Mommy Makeover: Stories

I am 32 years old and I have 4 beautiful babies. My oldest is 7 and my youngest is 2. I breastfed all four of them so with them being so close together that kept me breastfeeding for 7 years strait! I am very active and have gotten to my pre-pregnancy weight after each birth.

My lower abdominal muscles are very stretched though. When I stand up strait it looks like I have a flat stomach, but if I bend over it is very loose!!! I am scheduled for a mommy makeover on April 20th. I am set to have a breast lift with 286cc silicone implants, mini tummy tuck and lipo of the flanks. I am really excited, but also nervous! I am afraid I will not be happy with the results. This site has been very helpful! I have enjoyed reading everyone else's stories....so I will share mine :) about me: 5' 10" 135 lbs 32 yrs old

Does anyone have a guess what size bra I will wear? I am wearing a 34 D now...mostly just cramming all the loose tissue in there ;) At the Dr's office he had me try on the 286cc implants in a D bra and they fit. So I guess that means I will wear a D. I'm just nervous because I really don't want to go too big! I hope I am still at a D

Well my day is slowly getting closer. I have been needing to have foot surgery for the last 10 years. I have put if off because of the 8 weeks of down time....well since I'm about to have down time anyway I am going to get my foot done. It will be really nice to have that done. I saw the Dr today that will do that surgery. That one is scheduled for April 3. So I will have a little over two weeks to recover before the mommy makover. That way by the time I can work out again at 6 weeks it will have been 8 weeks since my foot surgery. Perfect!

I have been feeling the same as a lot of you. I am very excited, but at the same time I feel really guilty! I'm so scared that we will pay all this money and go threw all of this and it won't turn out well! I feel so bad for the people that are not happy and just have to live with it for at least 6 months to get a revision. My husband has been so supportive though! I was really worrying about justifying the money the other day and he just said that different people have different priorities. He said he can tell that looking good is important to me because I work so hard at it. He said it's no different than people taking very expensive vacations...because travel is important to them. I guess he has a point...and they are taking a chance too they could spend all of that money and not enjoy their trip.

I just hope the time flies!!! I really want to be on the other side!!

Time is moving so slow! I took some measurements today so I will be able to compare after.

Bust: 33 1/2 (wow it's always been 36 before babies)
Waist: 25.5
3" below BB: 35 (this is the biggest part of my stomach)
Hips: 36 (not going to change, but just thought I would measure anyway)

My weight is up a bit at 138...so I hope I can loose those 3 lbs by surgery. I don't want to go into a 6 week break already 3 lbs up!!

Ok ladies I hope some of you can relate to this. I feel really bad I just totally lied to one of my friends, which I feel terrible about. I told her my surgery was just going to be a breast lift no implants and never even mentioned the mini TT. I don't plan on telling people, but I didn't plan on lying :(
How did you ladies handle telling the people who are going to know you had surgery? I just work really hard to look as good as I do and people always ask how do you look so good after 4 kids. I guess I'm just afraid if they know about the surgery they will discredit all of my hard work and think it is all fake. Am I just crazy?

I just got home from my pre-op visit. I am so excited! I got all of my questions answered and my PS made me feel so comfortable. I can't believe that my day is only a week away...but I wish it was today. I'm all paid up and ready to go. Now I just need this next week to fly by :)

I am 12 days post-op. I am doing really well. My recovery has been much easier than I expected. So far I am really happy with my results...but really hopping there is still a lot of swelling! In person I feel like my belly looks a lot better, but it doesn't look perfect because I look thicker. In the photos I took this morning I don't really think I look any better :( I hope there is a lot of swelling and it goes down soon. I don't know how to tell if I am very swollen or if that is just me?? I love my breasts!! At first I was a little worried that they were too big, but once the swelling started to go down I LOVE them!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention. I was so worried about the mini TT scar for nothing. It is so so low!! Any panties or swim suit will cover it just fine! Plus it is healing so well that I don't think you will be able to see it anyway.

I was three weeks yesterday and my swelling is worse than ever! Everyone I read about with a mini TT says the swelling is so much better by three weeks. Not me! I am so sick of it. I look like I'm pregnant...and these nice full breasts just add to that! Also my belly looks lumpy. Is that normal? I wonder if that super flat belly I had at three days will ever be back? I wish I had gotten a picture of that.

I posted some pictures of my swelling. The part I was calling a lump is on the bottom right (it is on the left side of the picture) It's like a ridge kind of. It looks like I'm pregnant, or thats my scar or something. But it's not. My scar is really really low. Does anyone know why I have that ridge there???

Well I am 7 weeks today and my swelling has not improved :(
My PS says it is normal, but it seems like everyone on here is looking much better by 7 weeks! He says that mine is harder to appreciate because I didn't have any skin to remove so the swelling just brings me back to where I was. I was really hoping to be smaller than when I started by now! On a positive note I love my breasts!

Well I'm 10 1/2 weeks out now. I am still swelling really bad! I weighed myself today and I am 12 lbs heavier than the day of surgery!!! I have been eating really really well. As good or better than I eat after having a baby to loose the weight, and this weight is going no where :( I called my PS and he said it is possible that it is all swelling. He said 2 lbs of it is the implants and the rest swelling. He doesn't think I've gained any real weight. What do you ladies think? I am worried that when the swelling goes down I will still be left with this extra weight. I have been eating good and working out at least 5 days a week so I don't think I could be gaining. It's just that 12 lbs is a lot!! I don't see how I could have that much extra fluid???
