I am 1 week post op....I am beyond shocked at how well my recovery is progressing.

I had my drains removed 5 days after surgery. Went to Dr. Hubbard's office for a 9:00 appointment and was shocked (in a really good way) that he drove to the Plano office for just me.

I've been driving now for 4 days, comfortably. Was able to take my dog out for a short walk yesterday.....although I will probably leave that job for someone else a little longer. My 10 lb dog was still more pull that I should be dealing with just yet.

I am swollen mostly on flank area. I was able to wear jeans yesterday that I wore to my pre-op. That was exciting, I'm shrinking and swollen all at one.

A couple of things that I everyone tells you......

A couple of things that I everyone tells you....drink lots of water! It really does help with recovery. I started taking stool softeners the day after surgery. Didn't really seem to do anything for, so Sunday morning I opted for the glycerin suppositories. Knowing you will be constipated is half the battle...dealing with it quickly will make huge difference in how you feel. Pineapple/pineapple juice has great healing qualities:)

I'm 48 hours post op and truly amazed at how good I feel. I honestly felt worse from two root canals I had back in December.

My husband dropped me off at the surgical center, the nurses phoned him throughout the surgery, unpinned completion of the operation Dr. Hubbard called my husband to go over everything with him. My husband truly appreciated this. Surgery was uneventful, meaning all went well.

I was checking in for the night post op. initially wasn't thrilled about this but oh my, the staff were truly 5 star hotel quality. Not your average run of the mill nurses and techs.

My nursing staff were extremely impressed with my progress toward recovery, and kept commenting that my surgeon had done d wonderful job on me.

We all want to feel that we picked the best person for our wants and needs but it was so humbling to have other validate my decision.

Today 48 hours post op, I made breakfast, lunch straightened my hair and of course have rested. My point is I feel so much better than I had prepared myself.

Wish I would've done my mommy makeover a long time ago.
-cheers

Referred to Dr. Hubbard by a friend and could not be happier! I wanted to take a minute to prior to my surgery to share my reason for selecting my surgeon. In advance of selecting my PS I interviewed 7 other doctors, all of whom we were very thorough in their explanations and communicated however. However, Dr. Hubbard was SO much more he listened to me, as did his assistant Julie. Sitting in my consult I felt as if I were having a natural conversation with old friends. Dr. Hubbard was not the cheapest surgeon I met with by he was and is by far the one paid the greatest level of attention to me.
