WORTH IT$4,501
I am about 3 weeks away from my TT procedure. I am nervous and excited. I have 3 weeks off and hope this is long enough. I had 2 c-sections and my boys are now 13 and 10 and excited about a flat stomach again. I am 5 7 and about 150. I hope it is worth it. I will keep you updated on the procedure. Any advice would be great!

I also live in Columbus and had my tummy tuck 3 weeks ago and dont regret it at all.
Awesome, I am using Dr. Wilson. You always hear the terrible stories and the recovery is so painful. I had 2 c-sections so I think it has to be similiar. How was your recovery?
That is who I used also. He is wonderful and so is his staff!!! I had 1 c-section and 3 regular births. I think this was worse recovery than the csection but i was alot younger on that csection but not unbearable to me. I think i was mainly real sore and hard to get up and down. He also sewed my stomach muscles back together. This has been the best thing I have done for myself and glad that i did it!
what is the name of your doctor ...my date it the 13th in Columbus Ga but I live in peachtree city
That is good to here. I have heard awesome things about him. Will 3 weeks off from week be enough to recover. I know I may still be sore but that is all I can take off. I have about 2 1/2 weeks till the surgery.
I only took off 2 weeks and I did fine, just tired the first couple of days and sore. :)
Great I am getting excited but dreading the recovery period.
I think it depends on what type of job you have. I am feeling real good and I got a TT on 11-22-10. I dont regret anythings except the drains!I have three kids and labor pain hurts much more, you will be fine.
My docter doesn't do the drains so I am excited about that. I work in a school sytem as an assistant principal so shouldnt be to bad. Thanks for the information.
Carol, I am excited to hear about your progress. I had my TT on 11/19/10, and am excited about the results so far.
My ps did not use the drainage too also, so I look forward to seeing if you have similar, if not better, results than I.
Most of the horror stories I hear on this site have been due to the drainage tubes.
Good luck!

I was excited when he said he didn't use the drains.I am excited just dread the recovery during Christmas.
per your earlier post... I too did not want my husbands family to know... (i.e, they are in their 80's and they saved their $, wives accepted the damage from child bearing, and they believe that in a bad economy money should be socked away...). A few days before Turkey Day we made a little side comment that I took a spill while on a walk and that things are good, but I was in a little pain. My compression garment and the brusing on my side helped with that white lie. But honestly, at day 6 post op, I was doing very well, standing up, and the family did not even ask about my faux spill.
Maybe your Xmas get together falls on, or after day 6 post op!

I had a drain in for the first night while in hospital, he removed it the following morning. It seemed much easier to manage without toting drains around attached to me!!!!!!!
He said that he didn't need to leave any drains in because of the type of cutting that he does, there is not such a big build up of fluid.

Hi Carol,
Welcome to RealSelf! You have come to a great place to help get you through this process. This is a great support community and we all cheer each other on through the process.
Three weeks off is wonderful! I recommend 3-4 for a good recovery. I have had three abdominal surgeries in the past and they were nothing like this one!
Start by going to the Tummy Tuck Forum and reading my Tummy Tuck Survival Guide. That will get you started and we can go from there with any questions you have. Also feel free to post your comments and questions in the forum section. We have so many helpful people on this site.
I look forward to reading more on your process as you go.

Yes they will definitely know something is up:) It will be ok though. It is a long healing process but so worth it all in the end. Just let everyone wait on you and take care of you. You could just tell them that you had some "female" surgery and not go into details.
Your day will be here before you know it and you will them have your new body.
Keep me up to date on how you are coming along.
