I am having surgery on Friday. I have thought about the appearance of my nose for a long time. For the most part it hasn't bothered me but as I get older aging in general along with a big nose is hard. I am 50. I'm also from a small town and have worries of what people will say, think, etc. Dr. Imola is wonderful; very kind and skilled. I'm still pretty nervous.
Before Pictures
Well here are my before pictures. I am headed to Walmart to get all my recovery supplies. I started taking the vitamedica supplements yesterday. I'm getting excited but nervous. I read a post last night about how a nose collapsed after surgery and not to believe all the "worth it" posts on real self. It was a little disheartening to read her post. She said to take the posts on here with a grain of salt. I'm trying to stay positive!
Day 2
I had my surgery yesterday with no complications. It took 4 hours! The nurse told me that the surgeon is a perfectionist, so that is a good thing. I felt so good when I got home that I think I overdid it a bit , because my nose bled steadily all day but finally subsided early this morning once just sat and slept. I have pretty bad bruising and swelling; bruising under both eyes and swelling on eyelids. The tip of my nose is also pretty swollen. I really think I am going to be pleased with my nose and the change. It's just hard to tell with everything so swollen. I'm excited for each new day and feeling blessed!
