3.5 weeks out

by day 9 the pain was pretty much gone. The week after that I actually enjoyed the strange tingly feelings and would rub my belly to enhance it. It's been 3.5 weeks now. Sensation is almost normal. Sometimes it feels a little bit tingly, especially during and after jogging. Can't see any results yet. If nothing else it keeps me from eating chips and cookies. It cost me $2600 for one session on 4 sections of my belly. So it took about 4 hours because they do one section at a time. I'll let you know if there are any results...God I hope so!

really hope it's worth it

Pain was so intense last night that I couldn't fall asleep. Took an ibuprofen and fell asleep an hour or so later. Woke up several times to stabbing, burning pain. Feels like rug burn that goes from skin to 2" deep. mixed with stabbing sensations. Skin is very sensitive. Doesn't like any touch, even clothing. Not sure why I'm having such a bad reaction when so many people say for them it was fine. I hope the discomfort goes away soon! It's been a week and my belly is still swollen.

First minute that device is suctioned on is a bit...

First minute that device is suctioned on is a bit scary. First 5-10 minutes extremely uncomfortable, I kept wondering if I had made a mistake. Then it goes numb and the rest of the hour is tolerable. After procedure belly was numb and felt strange. Immediately huge swollen. Looked pregnant again. Next 4 days ranged from totally fine, to pins and needles, to achy bloated. Felt more like the abdominal muscles were bruised. Day 5 now and the pain got much worse. Went from feeling deep in the muscles to closer to the surface. Surprisingly my lower ribs feel bruised and hurt more than my belly, even though the device was much lower. Went from pins and needles to knife stabbing. Skin is super sensitive and even my clothing is aggravating it. I can't believe how much it can hurt. I'm not a wimp. Covered in tattoos and had 3 babies, all 9-10 lb.s without any drugs or epidural. Just sayin'. Knowing what I know about anatomy my theory is that cool sculpt damages the fascia that connects the abdominal aponeurosis to the fatty layer of adipose tissue above. That's what this aweful sensation feels like. Fascia changes texture qualities with temperature. Being so cold for an hour while simultaneously being pulled on really hard probably rips the connective tissue away and shreds it. That would explain why my lower ribs hurt so bad. The abdominal aponeurosis attaches there. And fascia is rich in nociceptors/ pain sensory receptors. If you just google search images of the abdominal layers you can see what I'm talking about. They claim that no other cells are damaged with procedure besides fat cells. Impossible! I just hope all this pain and the huge chunk of change are worth the results. I was told that one session at best could remove up to 22 % of the fat cells. For $2600 I should have just hired a personal trainer!

Very nice office and staff. Friendly, clean, no complaints about place or personnel. I think my body is just reacting worse that normal for some reason.
