Thank you all for your words of encouragement!...
WORTH IT$1,600
Thank you all for your words of encouragement! It's been an interesting week. Explant went well... Local anesthesia, so I was awake and aware of everything. The drugs they gave me were great... I didn't seem to care about what was happening.... Even when the surgeon was performing the capsulotomy and cut beyond where she had numbed me!! I felt it.... And won't forget that feeling!! But all in all I was sent home after a few hours and was given a ton of meds to take for the week. I have drains as well which have been a huge inconvenience! Luckily I'm getting them out tomorrow.
I Instantly felt lighter after the implants were removed. I look like a 10 year old in clothing now..... Totally flat. I don't seem to have much breast tissue anymore , especially on the right. My breasts are really wrinkled and so soft .... Much like jello. My husband hasn't seen them yet. Maybe this week. The idea of being intimate makes me very insecure. So that is something I have to work on.
I haven't cried yet..... But I have wanted to. I am being patient with myself and allowing the emotions to come and go. I have lived through worse things than this.... So I shouldn't let this get me down. However, I'm human and have an ego that I'm having to argue with in the mirror.
Here is a pic.... 6 days post op. I'll take a better one and post it soon. Healing has been an interesting journey so far. Thank you to all who has shared and reached out. It makes this whole process sting a little less. Xoxo

Tomorrow is the day. I'll update as soon as possible. Thank you to all the ladies who have shared their stories. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, but it will all be fine. This is just another life lesson I'm meant to learn from. Hooray for boobies! No matter their condition! (My mantra for tomorrow).

Thank you to everyone for the encouraging words! It's so nice to know I'm not alone in this matter, but it is heartbreaking to realize how many of us have had to endure such sickening experiences. Thanks to the media telling us from a young age that we should look a certain way and we should "fix" ourselves until we do.
Live and learn! Xoxo

oh, that looks so painful! i am so sorry you have grade 4. you are going to look so much better without those things. our implant sizes are the same, but i have saggy overs. they REALLY should sell the reality of living with implants, rather than the ideal perfection, as that is by and large not the truth. best wishes on your surgery and i am sure you will look and feel so much better!
I feel your pain. Mine is a grade 4 too although at first the severity was minimised. And you are right about the chance of cc reoccurring which is why I couldn't contemplate replacing mine.
Good luck with your surgery.
