TT W/ Lipo and Breast Lift in Texas - El Paso, TX

I am 31 years old. I am a size 10 and weigh 170 lbs. I have been working out since I was a teenager. I was a size 4/5 before I had my two children. During my early twenties I was a dedicated gym member and weight lifted and did cardio exercise. After I had my first child I continued to do the same type of training. I never went back to a size 5! I remained a size 10 regardless of what I did. I had my second child and now I am back on the same boat...a size 10. I am scheduled for a tummy tuck and a breast lift on May 27.

I am excited, nervous, terrified, and everything in between! I was wondering if anyone has had the two surgeries together? I am afraid of the pain, but I had a c-section with my second child. I hope I will be fine. I am taking my vitamins that were given to me by my doctor, and I will begin taking bromelin 3 days before surgery. I hope all these little things help me to heal. They were all prescribed by my PS.

It's four days until the big day! I am still very nervous. I am trying to tie up any loose ends here at hope. I've made arrangements for family members to assist me with my children. I am a grad student too, and I'm trying to read ahead for my summer course. I'm sure the first five days will be a blur. I hope I can recover smoothly because I want to be fine for my son's 1st birthday party on June 25th. In the meantime, I dream about being pretty again! lol

I am told that the surgery will take 7 hours! Is this normal? Has anyone else had such a long procedure?

Well it's two days until my procedure and I still do not have a time. I want to plan the day for my kids. I need the information. Other than that I'm excited about it, and nervous about the outcome and recovery.

It is one day before surgery. I'm really nervous now. I called to ask if I would be staying the night, and the MA said no. I asked if she knew what the estimated time the surgery will be, and she asked me what the doctor told me. She was kind of rude. I let her know that I only met the Dr. during my initial consultation 3 months ago. I haven't seen him since! I just needed to ask those questions. Well, I hope I see him before surgery to ask him a few other questions I have. I thought I was going to see him the day I went in for photos. Well, wish me luck!

It's the day after my surgery. Everything went well. I can't walk upright yet but I am walking. Pain is manageable. Just wish I could sleep in my bed. Taking my bromeline to reduce swelling.

Three days PO. I feel better. I am close to walking upright but I still walk a little hunched over. I have a lot of help with my 11month old thanks to my family. I can see the results and it looks great. My boobs are so perky! They look big due to the swelling. My tummy is flatter than ever but everything looks proportional to the rest of my body.

I had my PO appt today. I was hoping the drains would be taken out, butmy PS said there's still a lot of drainage. On a good note, he allowed me to shower today! At four days post op my PS advised me to start walking upright for my back's sake. I have been trying but it feels so strange and tight! I forgot to mention the numbness of my right leg. I wonder if it's normal. Ian going to sleep in my bed for the first time tonight! Sleeping on my recliner is hard on my neck and my bottom from the long hours of sitting in it.

I went out to the Super Target to buy groceries. My mom went with me so that I did not have to carry things. I'm feeling better, but I have a very tender spot on my lower back that hurts a lot when I am on my feet too long. I'm not sure if this is normal. It may be due to the lipo done on my back. I also have a numb right quadriceps. My PO said my nerve endings around my incision are still mending. It's getting better, but it's still bothers me a bit.

Hi! How are you feeling? I am so curious how you will feel one month post-op for your son's birthday party! I, too, have an event one month post-op, so I'm gonna "watch" and see how you do! :)

Was your surgery 7 hours? Mine is supposed to take 5 (with hernia repair), but I was curious if your "projected" time was close to the "real" time it took?

DO you have post-op pics yet? I would love to see some! :)

Hi! I hope I will be ready for the party too! So far so good. the incisions do not hurt anymore from either my tuck or my breast lift. I have tenderness on my lower back, and that is what bothers me the most. My surgery was 4 and 1/2 hours. The day I checked in they told me that would be the actual time I would be under. I was so relieved! I uploaded some after pics for you :)

I'm 18 days PO. I had an appointment with my PS. Everything is looking better everyday! My leg is slowly getting better, and my back does not hurt as much. I still have to make myself stand up straight. It does not hurt to do so, but the tightness makes me bend forward without even knowing it. I'm pain free these days, and I'm taking care of my two children on my own. I try not to carry my 11 mo. old son unless it's necessary. I want to give myself another week to truly heal. My Dr. said I can start low impact exercise. I'll start walking to help get strong again. I'm vary happy I did this for myself!

I'm at my 4 week mark, and I am feeling back to normal. I hosted my son's 1st birthday party, and I was feeling great. I got a lot of compliments on my new look. Of course, I did not disclose my surgical secret. lol I worked out today for the first time. I usually do dance cardio from Tracy Anderson. I only did one dance, while I adjust to moving like that again. I was nervous about my breast. I'm afraid my breast will start to sag again! I need to go buy a tighter bra. My breast are so perky and full that I do not want to ruin my results. On another note, I'm not sure if I have lost a size. My jeans feel somewhat loose, but I'm not sure if I can go down a size. I'll wait a couple of weeks to shop for new clothes. I really hope I am at least one size smaller.

I am 11 1/2 weeks post op. I feel well, and I look great. I'm very happy with my results. I was worried about symmetry, and the appearance of my belly button. I am very happy that I have no problems with either one. The recovery was smooth. I have a few sensitive spots in my lower back from the lipo, but they are almost gone. I just noticed two days ago that my belly button piercing is gone! I got that piercing when I was 19 yrs old, and the scar looked really bad. I'm glad that's gone, but I felt silly that I had just realized it.lol My c-section scar is also gone. The incisions are still red but they are healing well. I was worried about the vertical incision on my breast, but it is hardly noticeable. I am back to my usual activities. I am able to do high intensive aerobic workouts, and everything in between. I will post new pics tonight.
