I cried after going to the doctor in 2010. I found...

I cried after going to the doctor in 2010. I found out that I had severe Diastasis Recti and hernia behind my BB. Diastasis Recti is encountered during pregnancy. It's separation of the abdonimis muscles into a left&right side. As my daughter developed my abdomen separated and split apart. Less than 5% of moms have severe diastasis after having a baby. This causes me to look 5 to 6 months pregnant all the time. It basically means my muscles that hold my inside organs in place have separated and exercises will not make this better. I had surgery on a hernia behind my belly button . Going through this separation is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. The struggle to find clothes that won't make me look pregnant, not being able to engage my core to even stand up or sit down, and the constant back pain truly rules my life emotionally, physically, and mentally. The "when are you due" and " I didn't know you were expecting" are sometimes more than I can take.

I've had a long journey of emotional ups and downs, seen 6 plastic surgeons and my heart was broke with the idea my separation was too much for some of them to help me. I have tried to fight insurance as well as find a doctor, truth be told, no insurance that will help my random problem because it is considered cosmetic though my body and muscles aren’t strong enough to support my organs, this causes back pain. I am looking at using Dr. Craig Hobar as he is recommended by many. I'm having a TT on April 24th and am nerves and would love suggestions/tips you have to offer. I am so excited about my new quality of life.

Day three of recovery

I'm feeling more than I felt the first days and still can't tell what my tummy will look like. I guess I am swollen right now, not sure how the swelling factors in. I can't tell iffy breast lift is normal or equal on both sides (again could be swelling) I was a whole cup size bigger one one side than the other when I started. Last, how long does it take to find out if my Belly a Button will survive? I have to say the most impressive thing about my Doctor is he grabbed my hand and prayed with me before surgery!!!! It literally took my breath away!!
