you dont dream, and it feels like your only out for 20 min., you go to sleep and next thing you know the O.R. staff are waking you up. As my consult date is getting closer i have been worried sick of the same thing! did they tell you how long your surgery will be? and good luck to you! also i told them u refferd me.

They said it will last about 3 1/2 hours and then I go to the recovery room for an hour and be sent home. I come back in 2 days which sucks because I'm going to be in so much pain I'm sure. I live in Flint and don't really feel like riding that far. I went in yesterday and passed my nicotine test so everything is good to go for Tuesday! They gave me a patch to put behind my ear the day before so I wont throw up and some other pills to keep me from vomiting lol (nice lmfao). I swear I am so nervous though. It is DAYS away!!!!! I just can't wait to get it over with and walk normal and be pain free. I keep telling myself it is worth it.

so i went for my cosult. I must say D.R. Colony made me feel very comfortable, he was patient and listend to ALL my questions and concerns. I am going to get a FULL tummy tuck,lipo on hips, flanks, and fat transfer to my butt, I was quoted 8,400, I think that is a good price considering he is board certified and very educated.
I have my money saved now i just have to get with my job and find out when i can take time off, i am thinking i will do my surgery in Febuary.

That's awesome!! He is very nice and I really liked him as well. That's not a bad price for the full tummy tuck. Is he moving your belly button? TOMORROW IS MY BIG DAY!!!! I am so freaking scared!!! lmao!! Probably wont hear from me for a couple of days.

yeah he is moving my belly button, but im okay w it cause all my stretch marks are bellow it so thats a bonus, let me know if after feels like a c section or worse, i will be thinking of you tomorrow, you will do great, just think about this summer and how great your gonna feel and look, keep in touch!
