Initial Worries but I'm over the Moon - Doncaster, UK

For years since approximately the age of 32 I have tried every treatment under the sun for my sagging sun damaged neck and nothing ever worked. I have just had a mini lift 11 days ago and I am thrilled with the results. There is still a lot of healing to do and the initial few days were worse than I was expecting, (a lot more bruising and swelling).

THIS IS SURGERY and what you go through needs to be thought out and the right consultant needs to be sourced. One week is not enough for recovery in my opinion and you require at least 11 to 14 days off from work especially if you don't want anyone to know what you have had done. I am 100 percent confident my scars will heal but there is still a lot of healing to do, I am still quite swollen and still feel numb on both sides of my face and have fading bruises on my neck.

The results are amazing my neck is so lifted it looks like I have had a neck lift, it is still early days and due to the swelling this may relax somewhat.
I have followed the routine and procedures to the letter. I have worn my chin garment for the first week almost continuously and now only wear it at night and to sleep in, which I will continue to do for a month after surgery. I am sleeping elevated and on my back,(not easy when you are a side sleeper) but I have got used to it and will continue to do so for a month. I have used arnica 30's tablets prior and after the operation and am using arnica cream for the bruising which is excellent. I have also bought some scar esthetique to help with the scars. I have drunk plenty pf water and nearly cut out caffine and alcohol as this encourages bloating.
My husband was dead against me having this done but he has to admit I look 10 years younger.
Think carefully, do your research and choose a competent consultant.

I am looking for a vaser surgeon possibly in the UK,as I had traditional lipo back in 2011. I was never fat and my skin was solid and not flabby,as I was an athlete when I was younger and seriously exercised through adulthood..But having my four children had obviously took it's toll on my ab muscles. I have no issues anywhere else, except for the protruding tummy :-(..Its maddening,as I do my sit ups every day and cardio, small weights 3 times a week, but still I cannot shift the unhappy tummy! It seems to be stuck there. I do not really want to go down the tummy tuck route because of the scaring and I don't think having more trad lipo will solve it,I was told by the surgeon that it may cause potential rippling,I don't know though,he didn't explain it very well...I left the post op consult very frustrated and a bit peed off with him. Maybe I could have the vaser,as I hear it is different and takes deep fat away, which could?? solve my tummy problem. I have consulted a very good vaser Dr in Poland, but was charged £2600,I don't think they understood my concerns and that I only wanted one area done,as the cost seemed a little too high for Poland maybe??Adding the flight and hotel costs I feel that I was not going to save much,so I am now back to looking in the UK. Has anyone got/had the same problem as me and what did you pay?

Sounds great! I too, am swelled up, had a lot of loose skin on my neck and lower face (I am 59) but did the s lift that lifted my neck up. I love my neck now, hope it stays this way;) I have big cheeks though, tell me, when did your swelling subside? My doctor says it is much better, but it is hard for me to tell. I think it is a little better....I am on day 5

the major swelling went down after two weeks but I am still quite lumpy around the scar line especially behind my right ear. My neck has relaxed somewhat but is still better than it was originally.
