Botox is a fast procedure, with some discomfort, but I wouldn't call it painful. Afterward the only stipulation is not to lay down for four hours after the injections. It may take up to a week to ten days before the full effect takes place. However, if you get Botox every 4-6 months it seems to take effect a little faster than the week to ten days.
