9 months post op
Ok it has been a while since I posted, got back into my routine and feel great and time just flies! I think I am slower than most but finally my lower ab swelling or tissue that needed to flatten has finally gone almost all the way down. I am so excited! I still have swell days though especially with the darn heat we have had this summer in the 90's to 100's most of the summer so it is to be expected. The doctor said up and down swelling is still to be expected and will one day just be gone. It is so minor though only I will notice. I have finally updated pictures also. Wish I had done this years ago, so happy!

Well I am currently week 10 now, wow how time flies! I thought I would never get past the first month and now I am a couple weeks shy of 3 months. I have to say my stomach and muscles are feeling really good now. Not much soreness. I have been back at the gym doing my spinning classes and some weights. I haven't started my weight classes yet I think I will wait a couple more weeks for that and will still have to revise some moves.
I have come down with a yucky virus this past week I am just so grateful it happend now and not earlier in my recovery. I have been coughin a lot and having these horrible double sneezes that are so strong. I basically bend all the way over and hold my stomacg and it seems to work. No pain yet. At the beginning of this yucky virus I did sneeze though and had a burning pain on my side that lasted a couple of days but it went away and it hasn't hurt since so I must have strained something. I will post some updated pictures in a couple of days. I was so happy to get back into working out and going to the gym only to be set back :-( Oh well I need to get better and get right back into it. Oh also the day before I got sick I ran outside for the first time yipee! I went a total of 5 miles and probably ran about 4 of it and it felt really good. I am so excited! I was mainly doing it on my treadmill because I was running funny, but I think I look normal now when I run :-) At least I hope so, I didn't notice any funny looks my way. This is and has been a long recovery, but is so doable and goes faster than you think it will. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Oh one thing I am still having trouble with is realizing my muffin top is gone. I keep forgetting and thinking I still have it. My brain isn't where my body is. It needs to catch up! LOL! I also bought my first belt online and am waiting for it to come in, can't wait to wear it! I haven't been able to tuck in a shirt and wear a belt in so long I forget how! I also tried on a bikini, I am going to rock that thing this summer for sure! I don't care what anyone says. Hopefully I will be on my way to a sick pack by summer. At least that is my goal.
Feeling is coming back big time in my stomach now. the only area I still am numb is around my belly button, right above it and below the belly button to the incision line. That seems to be where the swelling is hanging on to as well. At this point the only thing I need to do is stop wearing my spanx! I can't seem to, but I need to right now because of all my coughing and sneezing. After my cold is gone I am going to start to wean myself off of it and try to just wear it to work out. Well hopefully my blabbing has helped somone out there, more pictures and updates to come!

I'm meeting doctors in Cincinnati right now for a tummy tuck. Can you please tell me who did your surgery? Thanks!

Post op week 7 and 3 days
Well this past week I have felt soo much better. My stomach isn't as sore and I am feeling more normal. I went back to the gym 1 day and plan on going more this week. I did the spin bike alone to practice before I go to a class. I think I will try a class next week. I also ran a bit more this week. Today I went 6 miles on my treadmill in the basement and ran probably about 3-4 of It. I did yesterday as well and wasn't sore at all today. I am so excited! Nothing bad or unusual to report this week. Swelling is going down and I started silicone scar sheets at night. Can't tell a huge difference yet but hopefully will soon. I will update a picture next week when things look a bit different not a ton of change yet but some.

you said you got the medium. I found it online.. can I ask your height and weight. or hip and waist size?? just something so I have an Idea if medium will work for me
Yes I did get the miracle suit brand size medium. I also have a spanx brand as well and I like it they just run a lot bigger so if you get that brand go smaller. At the time of surgery i weighed 135 and I am 5 foot 3 inches. I currently weigh 125 and the medium still works for me because they were soooo tight. I am not sure what my waist and hip were before surgery but now my waist is 28 inches and hips are 37. They were way bigger before surgery and the medium still fit just harder to get on. I hope that helps ;-)
It does Sounds like we are close to the same size. So your favorite and recomended brand for post op week 3 is ??? ( I have to buy whatever it is I get online so trying to get details right)
My Doc just said Go to the store and get some type of girdle garment... (not real helpful on that)
THANKS A BUNCH!!
Miracle suit in a medium - Spanx maybe a small

I got a maidenform fat free dressing one and really like it. I got a size medium and it fits really well. I lucked out and found one at TJ maxx for $10 and the other at Belk for $26. Everyday I wash the one that I was wearing in the shower and hang it up... then rotate them out the next day. Here is the link to it on the belk site. They have them on sale for $16!!

MP.. thanks for the link.. Just reading your review I saw you had a mini TT. My question is how snug is the garment you got? I had full with muscle repair so I am not sure if it's snug enough.. It didnt say on the site if it was firm control or what.. so just looking for more info on it.. I like the price but For now still leaning toward the Miracle suit.. The spanx and the one you suggested are both NOT open crotch and not easy to move over to go potty... I DO NOT like the idea ( or the pain) of pulling it up and down so much..
I also had muscle repair. It is pretty snug but not super tight. It is a pain to get up and down but I've gotten used to it. I like how it is super smooth...so seams.
It'sbeenlongenough, my favorite one still is the miraclesuit brand. It is very smooth also with no seams and I like the butt part it doesn't pinch and make my thighs stick out. I think I would have liked the spax better if I had gotten a smaller size it is very smooth as well. In addition to the style number I gave you in the miraclesuit I also got style 2755. I am wearing it now it is super tight and it is a size large. I know I am 8 weeks today and still wearing them but they keep the swelling down and make me feel held together. I am trying to wean myself but if I am out an about a lot I just wear them because I like the way they feel on. I actually got my one miraclesuit on sale that is probably why you couldn't find it at Macy's. Good luck!
