Well only 4 days to go till the big day..... I am nervous and excited all at the same time !!! All of this information has been extremely helpful. Being able to read everybodys stories has made my decision to have a tt done for myself and not feel so selfish and quilty when I think about what my family will go thru during my recovery. I know that there will be ups and downs to come in the next few weeks but I am grateful I found this site to help with all my questions.

Hi Susan.....I am 53 and having mine on the 12 also....I think I am way to excited to be nervous...but I am staying busy getting everything organized . It will be so great to share this experience with you...have you got all the supplies you will need? I am thinking the pain will be about the same as my c-section so I think it will be ok plus not having the 30 hours of labor..lol piece of cake.. We are going to do just fine...and be so flat...
So happy to be hooking up with other tuesday tummy tucker that are close to my age. I think I have gotten everything.....Hoping I havent dropped the ball!!! Are you ready?? I need to focus on the excitement and let the nerves rest! Any other words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!! Good luck to you and I will be thinking about you tomorrow!!
Oh another thing.. you might ask your PS for muscle relaxers....sometimes it is not pain but muscle spasms....pain meds do not help those at all..I work with a surgeon and that is what we prescribe with pain meds for our patients...hope this helps...Sara

Hey...good to hear from another tuesday tummy tucker!!! One minute I'm excited and the next I am catching my breath!!! Hope you are holding it together better than I am. I'm ready but still nervous and I think it's the not knowing....but this site is amazing and has helped me prepare in many ways for the next few days to come. the site is a godsend and a curse, LOL... I hope I sleep it off the 1st few days! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! LOL... I have a meditation app on my tablet that I really have to try out tonight!

I with be turning 51 next month and have scheduled...

I with be turning 51 next month and have scheduled my tt for this tuesday 2.12.2013. I am so nervous but not ready to cancel yet!! lol!! I am not over weight but miss my flat stomach that i had prior to putting on 75 lbs with my son. I want to feel confortable in my own skin again and feel good in my clothes. This site has so much info and I am trying very hard not to cancel due to my nervousness. I own my own business but have people in place to keep it all a float. I an concerned about all the resting needed to recoup if the pain meds they give you actually covers the pain. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

Please do not cancel!!   You can do this and will love the results!!  Very soon you will be done and home recovering.   

The pain meds will help deaden the pain but will not totally take it away.  The key is to make sure you stay on top of the dose as prescribed.  Do this round the clock for the first few days.  

You will come through this just fine and we will all be here to cheer you through.

Thank you for your words of encouragement.....deeply appreciated. I think a lot of it is the fear of the unknown plus I am a bit of a control freak and not being able to do all that is required with my demanding husband and son is a big part !!!!! I havent told any friends yet but they will find out soon so for now you all are my buddies and my leaning post to get me thru this !! Thanks again !!! I feel like I have a new group of friends and I know I am going to need you guys in the upcoming few weeks !!!!

I'm right about your age and also run my own business! Believe me, i worried about the pain management more than anything else and it is surprisingly manageable! You have to be positive and know how great you're going to look!! I'm on day two of recovery and can't believe how well i am able to get around! Good luck!
So glad to hear you are doing well!!! You sound so positive and up and you are on day 2....well on your way to recovery !!!! Yay for you!! I know everybody is different I just hope I don't turn into this big wimp. So what did they prescribe you for pain?? How uncomfortable are the drainage tubes?? I have so many questions !!!! I know most of it is nerves!! Any info or helpful hints would be deeply appreciated!!! :)
