I recently had 8 Porcelain Veneers put in and I am over joyed with the results. I am really happy with my new teeth and my new smile. I will be uploading some pictures at a later time, but if anyone has any questions or concerns you can email me at XXX@yahoo.com Dr. Tokowitz was fantastic and he made me feel so comfortable during the whole process even when I was doubting my decision in the beginning. But I am so happy with my results as you can probably tell by my photos.

Dr. Eliot Tokowitz

Dr. Tokowitz was amazing! I was hesitant at first because it really is an expensive procedure and I wanted to make sure that I was going to have good results with the money I was spending. From the beginning Dr. Tokowitz explained the process to me which put me at ease. We looked over some before and after pictures of some patients and then we looked at pictures of different smiles that he could do. We went with something very natural as opposed to the "Hollywood" smile, which in reality would have looked really fake on me. At least that is what I think. Next we decided on a shade for my teeth. I didn't want anything over the top and went with something white, but natural looking. It really is a two step process. During your first appointment he will make temporary teeth for you and once he creates your porcelain teeth he does the procedure on your second appointment. Honestly I was really scared when I received my temporary teeth because I felt they might be a little to big and it just didn't seem natural for me. But right away he told me, "trust me, when you get your porcelain veneers, you are going to love them." He was right! I love them. They are perfect! I really recommend him and his team. They are all amazing and the the money I spent was worth every penny for the fantastic results I received.

What is upkeep on vaneers?

I wear my mouth guard at night because I grind my teeth and I obviously don't want to damage my new teeth. I am also going to see my dentist every 4 months. Just for the first year. He wants to make sure that I am doing everything possible to keep my smile looking great. I also started flossing more regularly once I got the veneers.

Thank you the pictures, and for your review :).  Which teeth did you get covered?  Was it all eight on top or split?  And why were you trying to fix with the veneers?  Like, sizing, shaping, color, crookedness?  :)  Thanks, again!

I got my 8 on the top. So my two front teeth were included in my 8 veneers. The main reason was shaping and sizing. I grind my teeth a lot and my dentist told me that I needed to immediately do something about it. He actually made me a mouth guard. But it wasn't until a couple weeks later that I asked him about veneers. He had to reconstruct my canine teeth as well because I had ground it down; it was pretty flat. Also, since I had been grinding my teeth they looked a little small. But now I have beautiful veneers and I use my mouth guard at night.

Ah, yes, bruxism!!!  That is so great that he made you a mouth guard.  We have a lot of people whose veneers got ruined because they grind their teeth.  Did the doctor talk to you about that as well?

Yes he did. He basically told me that if I am going to have veneers I need to always wear my mouth guard. Just to make sure I'm keeping my promise of wearing it, I have to see him every three months for a check up. What I love about Dr. Tokowitz is that he is very proud of the smile he had given me and wants to make sure I really take care of it. I think it's great because it really does help me stay on task on caring for my teeth.
