Mommy Makeover: Stories

Hello Ladies! Ive been stalking RS for a couple weeks now and have decided to share my story with you all! I really enjoy seeing how supportive you ladies are!

I am 22 years old with two beautiful young children 19months and 3months old! my body type has always been very thin...i am 5'7 with my lowest weight being 119lbs pre-pregnancy and i am currently 130lbs which is a healthy weight for my size! because i was so thin before i had my children they gave me hideous stretchmarks on my stomach, hip, and buttocks and very loose skin on my tummy! i am half African american so my stretchmarks scarred a dark brown color. i am happy to say that the stretchmarks have improved 80% by using TAC chemical peel and using an exfoliation technique which i will continue to do after Sx...anyways ive been searching long and hard for a surgeon and Yily has yielded the results i desire so bad! i love that hourglass look that she is so good at! i am a little nervous going out the country alone but hey i think it will be worth it! I emailed Yily yesterday with some pictures and requesting a quote. i heard it takes a week or so for her to get back to you...ugh..the anticipation is killing me! I read on RS that i can PayPal her the deposit and email her my Sx date..is this true? the price isnt really an issue so maybe i should just go ahead and send the deposit?

when i was pregnant my butt got huge! i loved it! so did hubby lol....=) but now that i lost the baby weight my butt has a little sag to it because of the loose skin now...ugh...what our beautiful children do to us...lol...i desire a plump butt and fuller hips and im sure Yily can meet my expectations!

im a little worried i dont have enough fat on my transfer to my butt!!! any thin women out there have any advice or their experience to share?

if any of you ladies have any info on what steps i should take to contact Yily about scheduling a Sx date please let me know! i want to go end of May or first week in June! i am also looking for a Sx buddy for a discount and share a Recover Room with! =) send me a message if you are interested! i live in louisiana so if any of you ladies are in the south and want to share a connecting flight to the DR so we can get to know each other that would be nice too!

so i got my quote today from Yily! it only took her about 3days to respond! i sent it in Spanish and English! this is what she quoted me:

The price for Tummy Tuck, fat grafting to buttock, BBL, liposuction of abdomen, armpit, back, flanks, waist is 3.900$USD. It also includes 1 compression garment, pre-operatory tests (TTP, HIV, Hbs, HCV, BASAL GLYCEMIA, GLYCEMIA, UREA, SERUM CREATININE, FULL BLOOD COUNT, VDRL, BLOOD TYPE Y RH), cardiologist (EKG), anesthesiologist (epidural block), clinic fees (room, operating room, nurses, IVs, 3 meals, surgical assistants, etc).

in my opinion i do not need lipo of the waist, back, or arm pits. i dont even have any fat to harvest from those areas!!!!i would be pointless incisions.! so i emailed her back and asked for a revised quote! i also asked her how much extra for my boobs! i will be posting some more pre-op pics soon to show you what i mean about not needing/wanting lipo in those other areas!

So I sent my deposit today through Yilys Chase acct! I will be calling all day tomorrow to confirm she got it and lock in my date! Shooting for may 10th! I'm praying its open! I also applied for my Passport today! Super excited =) I feel I am just one step closer to the DR and my NEWBOOTY! Lol! I think I will start my list of things to bring! If you ladies have any item that you found extra handy please share! Also I've been trying to gain 10lbs before surgery! I'm consuming 3800 calories a day this includes my Serious Mass shake which is 2150 calories per shake! Hope I can pack on these lbs to add to my booty! =)

I've gained 4lbs! Yay me! And I'm starting to pack my bags! I know I'm not leaving for 7 weeks but my life is a little hectic with to young children so I'm starting now! Ill post a list of every thing I'm bringing later! I'm too excited! Still waiting on a response from Yily with my adjusted quote and to confirm she got my deposit! Wonder if they are open Saturdays... Maybe I should just call... Lol!

So I got my ticket to DR last night! $700 but that includes the 50$ insurance to change the flight if I need to! Just waiting on my roomie to book her ticket so we can book our room at the Recover House! Yay! DR here I come! Btw I've gained 5lbs eating my butt off! It's mostly going to my butt flanks and abdomen! 10-15 lbs to go before May 10th!

hello ladies! so ive been trying to pack on the pounds for my BBL and so far ive gained 7lbs in about 2 weeks! i have 5 weeks until sx so im hopeful that i will gain another 10 by then!!! just got to keep stuffing my face! lol! well i looked at the procedures im getting on YouTube! big mistake! lol! the worst part was the lipo! thank God im only getting it on my flanks and abdomen!

Im still waiting on my passport to get here. im guessing it will be here in another 2-3 weeks...anyways my bags are basically packed just need to see if i can get a script for my meds from my doc...i am too excited for my new body!

So the big day is coming fast!!! i think reality is finally setting in! im trying to get an earlier date but im reluctant to change my ticket because my passport isnt here yet! im scheduled for May 10th and returning the 17th...my hubby is an amateur MMA fighter and has a fight on the 18th!! i want to have SX earlier so i can attend his fight and not be in a extreme amount of pain! i havent missed one yet! plus lots of fans love to hug you after the fights and i dont want to wince every time someone goes to hug me...lol... as soon as my passport gets here im going to email Yily for an earlier date if everything isnt booked! praying everything works out! waiting to become a Yily Doll =)

BTW im up 8lbs! 7 more to go!

I can't believe that I leave in less than a month! This is so exciting!!! Still trying to pack on the lbs for my BBL! Seems like I've been stuck at 135 for ever... And suggestions? On a good note I got my passport in the mail! It only took 3 weeks!!! Can't wait to get on with my journey to the new me! Bags are packed and everything just need to get my test done and my prescriptions and ill be set! May hurry and get here! Lol

18 days until Sx with Yily! I'm so anxious to get out there and get this done! I think I've finally found my perfect wish pics so I'm going to take down the old ones and add new pre op pics because I've gained 10lbs for sx! Thanks to all the Yily vets for posting such informative stories and pre/post op pics! All of is future Yily dolls really appreciate it!

I can't believe I leave in less then 2 weeks! This is getting intense! I have everything packed! Just waiting til the last day to put my everyday items in there like hairbrush and what not....I'm so thankful to have a great sx buddy who's down to earth... I'm sure we can make some kind of fun out of recovery! I want the lady's who are going next week to know that ill be praying for them! Fast healthy healing ladies!

Hey dolls! So todayI got all my tests done for sx next week! Get my results back Monday and leave to DR on Thursday! Kind of sad that I won't be home with my boys for Mother's Day but I look at this sx being the best gift ever! Everything is packed and ready to go! BTW because of the recent infection that took place (RH may be the culprit) my sx buddy and I decided to rent an apartments instead!

Last but not least I want to send my prayers to they Yily dolls who has sx this week! Praying for y'all a safe healthy journey!

Leaving to DR tomorrow morning!!! Yay!!! I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to do last min things! I thank god for my SX buddy! She is great!!! Make this journey a lot smoother when your buddied up with someone you click with! Sx is on Friday and Yira emailed me to confirm I was coming so everything is good on that end too!

I'm going to miss my babies soooo much... I know they are in good hands with daddy and grandma but I think ill have seperation anxiety lol... I spend almost every waking hour with them and it will be hard to adjust... I just hope this 10 days flies by with no complications! Pray for me y'all!

Quick update!!! I made it to the other side safely! Up during 90% of sx but no pain except during my back lipo... Must say my rack looks amazing in these bandages! Lol! Haven't seen by butt yet or TT! Tall to you when I get to Jacqueline's!

Boobies

So I got home yesterday... When I get the energy I will write a full review! But I love my results so far! I couldn't be more pleased... Btw... Came home with my drain but my doctor is taking it out for me Monday!!! And I was retaining alot of fluid in my lower back before I left so they had to stick a needle in there and withdraw 150cc of fluid with no numbing meds... Had to be the worst part of the trip... Lol... Any ways I'm posting a few more pics and ill post some nudies when I clean my bandages later! Thanks for all the support ladies!! :)

My new faja came! My small faja from Yily had no compression left lol... My new one is an Ann Cherry size small... Boy is it tight! And the fabric is much thicker and durable then the Merena brand from Yily! Also the garment makes my ass look like PADOW! Lol

Haven't wore a 2 piece in 3 years! I was too embarrassed of my stretchmarks and loose skin! Look at me now... Lol!

last pics until I'm 4weeks post op... Lol... I'm just picture crazy... I think I'm in shock... It just hitting me that I really just went to DR and got all this work done its surreal to me!

So I'm finally taking the time to write my review...yay! Lol... Here it goes:

So I leave Louisiana at 6am May 9th to Santo Domingo. I had a connecting flight in Atlanta with only a hour layover so the flight there wasn't bad at all. I get to DR at 1:30pm and my SX buddy is there waiting for me... Her flight had got in at 10:30 so she waited for me. I went through customs, exchanged 210$ for I believe 7,800 pesos ( more then enough for tipping) , picked up my luggage then went outside looking for Junior ( the driver from Jacqueline's spa). Junior was no where to be found!!! We called the spa, Yilys office and cellphone and no one answered! We called back to back for an hour and we started to get worried! There were plenty of taxi cabs outside the airport but I was very reluctant to take one for safety reasons! Finally it got to the point where we really didn't have a choice... Then we had the issue of trying to tell the cab driver where we were trying to go... I showed him the address to the spa but he ended up taking us to CIPLA instead! When we got there we went up to Yilys office where we met Yira... We told her that nobody from Jacqueline's picked us up from the airport! She apologized and then had us do our bloodwork and chest X-rays then, which worked out so we didn't have to do them the next morning. Over all the cleanliness of the office was decent... Nothing I wasn't accustom to seeing... I was born and raised in California and I've been living in Louisiana for 2 1/2 years now... Mind you the state of Louisiana is about 15 years behind compared to states like NY or CA... The doctors offices out here in louisiana don't have state of the art technology and are not spick and span but they get the job done. Same goes for the doctors in DR. Their devices and surgical instruments may not be space age technology but it works the way it's suppose to... Hell I was more scared at the surgeon office in Louisiana when I had to get a hemorrhoid drained then I was out in DR! The surgical tools he was using looked like they was from the 1800's no lie lol!!! But anyways if your only use to doctor offices in major cities with top of the line technology then you may be skeptical when you reach DR.

Anyways.... After our bloodwork was done Yira called Junior to come
Get us and we made our way to the spa... When we got there they offered us food and some ice tea... We originally planned to stay only 4 nights at the recovery house and the rest of the time at an apartment. We paid Jacqueline for our nights then she informed us that the double bed rooms were full so me and my sx buddy would have to share a king size bed and we would get half off for that night... We agreed and the bed was comfy lol... I must say that the food at the spa was delicious! I would fly back just for the food! And the staff was nice! Ana was the main nurse there and spoke the most English... She was soooo sweet and helpful! All the staff was helpful in my opinion!

The next day we got to Cipla at around 7am... There was 4 of us having surgery that day and I had spoken to the other 2 girls via real self prior to going to DR... They were very sweet girls and the 4 of us had no conflicts of personalities so it was awesome! The other 2 girls had to get their blood work and stuff done and my sx buddy and I still needed our EKGs... We got all that taken care of within a hour then we filled out some paper work about our medical history and that's when miss Highsadiddy walked in with her mom and I couldn't stop staring at her ass! Lol I kind of figured that was her because I seen her walk in with her mom and I'd been following her blog on Realself so I introduced myself and even got to see mamas tummy tuck scar up close and personal which relieved some of my anxiety because it looked beautiful! Lol... After that Yira had some demo implants for me to look at... I shoved the big one in my shirt and asked the other girls how it looked... They all agreed it was a good fit so I told Yira I wanted them.... After a lil bit of waiting on the other girls to finish their paperwork Yira asked who was first and I spoke up... At that point I just wanted it to be over with! Lol... Yira showed me to my room and set down a surgery robe and hair net with a stack of chux and my little blue pill taped to it... I changed my clothes and took my pill then a few mins later Yily was there to mark me up... I pulled out my wish pics ( the ones posted on my profile) and she looked at them and told Yira to tell me she will do her best but I don't have much fat. I told Yily I WANT HIPS FIRST THEN BUTT... This was because I already had some butt before sx.... She said ok... She pinched my back fat a little and squeezed the skin on my stomach... Then she told me that SHE WILL TAKE THE FAT FROM MY BACK AND USE IT FOR MY BUTT..... She then told me she WILL NOT LIPO MY STOMACH... Remember I was thin before sx and gained 12lbs just for the fat transfer... I told Yily that was fine and to do her thing... She said ok gave me a hug and left the room... I layed on the bed for what could of been 15-30 mins... The blue pill had me woozy... Lol... That's when they came in to wheel me off to the OR!

here's the rest!....
Once I got to the OR I remember seeing that the room was this hideous green color and it was freezing in there! I assume it was so cold to reduce germs... Anyways I remember the anesthesiologist setting up my iv and pulling me upright to get my epidural... About half way through the motion of sitting up for the epidural I was out of it... I remember collapsing into the arms of the nurse infront of me... Lol... Next thing I know I'm laying on my stomach feeling the liposuction on my back... It didn't hurt but there was pressure especially at the top part of my back I remember saying OUCH and that I was cold... I also was yelling HIPs HIPs I guess to remind her I wanted hips lol! I was awake about 90% of the surgery... I was just laying there looking around ( they did have a sheet up so I couldn't actually see what was going on... But I did know when she was on my tummy tuck and she did my breast last... Next thing I know I'm in my room starving to death lol... I seen my sx buddy and she told me that her hemoglobin was too low to get surgery so she was going to get a transfusion and go in the morning... It was unfortunate for her but it was such a blessing to me because she helped me out sooooo much that first night... I honestly don't think I could have done it without her! She fed me my soup, gave me my pain meds, called for the nurse when I needed them, made sure my blankets were on and I was comfy... Omg I couldn't be more thankful for her help! She's an angel!!!! I had a reaction to the epidural which wasn't a surprise because the same thing happened to me during childbirth but this was 100x worse... I would shake uncontrollably like I was freezing to death... My body was shaking and my teeth were chattering for about 7 hours after sx and it was sooo aggravating because all I wanted to do was sleep! Once the shaking stopped the bear hug sensation came! Yily vets know what I'm talking about... They bound my stomach in dressings after sx and it felt so tight as if my ribs were being crushed! It was the 2nd most painful part of this process! I slept maybe 3 hours that night because of the sensation that my ribs were being crushed by a steam roller! That first night at CIPLA had to be the worst night ever! I was dying to get back to the spa...

Then next day the nurse came in and emptied my drain and pee bag and brought me some broth to eat... At around 9 Yily came in and I told her the bandages around my ribs were crushing me... She told me that it wasn't the bandages but my muscles contracting from the procedure...she then asked me if I had my meds and where I was staying... And she told me that they would be here soon to put me in my garment... I was thrilled and ready to lay in the comfy beds at the spa! After I got changed I went across the way to check on the other 2 girls that had sx the same day... They were both really stiff and in mild pain...one of the girls had got her arms and thighs done too so she was a little worse off but I guess that's expected...

Junior came and got us about an hour later and took us to the RH... That day I caught up on sleep and text my sx buddy to see how her sx went. As for my time at the recovery house every day was pretty much the same... I'd take my meds and vitamins in the morning and ease myself out of bed to walk to the table for breakfast.... I had eggs and pancakes every morning with juice...you have the option to eat in your room but I know it is VERY IMPORTANT to WALK after sx.... No matter how exhausted you are or how painful it may be you got to move around to keep your blood circulating! For the first few days my only exercise was walking to and from the dinner table to my room... But it was better then nothing... It was hard to walk because with the tummy tuck you have to walk hunched over for 10-14 days so you don't put tension on the incision... Plus I have back problems from a prior car accident so walking hunched just made it worse... Lol... My room was located downstairs and there were about 9 rooms upstairs... I would hear girls talking up there so at 3 days po I took it upon myself to climb the 20 stairs so I could introduce myself to the other girls and socialize a little bit... All the girls were nice and it was nice to hear their stories and a little about their backgrounds and home lives... I really enjoyed talking to them they were all down to earth interesting ppl....

I want to say that through this process I had NO PAIN! My tummy tuck hurt the least out of everything.... My left breast would have a stinging sensation when I would pull myself out of bed but I believe that was because of the tension I was putting on the muscle... My butt cheeks were sore like I did 100000 squats and my back was tender from the lipo... My back felt raw like one giant bruise when it was touched... It made it hard to sleep on my back because there would be constant pressure on it... But none of these feeling are what I consider pain... Pain to me is like labor contractions or spraining and ankle... What I felt was discomfort... Like I did an intense workout and am paying for it the next day... Lol... I just felt extremely achy and stiff... The worst part to me was the lipo... If I didn't get my back liposuction the rest would have been a breeze!

I didn't have any complications while I was down there... No infection, no fever, nothing! I took my meds and vitamins like prescribed... I had sx on a Friday and went for my first checkup the following Wednesday... The nurse changed me bandages on my tummy tuck and breast incisions and said everything was healing good! She told me to clean my belly button every day with alcohol and water... What she did notice is that I had accumulated alot of fluid in my lower back (where my tramp stamp is...lol) and that if it doesn't go down with a massage she will have to drain it the following day with a needle...I asked do they numb it first and she said NO! I almost passed out! Any who... The fluid didn't go down So the next day I was back in the office getting it drained... This was the MOST painful part of my experience... The needle was so big and my back was soooo tender from the lipo! I cried like a baby... She ended up taking out over 150cc just out my lower back and I have to admit that even though it was painful I felt so much better! This all happened on Thursday and I informed her I was leaving the next day (Friday) and asked about my drain she said I would have to keep it in for another 5 days... As soon as I got back to the spa I called my doctor in the states to see if she would take my drain out the following Monday and she agreed! I was thrilled because some doctors don't want to touch you if you had work done out the country...

So that night I got my thing packed to leave the next day... By Friday morning I was ready to go home! My flight was at 2 so junior dropped me off at the airport around 12... I got a wheelchair and they checked my luggage... Security with my drain wasn't that bad... In DR they took me into the back room and had me lift up my dress to show them my fajas... I told her I had a tummy tuck and she just felt around... She didn't make me unbutton it... The 4 hour flight to Atlanta wasn't that bad but I noticed I didn't drain the entire trip home so my feet and legs were swollen.... When I got to Atlanta I had to go through customs pick up my luggage, recheck it, and go back through security... I advise you to have a wheelchair on your way home especially if you have a tummy tuck... Security in Atlanta wasnt bad either they just looked at my drain and swabbed my hand for explosive materials I guess... Then I was off to my next flight... I had a 4 hour layover but it gave me time to eat... My flight from ATL to Louisiana was only 1 1/2 hours so I wasn't anymore swollen then the previous flight... Hubby picked me up from the airport and I was off to my home sweet home! I missed my boys so much...

When I got home I still needed help getting in and out the car or off the couch but each day got better... Hubby gave me massages and helped me shower and change my bandages... I was still walking hunched over until about 10 days po... Then gradually day by day I started to stand upright... By 12days po I had alot of my energy back... I was able to straighten up the house and even cook dinner... I'm currently 3weeks post op and I feel great... I do still get tired easily but I'm able to do everything by myself... I take care of my 2 year old and 5 month old with no problem other then being exhausted by the time hubby gets off of work... I do nap during the day when my kids nap because I don't want to over do it and end up hurting myself or my results.

Well that's pretty much it for my review. Yily was nice... Some people think she's rude but I just think its her demeanor that comes off a little rough... She did a great job! I love my results! My incisions are beautiful and my ass looks great. She had little fat to work with on me and I believe she did her best! I'm happy and that's what matters!

Dislikes: Yily only put fat in the top of my ass... I wish she would have put more in the lower parts to give me more of a cup...but I'm still satisfied with the work in its entirety!

Hello ladies! I've been MIA for a bit celebrating my bday that just passed!....as for an update... I'm healing great and feeling great... I still have fluid in my back and if I have my faja off for too long my tummy gets puffy so I still wear it all the time,.. I'm not so much stiff anymore but I do get this sensation as if my skin is ripping if I move or get up too suddenly... But that's expected with the lipo... I'm not gettin massages any more but my hubby does rub my back with lotion every night even if its only for 10mins to break up the fluid...

My breast have seemed to have settled into place and they look fabulous! Perky and bouncy

My butt had fluffed some more and is jiggly like a natural butt :)

If you are getting a tummy tuck YOU MUST BUY Silicone scar sheets!!! I use Scar Away brand! I swear by these things! I tend to keloid and my drain hole was not pretty...but I used the scar sheets for 3 days and my keloids were gone!!! Like freakn magic!!! Don't use them until 4 weeks though... Your incision must be healed completely before you start using them...ill post comparison pics of my scar to show you! Scar sheets are a MUST if you keloid like I do!!!
