Northern Girl, you look adorable! What a change, and I mean it. Your surgeon did a great job, and hounds uh minimal bruising that you must be super healthy. I am so happy for you!

Wow! What a difference!! You look fabulous, NG! I'm just beginning my journey and I'm curious ~ did you tell your friends and family before you had your surgery? If you didn't, they would HAVE to notice with the dramatic results you got. So, in general, what was their response to you having the work done? I definitly want to "freshen" my face, but I'm concerned how the people in my life will feel and act toward me for doing it. I live in a small, Bible-belt town in NE Texas with the inevitable odd mix of vicious gossip and Christian values.

Hello, I realize you posted several months ago, but saw that no one had yet responded. You asked a valid and interesting question, that I totally understand. I guess the bottom line for me is that if you are truly happy with how you feel about your decision, even if the final results are not exactly perfect!, then that is all that matters. Folks who cannot get past your "new" look probably could not get past any mistakes you have made in the past, either. Just feel good about yourself and know that if each person with a negative response could do the same thing and improve their features to better match who they really are, they probably would. Of course, many of those people who are so mean and negative probably would still look that way after a procedure!..... just kidding, well sort of! :) As I wrote in the above post: "Honestly, I feel as though when our face sags and we look unhappy all the time, unless that is really how we feel about everything, then the sagging face is really the artificial look, not the improved one."

Before I had a breast lift and tummy tuck I was completely paranoid that people around me would be judgemental. They weren't! It was surprising and liberating. I thought I would be told I was being narcissistic since I am of average "normal" weight and my breasts were not "that bad". I am so happy I did it and the responses have been really positive. As I ease into my fifties, a short scar face lift is going to be on the table for sure, no apologies! We get one life

Thank you for sharing your experience! You have helped me take the next step, mostly because I love how natural your look is. Honestly, I feel as though when our face sags and we look unhappy all the time, unless that is really how we feel about everything, then the sagging face is really the artificial look, not the improved one. I can see you have a positive personality and I would say you probably look more like the real you now than before! You look great and it shows! Kind regards.

I'm getting there ... still puffy eyes but I haven't had a single day when I didn't feel GREAT. I had 30iu of Botox on forehead and between eye brows on my deep "III". Hopeful that will look better in a week or so :)

I have no complaints, no regrets. so far - so good. I choose a surgeon who's been doing this for 28 years... I figured he wouldn't be in business in the same location if he didn't know what he was doing. I was right. :)

I want to truly thank you for sharing your journey with all of us who are on our way to where you've been! I love your updates and pictures! Please keep them coming! You look amazing! And more so every day. I am thrilled to hear that you had so little pain and we're able to manage it with ice packs! You're kinda my hero ; -) . I too am a 'Northern girl's, from Minnesota, but moved to Georgia 5 years ago. When I moved here I had a few marionette lines above my lip. Since then.....my face (my chin and neck) has begun to slide so far and fast that I 've decided I will do something wonderful, for me and just for me. I am the type that does all the research on what's the best for my particular needs, what's new in the world of 'women's skin car's? Who does it really well? What does it cost and what do 'real' people's results really look like? You've been able to answer all of these questions for no doubt, thousands of women! Again, thank you! In a private message would you be willing to share the name of the doctor that you used? Thanks! Lindalee55811
