Told my family about Surgey

Hey Girls!

So I told my mom and sister about my plans to have bbl in DR. At first my mom wasn't too supportive because she said I could just workout and I'll get the body I want but I told her I'm having the surgery and would love for her to support me. Eventually she had a change of heart. My sister has been very supportive as well.

I actually had hesitations about the surgery and told them I don't think I want to go through with it and they actually seemed kind of disappointed! They told me to just prepare myself and encouraged me to have my surgery if it will make me feel better about myself. This actually made me feel very happy because they are so supportive about my decision.

My mother was actually born and raised in Dominican Republic and had a tummy tuck and lipo about 10 years ago there so I am aware about fajas, massages, and all that aftercare stuff. I also had a cosmetic procedure there at that time so I know that practices there are very different from the US but I trust everything will go okay as long as I prepare myself, know what's normal in the healing process and know what isn't and know what to do if I do have any issues. My mom has plenty of family and friends there so I will be staying with them for two weeks. Honestly I was becoming overwhelmed not so much b/c of the surgery but in finding a high quality recovery house. I think the aftercare is the most important aspect of surgery and this is not something I wanted to skimp on. So I’m glad I have family there that will look out for me. I will still hire a nurse, masseuse, and a driver.

I've upped my iron to 81 mgs and so far so good. Ladies, if you are having issues with constipation or stomach issues taking regular iron, I highly suggest trying chelated iron. I take bluebonnet. Though I suffer from anemia I have avoided iron supplements due to awful side effects and feeling like I was going to die! But I have had no issues with this type of iron.

Beginning My Supplements

So even though I'm not planning on having my surgery until next fall, I know the importance preparing early because time flies!!!!! This year went by so quickly!
I have a history of anemia so I have begun my iron. I've been feeling a little drained lately and I suspect that I may have low iron levels again. Last year my level was a 9 or 10, but I'm unsure of current levels. I'm taking chelated iron 54 mg because these don't kill my stomach like other types. I want to get my levels up as much as possible so I may increase the dose and see how much a can tolerate a day and then reduce if necessary.

I have an appt. next month so i'll just ask my doc to perform that test so I know where I'm starting at. I'm also going to begin a multi vitamin. I currently juice green vegetables every other day but I think I can use a vitamin supplement.

So I think that is all for now, if there are any other supplements I should consider taking, either now or in the future please let me know. Thanks!

Hey girls! I'm a 27 soon to be 28 year old looking...

Hey girls! I'm a 27 soon to be 28 year old looking to have a bbl with Dr. Duran next fall. I have looked at and fallen in love with how amazing her surgeries turn out. Most importantly, for me at least, is that she seems to be a very kind, caring doctor and this is a quality I look for in any doctor.

I naturally have a very slim waist, wide hips, and thick thighs but have lacked in the butt area :(. I've recently began weight training and my body has improved and butt rounded out a bit but I feel like I can use "cleaning up". I look okay in clothes but when they come off I am pretty flabby:/

My desire is to continue building muscle to tone up my body and not focus so much on burning fat so that I can have that transferred over from my stomach to my butt. The women who I find to have more pleasing results are already in pretty decent shape but have BBL to finish things off. So my goal is pretty much to build muscle while retaining or gaining fat if necessary so that when I have the BBL my body will be really tight and firm post op. I still want my body just improved.

I'm in the early stages of research but I have been looking at BBL pictures for a while now. I have learned quite a bit already in the few journals I have read and look forward to reading about many more experiences.
