My wound is beefy red and I'm told very Healthy but changinh guaze 3x a day is a lot. I'm tired of the recliner. Help

you are normal from what I am reading on here - please post pics and thanks for sharing
We had our surgeries at the same time. Though I have had a few post op complications, I am blessed that my incision is healing very well. I'm so sorry to hear yours has not. Are you on any antibiotics? Do you put any kind of ointment on it? We're you a smoker or diabetic? What all did you have done, and can you post pictures?
Everyone heals differently. Are you putting anything on it?
Post pictures please..
Pajld, I had surgery the beginning of February and did not walk upright for what felt like close to a month. The skin on your belly is probably pulled nice and tight so it's completely normal. I preferred my recliner for almost 6 weeks but did share myself with my bed after about 10 days. Some nights I would start out in bed but move to the recliner because it was so much more comfortable and I actually felt like I got a good nights sleep. I remember the discomfort trying to lay in my bed. Nothing felt right. I'd like to take a peek at the open wound. Have you been in touch with your ps and has he or she actually seen it? If your not comfortable with changing dressing so often I would try to get into the office. There was one spot on my belly that would heal so my ps actually removed the scab and it closed right up. I'll be 9 weeks po tomorrow and loving every minute of everyday. I know I didn't feel that way after three weeks. Hang in there and know your not alone. Everyone heals and returns to normal at a different pace. Enjoy the blessing of having the opportunity to do something like this for yourself. Hang in there!!!
Thank you so much....
