Lower Blepharoplastry to remove bags! - Czech Republic

I chose this PS mainly due to excellent reviews. As you can see, my bags are absolutely terrible. I am hopeful that the surgery will give me a refreshed and rested look. My surgery is scheduled for May 23 and i am quite nervous. I will be flying to Czech Republic from Ireland where I live. The surgery will be performed under local with oral sedation. Has anyone had any experience with straight local and intra operative pain? My doc said he will need my co- operation during the op for the best outcome hence no general or sedation

Yeah, you won't be breathing yourself under GA, they will put a tube down your throat and hook you up to a respirator (dont worry, they will knock you out first so you wont see the tube going in :) )
Good luck, can't wait to see your results.

Alrite, i am two weeks away from my surgery and nerves are really kickin in at this stage. I really have to stop researching complications LOL. Flights and holidays are booked and I am ready to go. I am scared shitless of pain during the procedure as I will be awake for the whole time....

I think sedation is much safer than GA, so don't worry about that. I just went through a face lift with IV sedation, and the recovery was very quick and painless. I think the anticipation is always worse than the actual procedure, so just think happy thoughts and stop reading about the things that could go wrong (I know, easier said than done).

All done

I had my lower blepharoplastry two hours ago. It was all done under local anaesthetic and tbh it was quite comfortable. There were 2 brief moments when i had some pain and my PS injected some more lidocaine. Overall great experience. I should have done that years ago. I have very little discomfort now and don't really need any pain meds. To everyone who has a choice between general or local anaesthetic; go for local

Day 2 post op

As expected, some serious swelling kicked in; i really hope that this is indeed swelling and not the bloody bags moving in again :). No pain at all, I ice my eyes every few hours (roughly 3 times a day) and also take some pills prescribed by my PS to get rid of the swelling. I am amazed how easy the procedure/recovery have been so far. I am hoping for a good result since i loved my eyes straight after the surgery

Day 8

It s been a week now and i am sooo happy with the results. Shud have done that ages ago. The doc is absolutely brilliant - highly recommended to any members from Europe!!! I cant believe that the incision lines are practically invisible after a week!-. I have no make up in the picture. To sum up the experience, no pain during or after the procedure even though only local anaesthetic was used. A visit to the dentist can be more uncomfortable - i mean it! The recovery was a breeze - i was partying with my friends 48 hours post the surgery, i didnt need a single painkiller during the recovery and i am genuinely a wimp lol

How is this now several months down the track? How are the incision scars coming along?

excellent results. I too have eye bag problems. Can decide if I should get fillers or just get my eyes lifted.

I chose this PS mainly due to excellent reviews. As you can see, my bags are absolutely terrible. I am hopeful that the surgery will give me a refreshed and rested look, On the day of the surgery , he put me at ease and answered all my questions, i was awake during the procedure and i was able to discuss the progress with my PS. Even though the surgery was done under local anaestetic, it was suprisingly comfortable
