Tummy Tuck and Breast Implants - Culver City, CA

I go in tomorrow morning for my surgery. Is there anything I need to know before I go in? A tidbit of history on me... I am 30 and have two children. 1st was 8lbs 9oz and 2nd was 9lbs 7oz. I had my son natural but my daughter had to be c-sectioned. I was told that the pain is WAY worse with the C-section, is that true? Another question I am on my period now too..Is this ok? The PS said it was. Also I was wondering if any of you have had your implants done through the tummy tuck? My cousin had hers done by this same doc through her belly button and had no problems at all. Please give me any info about your procedures! TY!

UPDATE!!!! =) So I am 2 weeks post surgery! I am doing good! Still a little sore here and there! The first two days were HORRIBLE!! I was in so much pain! They had given me 1 Demerol shot and 2 fentenol shots before I had left! The Demerol was great (I had this when I had my C-section) I believe that the Fentenol didn't work at all!!! I was taking a vicodin every 2-3 hours for the first 4 days. The worse part of it all is that I am apparently a super fast healer and started developing scar tissue from the tubes for the breast aug, under each breast. So the massaging is killer!! =( My left side is really good, dropped well and the swelling isn't bad at all, but it has the most scar tissue building. The right side is still really swollen though. Through massaging we are breaking the scar tissue up! I have to massage my breasts and belly every night. I still have my drain, I can't wait to get the darn thing out! I will probably go in on Thursday! My incision is SUPER low, top of my pubic hair line and almost the crease of my hips!! And I went with a full D cup (525cc). I am super excited to see my final results, when I am fully healed.

Hey Ladies! I finally am adding pictures!! =) My...

Hey Ladies! I finally am adding pictures!! =) My pre pic is a pic of a pic...not so good but you can see the difference. I still have some swelling on my sides and I do have a tissue issue on my right breast, that the nurse is in the process of fixing. I refuse to have another surgery so the little imperfection I will deal with if it doesn't crease. Nothing major! I am VERY happy with my results!! My breast don't even look fake they are AWESOME!!! I was hoping that they were a little smaller. They are a 36DD, I was hoping for a 36D. Like I said I am excited!

Added a new full pic!

Hey Everyone! It has been awhile since I have updated. It has been almost 8 months and everything is great! I still have a spot where my right breast needs to tuck and fold. Other than that it is all good!

Great review?

Hi there, your results are great. Did you have silicone or saline? and what MD did you go to?

Very cool!!! I'm happy for u. I'm going to get my Ba done a the end of July...not sure what size to go w/ I'm very petite and don't want to look top heavy. I don't know if to get 304cc silicone or 339cc's, my question to you is are you happy w/ur size or do you wish u would of went bigger, because everyone has told me I should go w/ the bigger implant, it's so hard to decide I tried both of them on, I think I like the smaller one, but I've heard that if i like the way the smaller one looks I should go w/ the bigger one 'cause is going under the muscle???.. Please can you tell what your experience was choosing the size? And..now that you saw your result, r u happy w/ the size u chose? thanks : )

I think that I will end up bigger than what I wanted. I WOULD NOT go bigger!! I had the choice of 400-475 or the 475-525 saline bags and I chose the bigger ones. If it helps you any my cousin is very petite and she has 450ccs one side and 500ccs on the other and they look good but they are very big!!! Very Pornstar-ish. Now she wants them bigger, she is CRAZY though!! =) I love my outcome! I wouldn't change it at all!! The way I chose was put them both on and didnt use the mirror! I used my hands to feel the difference. The bigger on in my case felt good. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Jen, I see your update on 6-22. Are you going to post any pictures? I wanted to go with a 550cc implant but I'm afraid I will look fat and/or pornoish :)How are you liking your breast size?
JenD. 2 Jul 2010
I am really broad shouldered and I have a huge ribcage. I LOVE them!! Everyone that has seen them (granted they are still swollen) have said that they don't even look fake on me! So that is exciting! I have not been sized yet, but I have a feeling that I will probably end up being a DD. Which I didn't want because of the thought of looking like a pornstar, but everyone says that they look really good!! I am very pleased!! I will post clothed pictures, hubby doesn't want pics out in the open. But I they will be braless and in a tank top.

I updated, but I don't see it. Can you ladies?!?

Yes, I believe the pain with a C-Section is worse is a lot less pain. Good Luck!!

Just wondering how your surgery went! Are you healing okay? Is your discomfort minimal? Please let us know when you get a chance.

Hello.. I had my surgery done by the same dr and it went ok my breast were put in via tummy lol.. Just a little pain of course but as of pain that u can't take don't worry it's not that bad it's tolerable pain. I f u have any questions let me know and I can answer. I had a t.t with breast aug..
JenD. 22 Jun 2010
Quick question for ya! How long did you have to massage? Does the massaging help with the swelling or is it just to prevent scar tissue? How long did you have your drain in for too? Thanks!! =)

I had my surgery on May 28-Tummy tuck, lipo of flanks and breast implants w a small lift. I have 1 child and it was natural child birth so I cant compare to a C section. I cannot speak for everyone but all I can say is that the first 48hrs hours were excrutiating for me! I felt as if I was hit by a mack truck! No nauseau, just pure pain. I had a lot of muscle spasms in my breasts and searing burning tightness in the abdomen. I didnt start to feel better until my drains were removed 5 days later. BTW removal of the drains was painful as well but so worth the pain if it means you're on a fast forward road to recovery!!! You'll be just fine but just be realistic about what to expect and the pain. I too had my period during my surgery-it arrived the day before. No big deal PS said-you just cant wear a tampon during the surgery. The worst part of having your period around the time of your surgery is not being able to really bathe. Sucks big time!!! I had to wash up @ the sink w soap, a cloth and water-THANK GOD FOR MY MOM!!!! It was as if I was a 1month old baby again-she cleaned me without a care in the world. Support is key. Good Luck!

How many hours was your surgery? I am frantic about being under for 5.5 hours. I an scheduled for a TT, arm lift, & thigh lift on July 2.

Hi there,

Some surgeons will perform breast augmentation through the belly button, but it's pretty rare. Here are some doctor answers on this. I have read varying things about the pain of a tummy tuck versus c-section. I think the recovery for a tummy tuck is longer. Have any ladies here had both? What do you think about the relative pain?

Good luck with your procedure!! Please keep us posted on how it goes and how you're feeling afterward.

Regarding TT compared to a C-section.
I had a C-section for twins and then 3 years later a Full TT. (at the age of 42) The C-section was so much easier than the TT for me. No comparison.
The first couple weeks, I wondered why the heck it did it at all, really depressed. But now, 10 months out, so VERY glad I did it. I feel so much more free, and confidant. I don't worry about my big hanging belly being the first thing people notice, I don't worry being intimate with my husband. Now I worry about my wrinkles! But those, I will keep!:) Just hang in there!
