Belly button revision and 6 month post tt photos

Finally got around to it. Belly button is doing ok (touch wood ;) ) Main scar is so so, some days it looks better than others. PS doesn't seem thrilled by how it has widened but I know that my body takes a while to recover from scarring so I am hanging in there.
Still numb in triangular section from bb to main tt incision, still get slight swelling in that area too, but nothing major. Life is back to normal lol, with the one exception, for some reason I have not returned to sleeping on my stomach. I don't know why (had always slept this way) am quite ok laying on stomach just can't sleep that way any more(?)

Sorry I wasn't saying yours is lol I just find it strange when u look at the belly button coz it's new it's like it's not yours! (Mine) if u get my drift lol x

I know what you mean Kerry:) To be honest I never felt it really looked much different post op until it decided to shrink on me. Sometimes I think that it maybe looks slightly small but that could just be because pre operation it was all squiggy lol.Really need to seriously get into exercising again but I keep finding excuses(bb revision, Xmas etc ;)) Hope your healing is coming on well and that youhaven't any regrets xx
December 8, 2014
Hi camelina all Healing really well thankyou and defo no regrets x I'm booked in my gym on 9th jan I'm looking forward to getting back on it xx Hope your well xx

Looks terrific! From the distance you've taken the photo it looks completely natural. Really good. Your scar looks fine to me but I may be comparing it to my red 3 week old one. Did your surgeon suggest you use silicon treatment on it in the end if he wasn't happy with the healing?
December 9, 2014
All scars look better when you compare them to the ones that have started to mature into that lovely shade of red;) PS not advocate of silicon treatment, he said I could use it if I wanted but massage the way to go. I have bought a small tube Dermatix for bb though to try and help it and funnily enough I didn't't massage it (bb) for months the first time around (too squeamish) perhaps if I had it wouldn't' have closed(?) I know that scars take a while to fade on me so the wait will go on lol.

PS you'd look great in a bikini! ;-)

Lol don't know if I'd dare to:(

you look great! I love how your bb looks now, it looks normal and not like the typical tummy tuck bb some ladies have. I'm hoping mine comes out round and not slotted or tiny. Your scar is so nice, very thin and low... you are everybody's wish results...lol!! I'm so happy for you!! :o)

I am happy with how bb looks shapewise although sometimes think it looks too small.Did ask ps about using a marble this time but he was against it as he said it could make bb too big. Thank you for your nice comments. Your turn next!!!:)

YW!! I think a marble might be too big, but how about those foam ear plugs that come in separate sealed individual bags? I read somewhere that you can put those in because they are somewhat sterile, and they are squishy so it won't make the bb too big and round, more oval. What do you think?
December 9, 2014
I did try some of those the first time around (pinched some off of son as he uses them when he has been on nights) Guess it could be worth another go xx

Great to read a review that goes to 7 months - you look great - from your pics we have similar shape body I think. How is your Bob now? Everyone seemed to have neat ones but mine has a scar ring around it - trying to widen it with a pearl so it looks as normal as possible x

Inverted triangle with long legs(?) and in my case relatively short body with next to no waist lol, checked out your photos again and you def have a waist there!! BB has healed well, although I do find that if I leave the ear plug out for a day or two the scar does tighten up, so back in it goes. The PS's all have different methods on how they do their bb's, tbh it wasn't really something I had ever thought about and as I am pretty squeamish about them anyway I would have said that I wouldn't have been bothered if I didn't have one until........ it started closing up (say no more;) I will take some more photos in the next few days as I am a couple of days off being 1 year post op :) xx

2nd time lucky (?)

Camelina
Stitches removed today after belly button revision.General shape is how it was first-time around although it looks quite red, I guess a mixture of old scarring and new. Now the waiting begins (again) to see if it is going to be well behaved and heal nicely or whether it's going to go into overdrive and close up again.
Will post photos as soon as able.

bb revision carried out

Camelina
Went in this afternoon for my revision. Felt quite strange as the routine was the same as before despite only having a local anaesthetic. Given a room, theatre gown, dressing gown, slippers and those awful string pants again. Blood pressure, temperature taken, asked about allergies, next of kin info etc. Mr Platt came in and took before photos again and briefly discussed procedure and I signed consent form.

I walked down to theatre, where I was asked to get onto a trolley and was wheeled into the operating room, the bb area cleansed and draped with theatre sheets, initially part of the sheeting was raised to obscure my view but surgeon felt that was too claustrophobic for me so it was lowered.

He injected local anaesthetic and proceeded with the revision. Felt a bit tugging and was aware of him stitching but equallly didn't feel it. Was chatting away with the theatre staff throughout. Afterwards I was taken back to my room onthe trolley and given a drink alight lunch, obs were done and then I was allowed to leave.
When I do a dressing change I will take a photo but I assume it will look much the same as they all look immediately post op for a tt. Stitches will be removed in 2 weeks. There is no guarantee that it will not close up again, but they are going to keep a watchful eye on it.
Ps also mentioned that my tt scar wasn't as good as he expected, I guess that will be a 'wait and see' job.He thinks it is too wide and lumpy.

Thanks guys:) Getting paranoid about my main tt scar now lol.I honestly didn't' think it was bad! Bb area tender, but not sore and just ever so slightly swollen. Guess it will be a couple of months before I know true outcome as it was a few months before it closed last time. Oh and back to strip washes until stitches out!!
